  1. There was lot of foreshadowing and "red herrings" planted all over the first eight episodes (Blocks A & B of the first Mid-Season 5) related to "cutie mark magic". The Block C (episodes 9 to 12) corresponds to the "background building" phase of a long term proyect for the season 6 and 2017 MLP Movie arcs. Episode 13 is a self-conclusive "mid season finalle" that would not have direct correlations with future episodes because of its "dream nature" (much like how it is for S5E04 outside Babs Seed "update status" reference).
  2. [From what I read about in the hypno forums]; laying on your belly over a bed or couch is the best position for both pony and human shapes. Using little or no clothes (with a light bedsheet on top if the temperature of the air is not confortable enough), also helps. Since the hypnosis is "sound based only"; the trance is easier to break if your eyes are open. You can use a sleep mask, or doing it at night in a closed quiet room [recommended to prevent noises or air currents to distract you from the commands of the voice]. The most important step to start it, is to accept and follow the instructions without any doubts (if you have any reserves, read about it, ask questions and participate in chats until you feel satisfied). You have to first believe in the voice (rather than the message it delivers or the porpouse of the hypnosis), since for your subconcious the only thing that matters to get in trance is if you trust in him/her or not. Once you got a stable trance and passed the complete reshaping phase; what you want to obtain from this experience becomes more important than the mere relaxation [this is the philosophical part were you rediscover yourself by not being yourself for a while].
  3. We have three episodes focused on "background ponies": "Slice of Life" : secondary (and terciary) characters from Ponyville & The Everfree Forest (Zecora, Steven Magnet and the Changeling). "Princess Spike": secondary characters from Canterlot (including Spike & Cadance by origin) and "V.I.P.s" from all of Equestria. "Amending Fences": terciary "new" characters from Canterlot [they were so far in the "plot temporal distance" they could be from Twilight´s previous life / incarnation xD ].
  4. Something similar happened to me after reading about the Tulpa & Pony Hypnosis comunity trough their member´s experiences here on mlpforums. I already had self-made basic ideas about the inner workings of some aspects of the mind; that I never found properly explained on any other place (sometimes barely touched upon in fiction, like in Philip Pullman´s His Dark Materials Saga).
  5. First thing, your O.C. is super cute [you may have started a new artistic trend by making Diamond Dogs adorable] Diamond dogs seems to have their own special kind of magic [a solid variation of Tempulari, the water/vapor manipulation magic of Pegasi]. They also have increased strenght and inertial inmunity instead of flying (if the Rainbow Rocks humane versions of them are of any indication from the scene with the grand piano). Maybe the same magic repels pasively the dust out the clothes and respiratory system, mantaining them healthy in what would be otherwise a very nocive enviroment [witch solves your "neat" problem, as a quick brush would be enough to restore the fur to decent conditions]. Also, I never considered the advantages of being able to quickly "phasing out" from surface space like if the earth and rocks of the ground were made of foam. The idea of building your own house in a matter of hours (instead of weeks/months) was one of the reasons for me to choose pegasi. What you may lose in mobility, is compensated by security and stability; (as is not necessary to choose between anchoring or drifting on winds).
  6. A "Rainbow Power" version of her: Link: vbastv.deviantart.com/art/Bonus-Lights-Shimmer tinyurl.com/vbastv-Lights-Shimmer
  7. You are assuming the partial pressure of oxigen at that altitude is the same in Equestria than on Earth. You are wrong. The size, shape and weight (based on the materials used) of both balloons and zeppelins in the show (not taking account of the weight of ponies and/or cargo) requires the atmosphere to be at least 5 times denser (with a pressure at ground level similar to the coral rifts under the sea). This also explains why RD in "Sonic Rainboom" [s1E16] the supersonic shape of the "phase 3" (and subsequent hipersonic cone when she is about to create the titular move) forms at relative "slow" velocities [based on the visual displacement observed]. With an atmosphere with much more atoms per cubic milimeter, a pegasi in Equestria can breath at cruiser plane altitudes as good as a human would in a very high mountain [but probably not for a very long time (like hours) since other problems may arise]. The problem with that reasoning is assuming the requirements of oxigen for the brain are the same for non-sentient "dumb" birds than for equestrian ponies.
  8. It is a good choice if you want to live by yourself in a secluded place (and posibly, helping others in a similar situation); without the need to interact with human society. Pegasi will have to "hide in clouds" and steal food and other resources in order to live in freedom. Unicorns (without mastery on magic) will have depend of others (ponies or humans); making their future uncertain in the short term.
  9. You also included some fan-exclusive characters (like Flufflepuff), and ponysonas (John de Lancie). For this ammount of characters (the majority unable to fly), you should consider the 3x(wide) 1080p format [5760x1080] ; for a better distribution, grouping and less superposition.
