Wow looking at these responses, I feel really old. The first game I remember was Mario/Duck Hunt at my mom's friends house. However, the first game I played and liked was this. I wouldn't be a gamer if not for this title.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who loved the Shining games. They are my favorite games in the genre, followed closely by Valkyria Chronicles. I own all of the Shining games from Shining in the Darkness all the way to Shining Force 3 on the Sega Saturn. Shining the Holy Ark is a huge jump from Shining in the Darkness and the music is amazing! I could gush about the games for a while but I'm sad they no longer get localized, like the brand new Shining Resonance. I'll admit I'm not fond of the post-Camelot Shining games but the new one looks pretty good.

I'm getting it, but I'll have to wait for the Wii U version to drop first, since I currently lack a 3DS.

I've never been good at shooters in general. I much prefer to run up and beat the crap outta my foes then pew pew em to death. It's strange, I can play first person games like the horror game Condemned, or first person RPGs like Shining in the Darkness and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey. But the moment you put a gun in my hands in that view I become a mess. I more or less spray shots around me in a wide angle then trying to hit a single target. I guess the hardest part about FPs's are the fact that the view is too claustrophobic for me. Such a narrow view, with enemies flying across the screen every which way, while I'm trying to figure out what is shooting me out of my line of sight. Before I can get my bearings I'm dead, watching my corpse get run over and teabagged by some guy I didn't see in time. Only to respawn and have the same thing happen again and again. I don't know, just never liked them. In short, no you're not the only one.

Mine is mostly like IncognitoKiwoy. 1. Lifelike Dolls, Animatronics, etc. (Had a horrible incident with them when I was small, that I never really got over.) 2. Deep water (I can't swim so deep bodies of water will kill me. Also goes hand in hand with number 4.) 3. Heights (I'm tall so being high up makes me on edge. Funny because I work with lots of ladders at my job.) 4. Space (Or rather what happens if you're out there without a suit on, or if there's an air leak in the decompression chamber...) 5. People standing behind me (Not a fear as much as it is paranoia.) Dumb: Lifelike Dolls and animatronics, I still don't like them.
