  1. Portal 2, played it from start to finish on release day. I can't recall how long it took me (it's been so long) but it was no less than 8 hours.
  2. Happy new year to all of ya

  3. So I got a new internet connection and this happened.

  4. Géill do mo thoil!

  5. Never talked to you, but I do recall seeing your name every now and then.
  6. Cold. It's not even raining, snowing or anything most of the time. It's just... cold. And grey. That's it.
  7. Apparently there's a 6 steps WikiHow on how to send messages on MLPForums. With pictures.

    1. Nightfall Gloam

      Nightfall Gloam

WAIT WAT THEY HAVE AN ARTICLE FOR THAT WAT?!

  8. Same! 'cept I added some pepperoni to it before heating it up.
  9. Today, I posed as a model. For a school project. I was supposed to look "flirty", instead I looked like.. well. This.
  10. Super excited about my new purchase. A MASSIVE 27" computer screen. It's only 1080p (so no QHD/4k unfortunately) and it's curved, but bloody hell it's massive and I love it to bits
  11. Disappointed. And a bit dazed by the metric ton of meds I had to take to combat my current sickness.
  12. I though Canterlot Avenue would have been a place to meet new, friendly and interesting people, see some quality content and maybe engage on some quality RP as well.

All my assumptions were swiftly proven wrong by its early userbase in less than 2 days.

  13. Industrial grade freezer levels of cold, with added snowfall from yesterday night.
  14. Being a photography student comes with a few perks. Such as photography studios, professional grade DSLR cameras and plenty of other students with some spare time, all wasted on taking pictures like this one.
  15. Not exactly. While I am pondering switching from a Microsoft+Android ecosystem to Apple's, the X doesn't exactly look appealing to me, especially considering how keen Apple is on supporting their older iPhone models. Should I decide (and be able to afford) to make that switch happen, the model I'll be getting will most likely be something akin to a 6s or a 7, depending on when that happens.
  16. That is one happy and sweet pone! And human too! Welcome to this magical place, I'm Flare! I'd tell you to enjoy your stay, but it looks like you already are
  17. Opening creative software for work rather than to satisfy my own creative impulses feels... different indeed.

  18. Honestly never heard of it. Is it an American thing? Here's an easy one: Adobe
  19. Ah, I almost forgot how PAINFUL AND DISHEARTENING it is to have a crush. :D

  20. Went from a couple years of "I shall not ever mention my life to anyone, as giving out intel is a sign of tactical inferiority" to "currently resisting the urge to make 4 long blog posts in a row".

To quote a random Tumblr user whose post I read once, "I've shed my skin so many times the graveyard must be full of people I used to be".

  21. I like that "smoking area" metaphor. Thing is, in its current iteration, the DP is a smoking area without doors, windows or a proper ventilation system, from which smoke leaks into other rooms and you occasionally hear things like "Non-smokers are the scum of Earth" as you walk by. I don't recall the DP being as much of an issue before its threads were shown in the "new posts" feed. Therefore, going back to the smoking metaphor, the only solution would be adding a bloody door.
  22. This is going to be one of those posts that are too personal for a thread and too long for a status update. Some might call me "man-child" or "immature" for liking a show originally intended for kids, but I took it to a whole new level by being a 24 year old who goes to high school. Little bit of explaination to that: In short, I dropped out at 16 after being forced to go to a school I simply hated with all of my soul. I went to another one next year then dropped out again in hopes of getting a job after my family started having severe financial issues. Oh I did get a couple of jobs, alright, but most of them were part-time, short term or otherwise unreliable jobs that didn't allow me to do much more other than "hand over half my paycheck to my parents, save some for myself, spend some on something nice". No matter how hard I tried, I simply couldn't find any proper job, unfortunately. Youth unemployment rate being well over 40% in my city (and that's not counting student who aren't looking for a job) isn't exactly encouraging either. After years of crap jobs and unemployment, I decided to go back to high school. Fortunately enough, some school do hold classes at night aimed at people like me. They're essentially the same as regular highscool, except the average age of its students is much higher (more than half my class is older than 25 and we have a 50 year old lady in class). This led to two things. First one is finally having something constructive to do everyday. Even when I was working, I never knew if I was going to work the next day or not. But, of course, I'm always going to go to school until the day I graduate, so I can plan accordingly. I also have objective data (grades) I can track to know what I'm doing right or wrong, without having to read my boss' body language or compare myself to my colleagues as it happened in the past. Second... I bloody got a life again. I recently moved to a new city and, as you can probably tell, it's hard to find friends without a job. The social circle I had was torn apart after something like 4 guys took some romantic interest on the same girl (and you know how that kind of stuff ends) and I hadn't found a new one ever since. Considering most people in class are around my age and pretty friendly, I can go back to being the good ol' social butterfly I was instead of a bloody emotional wreck I used to be. Not to mention it allows me to not use the internet exclusvely for social interaction which, let's be honest, is a massive relief. Being able to talk to people without running into heated debates about politics, random insults tossed around in the name of free speech and people making fun of everything you enjoy let me restore my faith in humanity. And well, that's it.