  10. In my headcannon; FiM episodes are a mashup of different non-parallel timelines "bouncing" between events that work like "atractor points of convergence", before diverging again with minimal (but different) internal cannon events. This way the total ammount of days passed "in a single year" of the show could be greater than 365 (it is more important for the non-winter seasons days, since there is little room to accomodate all episodes happening without snow/cold). Some of the common events that unfolded (almost) the same way in every timeline (from the past to the future): "Princess Twilight Sparkle: Part 2" (flashbacks) [s4E02] "Cutie Mark Chronicles" (flashbacks) [s1E23] "Friendship is Magic" [s1E01] "Sonic Rainboom" (for relevant episodes involving Rainbow Dash & The Wonderbolts in all timelines [s1E16] "The Return of Harmony" [s2E01&02] "Its About Time" [3 different timelines] ; the actual atractor point of convergence is the "Opening of Tartarus" [s2E20] "The Crystal Empire" (the Canterlot Wedding happened, but the "changeling invasion" is optional) [s3E01&02] "Magical Mystery Cure" [2 timelines]; (the "Keep Calm and Flutter On" not always ends with Discord´s "conditional freedom") [s3E13] "Equestria Girls" [two different timelines shown in the movie, one for each side of the mirror (Equestria & C.H.S.)] "Princess Twilight Sparkle" (Discord is/not stone is irrelevant, relinquish of the Elements is constant)[s4E01&02] "Trade Ya!" [not an attractor point] Has examples of FiM having more than one single linear continuity. "Twilight's Kingdom" (the other "key episodes" may involve other ponies, different days or key objects; but Twilight´s missing key must come from a released, betrayed, powerless Discord) [s4E25&26]. "Rainbow Rocks : Prelude Shorts" (some videos from the prequel book timeline, others are just imaginary spots) "Rainbow Rocks" (both Equestria & C.H.S. in a single timeline, but different from the other two of the first movie). "Rainbow Rocks: Encore Shorts" (aditional imaginary spots) "The Cutie Map" (only the coldstart with the creation of the map; the "Cutie Markless Quest" is optional) [s5E01] (not enough data to consider any other S5 episode as an "unavoidable" event for the main six) ["Slice of Life" is just a single timeline]
  11. What about multiple but independent characterizations for each Spike involving a multiple personality mental disorder?
  12. If I had a "safenet" (either from other ponies or trough decent humans giving me protection, civil rights and basic resources); then I will be a unicorn. Even if will take me years to learn to float a spoon in the air, the promise of magic will give me a reason to not being "as usefull as possible" in the meantime. But since the conditions is just "on Earth" (no other usefull data available on the O.P. ; appart of having to "learn by myself"); then I suppose it would be like in the "Four Score" fanfics; were I will be alone and getting myself hidden and independent as posible. That is the reason I voted for "Pegasus"; because the pasive ability for controling and molding clouds (more than actually "flying fast"; just "hovering" and "falling slow" will suffice); will give me the chance of remain undetected in an unconspicuous "mobile base"; moved by the wind most of the time. I will carry with me as much as posible in saddlebags; (only going down_to_earth for food resupplies, as there is plenty of water and solar energy in my "house" for my basic needs). As another extra bonus, since I am not always in the same place (rarely over cities); it lowers the chance of being found by accident by some curious human (while still getting in touch with others and use the Internet with a big tablet or smartphone attached to my forelegs).
  13. I do not start "my own threads" ; but for those were I did a long, complex answer (to another user previos post); I usualy set the "Follow: 1 day" to know (from my email notifications) if at least there is some activity on the thread [because I am more interested on being readed than quoted =P ].
  14. Every time they repeat a lesson like if it was the first time; the inconsistencies in the character are carried back from past events entirely missing from his life (or differently played).
  15. I always had the heacannon that "some episodes" belong to alternate timelines. It solves inconsistencies and depresurize the ammount of days available in the right seasons (a restriction impossed from the animation stage more than from the scripts) without the need of superposing events or adding extra years. Is not much about the episodes ´s scripts being done by different writters; but more like the fact that not all of them "did the research" before giving wrong characterizations for the benefit of the story [FiM is a character driven show; not an episodic "did that, done; now forget" like the Simpsons]. As an example (with public apologies an everything) is the first episode of Merriwether Williams "The Mysterious Mare Do Well" [s2E08]. She admitted that her writting work for this episode started after consulting the "Bible of the Show" of Lauren Faust & Amy Keating Rogers and watching the pilot because it was part of her contract as a new writter for FiM. Then she look for details of the town´s schematics (witch were established in other "already done", rejected and "next season" scripts) for what should (or not) be added ; instead of watching the show and learning about the characters beyond what is in their "bio". The problem is what is "cannon" to one timeline and what is not. It would be funny if the "first Future!Twiligth" was from some of those alternate realities; with her intent to fix her own timeline from something "really awfull" not working at all for her; but somehow being successfull for the "Groucho Marx Twilight" giving a speech to the town. [Then this "second Future!Twilight" messing up a third timeline by asumming it was "herself" (or a perfect past duplicate) the one receiving the same lecture; when it was a divergent one with a different mindset.]
