  1. Hey, friends. It's me, FirstPonySpectre and I'm a pretty avid writer and I had an idea. I decided to write a story in fifty words. No more, no less. So, without further ado, this is it....

An invisible wall surrounds him. Forcefully constructed by society to shun him from their lives. He sits alone on a park bench made for two. Other kids play, ignoring him. This was everyday, but today a girl sat beside him. She did not speak, but she smiled. He smiled back.

I dunno. I just figured I'd share it with ya'll. Haha. It's not really all that great but I thought it worked considering I only had 50 words to work with.

Anywhoozles, feedback is always nice and perhaps if you're down you could write your own 50 word story and post it to this thread too! :D

My favorite quote of his would probably be.. hmm...

"He shot up in the air like a Leprechaun on viagra."

Anyway I'm done writing this. Don't forget to brohoof the comment, reply to the comment, and follow if you want to see posts similar to this one. Cya.

  3. TL;DR - I don't really care bout a lot of stuff so I don't get stressed.

I've always been surprisingly good at keeping my cool even in the most stressful of situations. I'm always really relaxed when I shouldn't be. I think it just kinda comes down to my typical outlook on most things.

I really just don't care much...

I mean, there are things I care about, like my friends and family and my future... but more importantly video games... jkjk

But I mean, I don't really want to spend my life worrying about every little thing. Ya know? So I just don't care about a lot of things. I guess that's why I don't get so stressed out about things.

  4. Brace yourself... long drawn out review inc...

TL:DR - Path of Exile is the best MMO out there right now. Play it.

Path of Exile is one of the best F2P MMO games of all time. Despite it's rather short campaign and lack of side quests the game still manages to be one of the most expansive experiences with near endless replay value thanks to it's fantastic perk tree and skill gem system.

So let's just start off with the negatives to get them out of the way. The game is under whelmingly short, but this doesn't really matter in the scheme of things as I'll explain later. But all I'm going to say is that the game could have more content in it. More side quests, more maps, whatever. There are also a few bugs that still need to be fixed but hopefully Grinding Gear Games will fix them in patches to come.

Now for the good, and trust me when I say there is a lot of good in this game.

First off, the game is like Diable... except on STEROIDS! There is so much loot in Path of Exile and you'll find yourself fighting insane amounts of enemies at a time. I once was fighting what seemed to be 100+ mobs at once (and the game still maintained a great frame rate.). So it's pretty awesome in that sense.

it's 100% free. And best of all, it's not free to win. It took a page from League of Legends and made everything you buy with real life money are mainly things that effect how your character looks or what your spells look like. None of the things you buy will effect how strong your character is. This means you won't feel pressured to have to buy things so you can keep up with the veteran players.

Now for the actual game. The gameplay is stunning. It's simple but with depth. The game functions much differently than other RPGs because every class can use every skill so long as they have the stats. And thanks to the HOLY *#@^ HUGE PERK TREE it allows for endless builds for your characters. You can make a ranger who uses a two handed mace and it'll be just as viable as a ranger who uses a bow, sometimes it could be even more viable. The skill tree can however look quite daunting at first but trust me when I say that you'll want to level up just to put a point into it so you can get a Keystone perk (which are basically super perks I guess. They do cool things and stuff.). And trust me when I say that you'll feel so good when you get one.

Now the skill gems are probably the smartest thing this game has. Basically your weapons and armor have gem slots. Depending on the level you are, your equipment could have one slot to six (Also depends on which equipment it is. Such as the chestpieces can have 6 max and the gloves can only have four max.) You put skill gems into slots of the corresponding color and then you can use them, given you have the weapon that is required (If a weapon is required). Simple, right? Well yes. It is very simple. But it still has depth because there are gems that are support gems which when placed in a slot linking to another slot with a skill gem they directly effect said skill gem. For example, if you were using an ability called Spectral Throw, which when used throws out a ghosty version of your weapon to hurt things, and you attached a multiple projectiles support gem to it, it's fire three weapons out instead of just one. This makes finding gems so satisfying and rewarding.

To finish up this quick review in a few sentences. The enemy designs are cool, everything is fully voice acted so -slow clap- to the devs for that. There is a story, though I didn't really care. There are a lot of unique items and stuff. There always seems to be these cool events going on. It's great fun to play with friends. The maps are randomly generated so each time you play through one it feels a bit more unique and not as repetitive. It's fun to hit things. The game always has new things being added which again, -slow clap- to the devs for the dedication. Maps are instanced so you don't have to worry about some random player stealing your loot.

Basically, the game is great. It's unique, fresh, and you can sink hundreds of hours into it. I know I did and still will. So overall, I'd rate the game a 9/10. Taking points off simply because of the shortness of it.

Needless to say. Download the game.

    I'm done now... >_>

  5. Personally, I'd say no. TES Online was a disappointment to say the least. It was Elder Scrolls based, sure but that doesn't change that fact it wasn't very good.

I would explain why but Angry Joe already did a very thorough review of the game. So I'd recommend you look up his review.

But to sum of my opinion. There are much better MMO's out there like Guild Wars 2, or Path of Exile (Which is one of my favorite MMO's ever.). So I'd recommend you get those instead. ^_^

Also, a much BETTER game you should spend that $20 on is Crypt of the Necrodancer. It's a really great game with a really innovative mix of genres. It's a dungeon crawler / rhythm game. I know it sounds weird but trust me when I say it's one of the best games on Steam right now and many people would agree. And it's still in early access so the devs are gonna add more. But now I'm just ranting. Sorry...

  6. I rented Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix for the Wii today. I like the Harry Potter series even though I've never played the video games before (except the Lego ones :derp:).

I have to say, this game is boring. Half of it is just running around the insanely huge school, and the other half is casting spells with the Wii motion controls, which always make me feel like I'm getting arthritis in my wrists :okiedokielokie:.

Welcome to the WONDERFUL world of Movie Licensed Games...

Pro-tip, don't waste your money on the other Harry Potter games. I've played 'em. They're all pretty bad. Especially the Deathly Hallows ones. I could go into more depth but these games aren't worth it. Just steer clear. ^_^

That's just my advise though. Haha >_>

  7. I'd write you a welcoming message, but I'm in the middle of some calibrations.

I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite use of this meme on the internet.

(Too tired to think of something more.. cleaver... so you'll have to settle for cheesyness. Sorry. T_T)

  8. My Favourite Mane 6 Pony: Fluttershy

How did you find MLP Forums?: I got bored and wanted to become part of a forum. So I googled an MLP forum and got this. ^_^

How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I got curious and watched the first episode. At first I dismissed it as a girly kids show but then for some reason watched more and realized it was pretty awesome actually.

Hello! I'm FirstPonySpectre and I'm a fan of the show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, but that's probably a given seeing as I've signed up to an MLP forum. Haha.

Anyway, I'll keep it short. My interests pretty much revolve around video games, movies, and TV shows. Aside from that I do a lot of creative writing on the side as well as write reviews for stuff and things.

So uh... yeah! I don't really have anything else to add other than that I'm a huge fanboy of the Walking Dead and Mass Effect. Haha. ^_^

I'll see you guys on the forums then. <3
