  1. Finally getting things DONE!

  2. I feel like Twilight when she's trying to give a speach about AJ.

  3. Hello all, It's been a while, and I'm still working on putting things together for my videos... and it's moving forward... though it feels as though I'm driving it forward by slamming my head against a bolder repeatedly.... >_<'. ANNNY-WAAAY... I settled on using Adobe Premiere Pro (though I think it may be the wrong program...) for them, and vectors, for characters and such. How ever, I am lost with this program, HELP!
  4. Hello, I hope this is in the right place, it seemed to be the location that made the most since. If it's not, please feel free to move to the correct location, and let me know my mistake. Thanks. I am working on the back-story for my OC/Ponysona and would like a bit of help. For the most part, his background is mine, with a few modifications, as well as a different present day. However, this means that I have to find Equestrian equivalents to a number of real world events and locations. First, and primary, is where he came from, as well as where he currently lives. I am from the Chicago area originaly, and have lived in other locations around the upper Midwest most of my life (in order, Waukegan IL [northern Chicago suburb/city extension], La Cross WI, Iowa City IA, and presently Madison WI [specifically Marshall WI, Madison area]. I'm not sure what the Equestrian counterparts would be to those places. I always considered Ponyville and the area around it to be general Midwest/Upper-Midwest, but would that make Canterlot the counter part to Chicago? That doesn't seem quite right to me. Second, would be higher education establishments in Equestria. I know about "Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns" and that establishment seems to cover at least K-12, plus university level education. But is that the only university-esk location? I know very little has ever been addressed in the show, but I know that the fandom has come up with a few. What are all of them? Where would they be located? Finally, though this kind of ties back in to the first one; What would be a good place for an Inventor/Scientist/Machinist/Smith, Archeologist, and Prof. of Archeology be likely to live. I'm hesitant to say he lives in Ponyville, at least partially because that would put him in the way of the main plot, and I feel like too much is centered there already. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks, Prof. Coppersmith
  5. Thank you, PathfinderCS, I'm still getting the hang of where the correct places to put things are. I'll look in to Pivot, though what I'm looking at doing is more vector animation. I've made my backgrounds in Photoshop, as they are less complex and more or less static. I have NO experience with vectors however, and my animation experience is rather minimal and about ten years out of date. Thank you for the pointers so far.
  6. Hello All, I'm working on an animated video and need recommendations for good, FREE, animation/video editing programs. I'm currently using Windows Movie Maker, which is fine for Let's Plays, but is rather lacking when it comes to animation. I have been told that the best program is Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premier, but I really can't afford those right now. Thanks for any pointers on this, everypony.
  7. Never mind on the backgrounds and and set pieces, doing them in Photoshop, I'm still clueless about vectors....
  8. Here's my OC, uncolored and traced from a "Pony Creator" print out, then modified to be more accurate. He's got a sandy coat, mane and tail are light brown with lighter high-lights, yellow-orange eyes, glasses are brass wire-frames, vest has a maroon front and black back, shirt is white, boots are a brownish red.
  9. Hello, I posted a rather ill-conceived request in the wrong place a few days ago. So I'm trying again here. I would like to get a background image (lecture hall, outside doors w/ program sign on stand next to it), set pieces (podium, rolling chalkboard, table with stuff on it), and OC character sprites (walking, at the podium talking and gesturing, using unicorn magic to move things, etc. Here is the concept work I have put together, I'm a drafting student so... yea.... The main background: Set pieces: I'll post some sketches of my OC for the sprites soon, all I have right now is a rather inaccurate version made in Pony Creator... Any Assistance will be greatly appreciated.
  10. All I have so far is a really, REALLY, rough concept sketch, but what I need is: -A background image of the front of an old fashioned lecture hall, with a short half circle stage out from the wall, a chalk board on the wall, and a door next to the stage by a few steps heading up to the stage. I would also like to get an image of the entrance to said lecture hall with a blank sign next to it for what the episode is about, for a intro screen. -So far as set pieces I need a podium, a rolling chalk board, a small table with books/notes/artifacts on it, a pull-down projector screen for the back wall (one open, one closed), version of the door in the background when it's open, Unicorn telekinetic glow clouds (including several for My OC's horn). -For characters, I need my OC in various walking positions, talking positions, and gesturing. So far as what he looks like; he is a sand colored unicorn, male, two tone brown main and tail (both tied in back), with yellow/gold eyes w/ bags under them, wearing a pair of brass wire frame glasses, as well as a maroon vest w/ pockets, a white button shirt, and dark brown leather field boots on his hind legs/hoofs. I'm waiting on a commission of my OC from Jitterbug, which give a much clearer idea of what he looks like. Sorry, I didn't post any description of what I needed. I wasn’t thinking. I need to scan in my concept sketches, I'll refine them a bit as well, and post them up on here later today. I'm in school for Drafting and Design, which is why I said that most of my art looks like a logo or schematic, and they have since well before I started collage. Here's the rough consept work I've done so far:
  11. I'll be sure to post it once its ready, long way to go yet. Still need backround and set pieces, on to p of finishing the reaserch. Thanks for the support!
  12. Hello Everypony, I am currently working on research for the first of a sires of videos looking at the historical and technological references in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. To that end, I am looking for help making a background as well as set pieces and character models for these videos. I can do most if not all of the final animation, but my skills with making the base images is rather lacking as everything I draw ends up looking like a logo or schismatic. Any help here would be greatly appreciated, Thank you.
  13. Good day, Everypony. I am Prof. Emrys Coppersmith (Thorn IRL, and not a real professor IRL, sadly) I only joined the fandom in time for season 4, but fell in love and watched from the beginning. (In fact, I'm slowly working my way back though the show, taking notes, for a video series I'm starting soon on Youtube....) Favorite pony(s) would be Pinky Pie, because she reminds me of my favorite aunt some times, and I have had a number of friends like her in the past, and they helped me smile again when I thought I had nothing left to smile about, and I'm still here because of them. A.J. is a close second, though namely for the whole Apple family, surprisingly similar in a number of ways to my own. As far as background ponies, it would have to go to Doctor Whooves and Derpy/Ditzy, I was a Whovian long before I was a brony. Beyond that, I am a life-style Steampunk (at least as much as finances and jobs allow), steampunk "maker", gamer, reader, starting Youtuber ("Let's Plays" and soon MLP videos)... I could go one for a while, but I'll stop there. Fare warning, I have a tendency to ramble at times, getting in to rather ling winded explanations and the like. I apologize in advance for any time I do this and it gets on anyone's nerves.
