  1. https://www.fimfiction.net/story/939/nightmares-dont-last-forever Just a heads up for anyone who stopped checking. The new chapter is great.
  2. How on earth are people coming up with these suggestions, anyway? I mean, why would you look at Fruits Basket, Full Moon O Sagashite, and Prétear and think, oh, I bet this girl will like Tenkai Knights?
  3. Um... Did you pay any attention to the animes that I said make me feel better? They're beautiful, not epic. Tenkai Knights doesn't sound like something that would be effective, and I hate Fairy Tail. That might work, and it is on Hulu... I'll try it once I'm done with Prétear. Sounds like being funny is the whole point of that anime, which isn't really what I'm looking for... I know the three animes that I said help me are all comedies, but there's a lot more to them than that. I don't like Naruto. Maybe I should just do my own research, because it doesn't seem like anyone understands what I'm looking for.
  4. When I was 14 and my depression was at its worst, there were two animes I watched that made me feel better: Fruits Basket, and Full Moon O Sagashite. Now things are getting pretty bad again. I just watched Fruits Basket and Full Moon O Sagashite isn't on Hulu anymore (nor is it on Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Crunchyroll), so I'm watching Prétear, which is having the same effect. But it only has 13 episodes. Based on the animes that I know make me feel better, does anyone have any recommendations for animes that may also make me feel better? Don't just tell me to get help or try to explain how to change negative thoughts or something. This is called a COPING METHOD. Mental health professionals say to use them.
  5. That's not how it works... Not being able to win the game is a rule that everyone agrees on...
  6. No... That's not right. http://losethegame.com
  7. I don't think anyone knows for sure. Here's the Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Game_(mind_game) That article doesn't say anything about the pope's hat, but other sources state that the game ends if somebody steals or knocks off the pope's hat. Losing the game actually really annoys a lot of people. Some people even insisted that they weren't playing. But the game is over now.
  8. You don't know about the game? Okay, there was something called the game. Every time you thought about the game, you lost. You couldn't win the game. You could only lose. And you had to announce your loss. Consent wasn't required to play. But there were two ways for the game to end: Either the British prime minister had to announce on public television that "the game was up," or somebody had to steal the pope's hat. And a little girl stole the pope's hat, so it's over now. Actually, it's been over since March.
  9. A LITTLE GIRL STOLE THE POPE'S HAT! WE'RE ALL FREE!!! http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/pope-francis-girl-steals-hat-godfather-zucchetto-video-watch-a7643291.html
  10. Actually, Shadow Play contradicted a previous episode. In Twilight's Kingdom, Celestia said that Scorpan befriended a young unicorn wizard. While she didn't say it was Star Swirl, we saw that it was. When Tirek refused to abandon their plans to steal magic, Scorpan told Celestia and Luna and they handled it. But according to Shadow Play, Celestia and Luna were too young to even understand how dangerous the Pony of Shadows was when Star Swirl and the other Pillars imprisoned themselves and the Pony of Shadows in limbo.
  11. It's sad... United Bronies of Tucson (the brony group in my area) is just starting to become active again, and we only have one season left. Or at least I heard that season 8 will definitely be the last season...
  12. If my fan fiction wasn't terrible, there's no doubt that I would go ahead and finish it. But I want to know if it's even worth it. Before, it was terrible, but at least it matched my headcanon, which meant it was worth improving and finishing. Now it's terrible AND no longer matches my headcanon because my headcanon was totally disproven (except for Luna being possessed). Has anyone actually read the abomination that I attached to the first post? I guess anyone who decided to actually read it is probably still reading it...
  13. "We never met the other Pillars, and we were too young to understand the danger they faced."
  14. I was writing a fan fiction about the events that led up to Luna turning into Nightmare Moon. The events of the story happened over the course of a few years, from the end of The Journal of the Two Sisters to briefly after Luna was banished. But The Journal of the Two Sisters isn't canon after all because of the season 7 finale. The contradictions are just too big. I wanted the fan fiction to be about my actual headcanon, but now that isn't my headcanon anymore because it contradicts the show. I really liked my ideas. But Celestia and Luna were both acting so out of character that my friend who I showed it to couldn't even read it. I was gonna possibly try to fix it, but now that it has to take place in an alternate universe, I'm just not sure it's worth it. Is it worth it? I'll attach the fan fiction. I have it all planned out in my head, but as far as what's actually written down, it stops when they return home from failing to really defeat King Sombra and they see what Discord did to Equestria while they were away. Currently unnamed MLP fanfic.docx Sorry about the name of the file. I intended to come up with a name AFTER finishing it.
  15. If you'll scroll up, you'll see that I'm the one who started this thread. I do want to believe that The Journal of the Two Sisters is canon, but the fact of the matter is that it's not and nothing can change that now, thanks to Josh Haber.
  16. We're talking about information from journals here. Journals written when these things happened.
  17. The contradiction is too big. This isn't something we can just call a continuity error. The Journal of the Two Sisters just isn't canon.
  18. That still contradicts The Journal of the Two Sisters. The Tree of Harmony had already grown when that book began, and Star Swirl was still there at the end of the book. And the events of the book took at least several months.
  19. But my fan fiction... I actually really liked my explanation for the events that lead up to Princess Luna becoming Nightmare Moon... But now it doesn't work at all. There's no way to salvage it because my fan fiction happened over just a few years, but now according to the show, it must have been decades between when Celestia and Luna got their cutie marks and when Luna turned into Nightmare Moon. I promised my friend Jacob that I would finish it, too... But he's not talking to me anyway and I have no idea why, so I guess it doesn't matter because he would never read it.
  20. They planted it before the events of The Journal of the Two Sisters.
  21. Did you miss the explanation I came up with for the thing with the Tree of Harmony?
