I love over analysing the show and making headcanons! Hey, authors have reinterpreted kids stories for years, just look at the book Wicked, or the comic series Fables.

That's a grim picture you paint, but I have to agree, and it's kind of sad that stories and characters created now won't stand the test of time.

Just like Goldilocks, Snow White, Cinderella etc?

I'm not talking about a good Sombra, as in the Reflections arc of the comics, but a Sombra who has changed his ways. In the fan fiction I'm writing I'm painting him as as still an extremely dark character who will do terrible things, only now Sombra does them on behalf of Celestia.

I'd love to see her transform again, if only because it was the only part of EG I liked.

I know I am! I've watched all seasons from every generation (even G3!) And read all the comics and most of the books.

I am about to start writing a fanfiction based on the comic series Fables, where after being defeated by a dark force known only as the adversary, the Ponies must start a new life for themselves in New York City. However the villains of Equestria, and Sombra in particular, must work with Celestia and the Mane six. But would Twilight ever forgive Sombra, and could the Ponies adapt to life in the real world?

In case you guys don't know, this month the MLP annual comes out featuring the original Power Ponies:

Wow, you know a lot about fables! I've only read legends in exile and animal farm so far, but yes MOST ponies can transform, and the ponies that can't live on the farm, the Mane six (apart from Pinkie who can't transform) have normal jobs, so Twilight works in a public library for example. As for all the creatures, yes, they will be there. So for example Tirek will play the part of Bluebeard, and who is the killer, either Sunset Shimmer or Trixie, I haven't decided! But the end will be similar to book two, with either one attempting to lead an armed insurrection to take back Equestria.

I'm planning on having five of the six being able transform into humans, however Pinkie can't, so gets sent to the farm!

So basically my story revolves around the fact that the Ponies have been forced into exile from Equestria by a supremely dark force. Ten years later a reformed Sombra (who is now a detective) must investigate the apparent murder of the creator of the ponies world Lauren Faust. I'm basing my story on the famous comic book series Fables. What do you think?
