    I actually loved Applejack's insistence on tradition in the episode. Reminds me why I relate to her so much.

      @Pathfinder, what bothered me the most about that is Rainbow already had won that award as a filly. With the other two, there is a bit more conviction. Apple wants to uphold family tradition and Rarity didn't win 1st in her category. Rainbow was being far too pushy. I mean, they all were but...eh.
