Mist touched the water and pulled it out imediatly when he felt the pain. "That's definatly poison death water," Mist said spreading his wings, "no choice but to go over it." Mist flew over the water and landed just outside the deku palace. If anyone knew what was up it was probably the deku king.

Sparkle hopped along the lily pads to get across the poison death water she stopped at an Island to catch her breath where some monkeys told her about a kidnapped princess in the nearby temple of woodfall, Sparkle nodded that they would save the princess and followed Mist until she reached a small jetty 

"Now call me crazy Sparkle but I think the smell might be coming from the swamp," Mist said with a chuckle, "but then again I have been holding a fart I'm since Clocktown." Mist began lagging. Soon he couldn't control his laughter and he found himself on the ground.

Sparkle laughed as well but then reached the side of the swamp. "oh my..." she said looking at the water it was purple and hurt when she touched it, Sparkle reached for the mask he deku face had become and put it on, she stepped into the water and found it didn't hurt her, she called for Mist asking him to check it out

"Ok, it is true that you almost died twice on that adventure but look on the bright side...." Mist stopped for a moment as he tried to think of a bright side, "at least you...uh...didn't die twice." Mist chuckled awkwardly, "besides, you don't have to come with me if you don't want to."

"No I owe it to you... I'll come I guess besides we should really stop that giant moon heading towards the clock tower from killing everypony that lives here..." Sparkle entered the Swamp and spent a good few minutes sniffing the air "AGH! What is that smell!?" She covered her nose

"Come on where's your sense of adventure?" Mist asked Sparkle with a smile, "sure saving Hyrule was tough but it was pretty fun wasn't it." Mist chuckled as he remembered the amazing adventure he had had with Sparkle back in Hyrule. And now he'd get to have a whole new amazing adventure.

"Mist I almost died... twice!" Sparkle raised an eyebrow "and this place has not significance to me! Heck Hyrule didn't... I only joined you because you saved me from that pea hat thing that attacked me... " Sparkle looked back at Mist before walking out of the southern gate

Mist looked at the salesman with determination in his eyes. " Don't worry me and Sparkle will find those ponies, get your mask back and stop the moon from crashing down, " said Mist confidently. He turned to Sparkle, "come on let's get going, we have a world to save."

"But we just finished saving our own world!" Sparkle grumbled stepping out of the clock tower "fiiiiiinnnnnneeeeee... Let's head towards the Swamp first I heard about a kidnapping over there... maybe they can lead us to the first pony..."Sparkle headed towards the southern gate still grumbling and moaning about saving this world

"Destroy everything again you mean..." Sparkle said raising an eyebrow

"I know one thing... to save this land... you must go to the north, the south, east and the west there are ponies there who can help you... but please... I've died once already I do not wish to again..."

Mist smiled happily when he saw that Sparkle had been turned back to a pony. He ran up and hugged her tight. "Oh Sparkle, its so good to see you back to your old beautiful self." He looked at her and then at the mask, "so this mask really can take you back in time."

Sparkle blushed she had never been called beautiful before, "So... we've sealed your end of the bargain now give that which you promised me..." the Mask salesman held out his hoof

"I-I haven't got it..." Sparkle stuttered

"HAVEN'T GOT IT?!" he went ballistic "You Must get that mask back or horrible horrible things could happen, that Mask... is called Majora's Mask... It was once used by an ancient tribe in it's Hexing rituals... the ancient ones fearing such a catastrophe sealed it away..." 

Mist looked around and was more confused then ever. He looked up to see the moon back up where it had been when they had first come here. He turned to Sparkle, "what in Hyrule did you just do?" he asked, "why didn't the moon kill us all? I'm not complaining but what?

Sparkle looked around confused also... the Mask still had one thing to return... her pegasus body," she went back into the clock tower where the Mask salesman looked at her"ah! I see you were able to get back that Item that was stolen from you, now we must make you back into a pony..." he took the mask and changed the small disk around, "now this plays a special song called, the song of healing... play it..." Sparkle did so and after a few seconds many bright lights she re-emerged as herself, the yellow and red pegasus

Mist nodded to the salesman and lept for the mask but the imp dodged. Mist tried again and again and again, each time failing. He looked up at the moons which would kill them soon. There was only time for Mist to do one thing before he died. "Sparkle, since we're probably not gonna make it I wanted to just say. I love you. I always have"

Sparkle didn't hear and began throwing stuff at the Imp he dropped the Mask and seconds before the moon crashed to the ground put it on her face the song of time slowly beginning to play, Sparkle felt herself getting absorbed by the music and the entire land jumped backwards in time 

Mist found Sparkle trying to climb to clock tower but she wasn't getting far. Mist picked her up and flew her up to the top of the tower where the IMO seemed to be waiting for them. Mist put Sparkle down and stared at the imp. It was time to get those masks back. Now or never

