  1. Which is the better version of "The Sound of Silence": Simon & Garfunkel's or Disturbed's?

    Disturbed's:

My brother and I keep having this debate, but I love the original too much... I actually feel something with the original, unlike Disturbed's version, although I appreciate their cover.

Honestly, it depends on what type of music you like better. I like grand orchestral and wide sound way more than smaller feel acoustic. While the original has the credit of being the orginal, I feel something way more with the version by Disturbed. David Draiman is one of the greatest vocalists ever in Metal, and it just goes to show that being a good metal vocalist requires skill and talent.

So I think for originality, the Simon & Garfunkel one is better.

However, if you are talking about pure mastery and musical performance with a better vocalist, then the version by Disturbed is better.

Disturbed did a good job with their cover, but I'll still have to go with the original. It's hard to beat a classic like that. :rarity:

I did hear the original first, which probably plays a part...

I both like them! but I am going to support the original version more for aesthetic reasons. I usually like original versions more often because I feel they have a more innocent touch.

it's like that song from Cardie B ''I like it'' that I don't know how she did to turn pete Rodriguez's classic and sensual cha cha cha cha into something vulgar :mlp_huh: oh well, For things like this I prefer the classics! but in the case of the `` sound of silence '' I think that both versions are good ... one because it is the classic one and it has a sweet tone and the other because it looks innovative. :fluttershy:
