      Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen on a gameboy emulator would probably be the way to go since it's a better remake of the first games. :)

      @Meganium The only handheld consoles I have are GBA and 3DS (keep in mind I don't have lots of money to spend X3)

      @Cipher That's probably what I'll try first. And do you mean an original GameBoy emulator or a GameBoy Advance emulator? (side note: What emulator do you think works best?)

      Gameboy Advance!

      If you're on a windows, Visualboy Advance is the way to go.

      If you're on a mac, you can get OpenEmu which has a gba emulator :)
