@Totally Nyx I would be lying if I said it wasn't at least in part due to the building anxieties I had about coming back home here. indeed. I always have this growing sensation that by leaving for periods of time, I'm betraying my relationships and the friends I have them with. I can't really put words to it- it's like I'm a disappointment, or I'm afraid my friends will think I don't care about them, and won't want me around once I came back.

honestly I can't pretend to understand exactly why this happens, I guess I just hate the idea of letting those I care about down  but enough of that talk 

I so appreciate your sweet reassurances my dear, they mean quite a bit 

& pssh  a thoughtful reply is everything I ever want dear. It doesn't have to be archaic and long winded like my subsequent correspondence

You're never a disappointment, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with taking some time for yourself. Sometimes some time away from the rest of the world can be a wonderful and peaceful thing.

A thoughtful reply sure, but that doesn't mean it can't also be well-worded or poetic.
