The old or "new" anime?
Old one has like 300 eps lol.
I didn't know there was a difference, so there are two versions of it? I'm gonna guess that the one I was watching was the old one.

Almost done with Dr Slump, it looks like so far a lot got cut out of the 1997 (99?) anime, such as 2nd Gad-Chans and Senbai's child (with superpowers). I only got like 7-10 eps remaining.
I love the manga for Doctor Slump, used to read it online all the time but I'm only just now starting to buy the volumes. Couldn't get into the anime myself.
the pacing felt so much slower so even though they were doing the exact same things as the manga in the episodes I was watching it ended up making the comedy less effective.- 1

I absolutely love The Flying Nun and Gidget. They both star Salley field and they're wonderful, I even went so far as to buy both series on DVD which I've never done before.
There's actually footage from Gidget in the flying nun where sister Bertrille is showing old home movies, so until proved otherwise I've decided that they're the same person and both shows take place in different parts of her life.

Hmm, I guess pokemon, but I don't want that to count. I didn't even know Pokemon wasn't American when I was a kid.
It was a friend who got me into manga, and I was really into that for a good while before I found out about anime streaming services, even then I stuck with dubs. So the first anime I watched after getting into that stuff was either Chobits, Kill Me Baby or Lucky Star. I don't know which. I have a strong feeling it was Chobits though. Loved that anime, I've been through both the manga and the show multiple times and I binge each time I go through.
I know for a fact that the first anime I watched subbed was Angel Beats. I was always making excuses to not watched subs and I preferred to go with dubs or manga if I couldn't stand the voice acting. This was the first one that I wanted to watch enough that I stopped making excuses. Didn't look back after that, though I do remember it taking a few episodes to get used to reading subs, I was fine and crying like a little kid by the end. Damn that ending is sad. -
I don't watch many lets plays these days but when I do it's normally the Yogscast, Sjin being my favorite. But even then it's usually to see what kind of mods they're playing with. Like, most of my favorite mods were introduced to me through their lets plays.

I got Salt. The sailing is pretty fun but other than that I'm not that big on it so far. I might pick it back up one day and see how it goes. Pretty sure it's one of those games that updates.

The other day I found a volume of the first three books in the series at the dollar general and impulse bought it because of the cover art!
I've only read a little bit so far but it seems pretty good. Has anyone of you read it? What do you think? I think these character designs would look great animated in 2D if the right company got their hands on it. I've only seen one of the shorts and while I'll admit that the CG looked better than I expected they don't look nearly as nice as they do on the cover art of the book.

I'd have to go with Anohana. while I was watching it I liked it alright but during the last few episodes it started to feel like it was trying too hard to get feels to the point it felt manipulative.

No matter how much time passes my favorite is always Shy Heart by Ponyphonic. Their music is always so well written and such lovely singing too.

I'd definitely be more excited over a hand-drawn animated film or TV show than I would a CG one. The look is getting so old. At least there's still 2D animation to enjoy. But even then it lacks the sometimes messy fluid motion of the old hand-drawn stuff.

Hell Comes To Frog Town.
That movie. is. freaking. awesome. I don't get why it seems so obscure, it should be remembered as a great 80s classic!
The story is just the right amount of weird, the costumes were awesome, the villains were a little weak but the ride was so fun I don't even care.
I can't even think of that dance of the three snakes scene without having a fit of laughter. The best part about it was the two lead characters, I loved seeing them together and I wish the movie could have gone on for a bit longer so we could see their relationship explored more.
And the main hero is just a big lovable dork, I can't help but have a little bit of a crush on him. He's so funny.
It's too bad the sequels suck big fat globs of horse manure. It's like the writer of this movie took a look at his first movie and instead of patting himself on the back for a job well done as he should have, he thought to himself, "The next should look and sound like it was plunged out of a toilet." I like to think the actors jumped ship when they smelled what was coming, it would certainly explain why they were all replaced. In any case, I won't be watching those ever. so, for now, Hell comes to frog town is still the last movie I've seen. Until I watch Death Before Dishonor tomorrow.

I've been pretty lucky throughout my life, I think the worst thing that's ever happened to me was the time I stepped on a nail and even then I only had a bit of ripped skin and I didn't even have to get stitches.

I guess it would be my jawline. Sometimes I think about getting that jawbone shaving surgery to get a cuter look. I've seen a lot of nice looking before and afters.

