If you haven't played BotW yet, I'm going to give you a quick reason why you should:

Man, coding web pages is surprisingly fun lol
At first I was intimidated by how much code goes into building sites, but as I've been learning more you don't really code a lot at once, it just builds up as you decide to add more and more. I've also been messing around with custom color schemes in Sublime Text (my choice of editor), and I made some slight changes to the Monokai theme, what do you think? (Comparison below)

I also want to give kudos to this site: https://www.w3schools.com/
I can't begin to explain how much it's been helping me with this.

Finally finishing up CSS, after this all I need to finish is JavaScript. Coding HTML has been really fun, it's even indirectly helped me with my understanding on Unix. I've created a bash script called "New Project" that opens a text entry box, stores that text response as "$path", and then creates a folder named after $path. Then, it creates a "main.html" file and a "style.css" inside that folder. Lastly, it creates a directory for the JavaScript code ($path/javascript), as well as some directories for resources ($path/resources, $path/resources/images, $path/resources/sounds, $path/resources/videos). This way it's easier to quickly make separate projects.

On a side note, I think I'm finally making some progress on my code practice (mainly Python3 and JavaScript). Python's surprisingly simple (at least for now), and I'm really only learning JS to finish learning all 3 web languages (I've learned HTML & CSS already, just have to do JS).
I really want to get back into game development and actually make something. For the past month I've been drafting up a bunch of ideas for a game, but it's really a matter of working with my current hardware. It's a shame since GMS2 (the program I was looking forward to for basically all of the last quarter of 2016) wants to make itself look really fancy and aesthetic, and while I agree it looks nice, it's murder on my CPU, making it constantly run at 15FPS. And if the damn IDE is lagging, that's saying something.
I thought I could try it on my stronger laptop (slightly stronger, it's still not top-of-the-line gaming equipment or anything), but GMS2 doesn't support Linux for whatever reason (and I know you're going to say to use wine, but I already tried unfortunately). So, I'm hoping Python can help me with that, even though I know Python isn't the best for games. I dread the day I have to turn to Java though. It's powerful, I'll give it that, but I'll be damned if it isn't complicated. For example, this is what a file that printed a single line of text would look like in Python:
And here's what it would look like in Java:
See what I mean? I guess If I really have to, and if it would really help with game dev, I might go back to Java someday.

So I just bought BotW
It's the best
However, I broke my gamepad's screen.
So now I have to get that fixed.
But wait! I spent all of my money on the game.
So now I have to save for the replacement. And it's apparently super difficult to replace.