  16. Nice idea, the tail is common to all races/kind of ponies; but also compatible with other sentient species like griffons.
  17. Applejack was still a filly when she traveled to Manehattan and saw the Sonic Rainboom of S1E23 (even his "big brother" MacIntosh did not seem to have more development than Fluttershy). The idea of Applejack being a full grown adult (while the others are still teenagers) is unnecessary. Equestria is still in the Middle Ages; so anyone able to form their own family (reproduction) is by default an adult; having the same responsabilities and rights under the law than what is expected for someone today in their mid 20´s [this was the "headcannon" of Lauren Faust and Amy Keating Rogers for the stories in the "bible of the show", even before S1]. Also: Source: http://mlp.wikia.com/wiki/Transcripts/The_Last_Roundup Applejack participated on 10 different rodeos all over Equestria (this one in S2E14 happens somewhere between Canterlot and Dodge Junction). There certainly must be one in Ponyville too (if is not precisely part of the "Iron Pony competition" of S1E13). In conclusion: Applejack is not 10 years older than the rest, but probably younger than Fluttershy. - - - - - Source: http://mlp.wikia.com/wiki/Transcripts/The_Ticket_Master - - - - - - - - - - Source: http://mlp.wikia.com/wiki/Transcripts/The_Ticket_Master Also: Source: http://mlp.wikia.com/wiki/Transcripts/My_Little_Pony_Equestria_Girls Then: The Grand Galloping Gala is the celebration of the end of the Summer, just at the equinox of September 21st. [Canterlot High School´s planet and Equestria do not have to be "in sync" with the seasons; much more because in the later they are done manually ; but the "concept" of Fall is the same on both].
  18. [MLP related] Rarity: "Oh! I see! I go out of my way to get you tickets for a show, and this is how you repay me? . . . when you come to see my fashion show without any fashion to show, you can have more entertainment! "Oh, why look, there's our friend Rarity going down in flames! Isn't friendship magic?!" From "Rarity Takes Manehattan" [s4E08]; (interiors, Hotel room). The delivery from Tabitha St. Germain was so perfect (and the animation of Rarity´s face and body language), that I ended in the ground, gasping for air from the unstoppable laugh. Somehow, I managed to stop the episode via spacebar just before rolling down. If I watched this episode live, I would have missed the first "rainbow conection"; (that long was my "LOL moment").
  19. Just watched the 100th episode of MLP:FiM. / / / For the first time (since 10/10/2010) I am "up to date" with the series. =)

      I like "Silver Comet" actually.

  20. Once I dream myself stepping in a "cloud bed" and just relaxing myself on it.
  21. A little less "offtopic"; this one is a mix of different franchises (some more mainstream than others): youtu.be/crkbf3a1PnQ
  22. They probably need to eat "regular food" to mantain their bodies even with their magic (otherwise Sonata would never developed a "sweet tooth" for tacos). They feed from emotions in order to boost their powers, but without "Equestrian Magic", the only thing they can do with "the raw power of distrust" is just stopping their aging [keeping themselves young for more than a thousand years]. The sirens never knew about the portal (or the true origin of Sunset and Twilight); otherwise they will have tried to go back to Equestria [the "storybook animation" seems to sugest they were pulled trough a temporary RIFT in space, instead of a permanent portal]. The mirror/gateway between worlds probably acts like a firewall, catching any attempt to access Equestria and forcing it to open trough it (that way it could be "guarded" by Celestia, Cadance or Twilight in case they try to come back); the limitation for normal access on just a few days per every two-and-a-half years is just to minimize the chance of accidental travelers.
  23. "Five Score, Divided by Four" by TwistedSpectrum I started with the original (mature rated) version; branching then trough the multiple Teen Rated sidefics based on the same universe/setting. The "safe to work" (Teen rated) version hosted in Fimfiction: fimfiction.net/story/93383
  24. Did you just found "The Last Crusade" ? Sweetie Belle. Not only because she is a unicorn and has a wonderfull and loving family, but also because her healthy emotional inteligence (and potential for true evil Greatness ) is even superior to her sister´s. But . . . I choosed for the poll Babs Seed . I knew why from long ago; her behavior in the titular episode was a reflection of the self I was before; also a model to understand the circunstances around my own redemption and self forgiveness [before being superseeded by Rainbow Rocks two years later]. Also, she not only has the same "color scheme" I had when I was a children (Green Eyes, Red Hair, Brown skin with white freckles); but we both also have to "put masks" in order to hide our true feelings and morals to our own families; doing things trough manipulation that (we were neither proud, nor ashamed off) to have to do against them to ensure our own well being.
  25. The credits for the show are very important ; they should be more complete, adding the animation and post-production team names. A good idea of how it should have being done [at least for the end of season 3: "Magical Mystery Cure"]; is the short [57 seconds] ending dedicated to the DHX staff: Ponies the Anthology III - (MLP "Panty & Stocking" Credits) youtu.be/obQBQDasS14