"oh you finally arrived... I was getting oh so bored... watching ponies run for their lives only gives a certain amount of pleasure, It's time to renew that feeling... DIE!"The Imp sped up the moon reducing it's crash time from one hour to five minuets Sparkle looked up at Mist begging for him to do something, the moon grew closer and closer, "Mist! there's no time to loose! get the mask of time!" the Mask salesman begged 

Mist almost fell over as the ground shook. He didn't like this, every moment he and Sparkle, as well as the rest of the people here, were getting closer and closer to death. Mist tried to help Sparkle find another way up the tower but he couldnt find a way to get to the imp. "Guess we have to wait,"

Sparkle sensed that the moon didn't like her, she looked up and gestured an 'I'm watching you' to the big rock

Later...

Fireworks... they shot up around the clock tower and it's door opened up, Sparkle was still trying to get the mayor to evacuate the town when the moon began it's final approach, outside there was no one left... they had all ran to seek shelter, Sparkle tried to do the same but the guard told her to evacuate with her parents She kept running and calling out for Mist the moon was almost at the clock tower, she tried to climb it but kept slipping, she needed Mist's help 

"Don't worry," said Mist assuredly to the mask sales pony, "we don't have your mask yet but we're close. We'll have it by the time you leave tomorrow." Mist knew Sparkle was probably worried about all the citizens here but Mist also knew that the two of them couldn't stop an entire moon.

Sparkle looked for a way up early climbing on the clock tower using the flower she had brought with a shiny rock from the eye of the moon, Speaking of the moon's eye Sparkle looked up at the moon which rumbled at her causing the ground to shake and crack

Despite Mist entire body telling him not to, he decided to look up. When he saw the moon he practically crapped himself. If that moon was scary before it was straight up nightmare inducing now. He needed to get out of this town as soon as Sparkle was back to normal.

Sparkle headed back to the clock-tower where the mask salesman had moved to outside, "he he, hello there P-please tell me you have my mask... please..." he seemed nervous but creepy at the same time, Sparkle focused on trying to stop the moon, a lot of innocent lives would be lost if it crashed   

Mist was worried, the moon was getting closer and closer. If they didn't hurry and get those masks back they be crushed along with the rest of where ever they were. Mist stood up, "okay the clock tower won't open up till midnight." he stated, "so what do we do till then?"

Sparkle shrugged, ponies were moving around faster even talking faster "Don't look up, don't look up. Everything will be fine if you just don't look at the... " then they'd normally look up, "MOON! we're all going to die!" then they would normally run out of town hoping to find somewhere safe

"Come on Sparkle, we should get some sleep," Mist said with a yawn. He led her to the grass area near the fairy's fountain and found a nice soft bit of grass. He lay down, "this spot seems good," he said looking at Ember, "I think that we should slerl here tonight"

Sparkle watched as several bugs crawled around, she did not like bugs, she climbed onto Mist's chest and fell asleep,

the next day they were awoken by a loud rumbling, the earth shook for a split second and then stopped, it was morning yes but the morning of their third day and the moon was ready for impact the next day

While he couldn't understand what they were saying it looked to Mist like they were discussing a transaction and when Sparkle showed him the deed he knew he was right. "Now we just got to wait till midnight tommorow and we can kick that imps sorry ass."

Sparkle seemed tired she had been walking for way more than two days and night was now falling thanks to the howling of the wolf at the moon, speaking of the moon it was a lot closer it's red eyes casting a strange, romantic but at the same time ominous glow over everything

Mist followed Sparkle down into the sewers and they went back to the town square. As they looked around for what to do next. Mist was surprised by a deku flying down from the sky. He landed in a strange plant thing, like the one they had used early, and told them to stay off his property.

Sparkle ran over to him and the two had a secret Deku only conversation sort of like those ponies you found in large towns with the little bottles of stuff, he took the moon's tear in exchange for a deed to the land the flower was on, now all they had to do was wait until they could climb the tower and get at the thief hopefully before the moon crashed, until then all they could do was wait and hope the mood wouldn't kill them before they got back to the forest 

Mist soon found the tear however and held it up triumphantly. He examined it and it looked pretty valuable, but he didn't see how it would help them get Sparkle back to normal. "You think the imp would trade the masks for this?" he asked holding it up to Sparkle

Sparkle looked at the tear intrigued and then at the moon, If the tear had come from the big guy then that meant he didn't want to crash into clocktown, maybe the moon could be talked out of his collision course with the planet, Sparkle held up the tear to the moon, he didn't respond but continued his stare and advance towards the ground, he didn't seem to want it back, Sparkle went back inside and ran back into the sewers jumping down the ladder and onto the slabbed floor