Hmm, I'm not sure, Everyone at work seems to like me alright and they seem to think of me as dependable. Especially recently since I keep getting called to cover shifts when I never was before. I didn't even know Judy had my number. She's lucky I answered because I don't normally answer calls from unfamiliar numbers like that. My beautiful three days off were ruined both this week and last week and I rarely get schedules like that. I shoulda knew it was too good to be true. I mean, I could have said no but I also couldn't seem to make myself.

Sure do~! Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Banjo and Kazooie, Tomba. Those games are wonderful.
I even bought the remaster of the Crash Bandicoot... Buuut, it doesn't run all that well on my computer so I ended up sticking with the emulator version of the old ones.
I never did get around to playing the sequels to some of these when I was a kid, I had all the crash games, but I only had the first Spyro game and it wasn't until I started using the N64 emulator that I even found out about Banjo and Tooie.22 hours ago, ~Dusky~ said:I would gladly I'd I could. My GBC emulator isn't working right...
Did you try reinstalling it?

Just finished with Mrs Vampire who lives in my neighborhood. They should have named it Loli Vampire's stalker roommate. lol
It was so fun and I liked how they went old school with how vampirism works instead of getting rid of them for plot convenience.
I don't actually go for a lot of vampire stories, but I get the impression that writers are getting rid of their weaknesses to make them easier to write as main characters. Though I could be wrong. It was a solid 9/10 for me, I would have rated it higher if they'd taken a more serious route with Akari and Sophie's relationship. I really wanted to see her get turned into a vampire so her and Sophie could be together forever. They even bring it up once and Sophie flat out tells her no. Why?? Akari! Be more upset about this, dang it. If you wait too long you're gonna look like her mother, if you turn now while you look close in age your relationship will be easier going forward.
I can't help but feel that Sophie is gonna change her mind about turning her and by that time it'll be too late.
I'm hoping for season two, but anime like this don't get that too often. Thinking of buying the manga. -
The old Doom games, I have them is an all in one kind of launcher, it even has Hexen and strife though I don't play those as often as I do the Doom titles in it. Did you know they made a first-person shooter based on Chex cereal? XD It has it, and it's weird as all heck.
And then I have Brutal Doom for when the rage is epic. lol

5/10 I wish I could understand what they were singing better because the story sounded kinda interesting.

I think it's too soon to be saying whether or not it'll be good or bad.
But I can say that I'll be looking forward to seeing sea ponies! I've been wanting them so bad. There are some wonderful fan fictions that have been hyping me up over seeing them in the show. LIke, The one that got away by Georg. Sweet Celestia! It reads like a classic children's book. The words fill you with the sort of wonder like The wind in the willows. But with original pony characters.
But this isn't about good fan fiction, hehe.
I hope the sea ponies in this movie will add lots of interesting concepts for fic writers to work even more magic within the future. At the end of the day that's all I really care about. LOL

I agree with the above peeps. It seems the most likely.

I was NOT a fan of the first two episodes of this season. The first left such a bad taste in my mouth that it lingered there for the second and third.
It was so bad that I was starting to think that the show wasn't to my tastes anymore and that I would have to start resorting to fan fiction to get my pony fix. Which I do quite often.
Then this episode came riding in like a valiant Knight and took all my fears away.
Great Maud moments. Best Starlight I've personally seen so far. Pinkie was there. Maud X Starlight OTP.
10/10
Thank you for restoring my faith in the pone.

I love RPGs with love interests. I find dating sims kinda boring. But when I find a game that does have a dating system in place but is not the main focus of the game my interest is peaked pretty fast.
I wish marriage in Skyrim had been a little more like Harvest Moon or Stardew Valley. But who knows, maybe there's a mod for it out there. It just feels so sudden to be able to marry a person right off the bat just because you have an amulet of Mara. So sudden it almost feels like I used a cheat instead of a game mechanic and it sucks the immersion right out.
That's why I go on a bunch of quests with the NPC in question before I pop the question, that way I can imagine him and I fell in love gradually.

I freaking hate touch screens! Especially cheap ones where it always seems to think I'm clicking the button right next to the one I actually want.
I had one with a keyboard a good while ago and I loved it. But I don't even have a touch screen phone now.
All I have is the laptop.
