This is exactly my thought here, to be honest. IF she was truly sorry, then her apology would have been more heartfelt and thought out, other than just "I'm REALLY sorry, LOL nope!.". But you have to consider Twilight pondering whether or not to forgive her for her actions as well. Trixie needs to learn that every crime has a punishment, no matter how sorry you say you are, and not everypony will bail you out of the worst situations. -

Honestly, I'm not so sure about forgiving Trixie. I mean, yes, she did say she was sorry, and yes, she helped Twilight out when she did her show. Still, she tried to ENSLAVE all of ponykind with the amulet. To be completely honest, I'm on the rail about this. On one hoof, she was apologetic to Twilight. On the other hoof, there was that whole "make Snips and Snails pull my chariot without wheels" thing, so I don't know.
