Now he was playing with her. Drat she had to look at him now. Her whole face flushed yet again and nodded "Th-there should be t-two more on that shelf" She let out a squeak. Why did Celestia send him to be her escort if he was so cute. With that she turned to walk to the other side of the room.

Novel let out a sigh "I keep these books on the very top shelves for a reason. There are a few more books that are bound in leather with pink gems on the spines. I need those to start." Surprisingly her voice was level, maybe because she was looking away from the stallion.

Novel felt uncomfortable. He looked like something out of her fairy tales she's read. It put her in an odd spot and she didn't know what to do about her feelings. Hopefully he doesn't go to battle, that way she won't need to deal with emotions on the battlefield. She kept eyeing a few books that she needed to obtain but now felt really shy about asking.

Novels face flushed a deep deep red and she hurriedly looked away "th-thank you Seth I n-needed that" she avoided looking at him directly and was very flustered. "I um appreciate your help" she turns away from him and wants to hide from her feelings and awkwardness of herself

"Ah-ha!" She cries out in delight as a pile of books came crashing down "Seth can you help me with something?" She says with a slight groan, stretching to reach something. The book was right there. So close but drats it was just out of her hooves. She needed that book and badly

Novel began scurrying about looking for book after book. Nowhere to be found. Books were flying across the floors and her frantic hooves were dashing about, desperate to find her herb books and some of the books on the empire. She couldn't remember where she last had them

Novel glanced at him with curiosity, trying to figure out how to take that comment. She nervously opens the door and there were books EVERYWHERE. In piles and on shelves, on the tables and floors. She dashed inside, making a break for her room so she would have as much time to gather her books as she could.

She stopped and looked at Seth "Well there will be no dying on my watch sir. But fame and glory aren't reasons to fight. Now honoring your mother, that is a noble cause" She allows a small smile "That is something to be remembered for." Novel looked ahead, "Well there is my little library. Um it's a disaster so don't worry if things fall over"

Novel kept her eyes on the road, unsure about eye contact customs "well I'm a um healer so I can protect everypony. And uh well I'm from the empire and left my books behind due to my knowledge being a threat to Sombra. So I fled here with my books and knowledge of the city." She would glance at the colt "what brings you to the royal guard?"

Novel flushes a bit at the stallion before her "uh hi I'm novel. I need to um gather some books from my home. Seth just uh make sure I don't spend forever with my books" she avoids looking at him, not used to the opposite sex near her. She usually keeps to herself. She packs up her things and goes to head home, eagerly awaiting the chance to scavenge for what she needs

Novel jumps "um yes ma'am uh who's going with. I need someone to make sure I'm not going to be distracted" she snaps her notebook shut, startled still. She look up embarassed at the princess and tried to hide it. She had her doubts about her abilities and maybe this isn't the right thing for her to do

((My god I go to bed and it explodes sorry bout that)) Novel nods. She would like to learn about the castle before they go in, but won't argue with the princesses. Novel stays silent and sits in thought, frantically writing down what she can remember from her reading. She is unsure if she has any at her home but she knows she has them in the empire

"I can go ahead and see my brother awhile. That way he will know all of us are coming and could help us all get into the city in advance. If I get there early enough I can get a head start on research as well. The more we know the better we can fight. And if we decide on rallying a rebellion, I can start gathering ponies with my brother's help. How does that sound?" Novel looked at the others, hopeful that this would work. She knew her brother could help and wants to protect the lives of her team.

"But then won't the residents be without food? You can't starve my neighbors, they barely have enough as is. We could use illusions to make a diversion of sorts on the other side of town, that way most or all of the guards will be out of our way" Novel paused, "we could use magic to get into town through illusion as well. This way we will appear to be normal crystal ponies but will really have our armor and such on, if such is possible Princess Celestia?"

Novels ears pin back "I'm not sure myself it depends on what I can find. Remember some books might be destroyed since I've last left. I know I have a hidden collection myself that is fairly recent. I've been in there before Sombra's rein for research. I'd be able to tell you more once I'm there to see what has changed from the outside. I left as soon as I found out about his takeover, since my knowledge is a threat to him. My brother might know a bit more now, if he can remember" novel got quiet, this is the first time she's spoken about her leave and what she actually knows. Being a bookworm comes in handy at times and she has been in the castle "b-but it's been some time so my knowledge might be irreverent or useless. But maybe my books can be of help. Especially if the hidden passages are still there"

Novel nods in understanding "it would be my honor" she remembered reading about the castle from home "well I grew up in the empire so I know some safe houses and places we can seek refuge. I own one of the libraries there that my brother is watching over in my absence. I know there are some books from the castle library in the back and some are very old and may have vital information on the structure of the building"

Novel follows Luna in silence, planning what she would need to gather and where it is in her home. She was anxious about the war room but looked at it as a way to study the other ponies. The sound of the war room made her nervous since she is without her comforts and accessible spells that are at her home

Novel trots over, silently. War room? Interesting. How will this be different? Well this gives Novel some experience with the other ponies before they actually canter into battle. Novel decides to keep quiet, feeling as though what she knows isn't very important or will be heard

Novel looks at the new recruits with interest. Two new ponies to learn about, luckily for them they missed the argument and part of training. Once they start training she will observe from a distance, learning how to protect them and help them if needed.

Novel kept shield after shield to protect everypony. She also wrapped many dummies in vines to immobilize them for a moment before somepony else killed them. She tries not to use fire magic when in battle since it can get out of control. Ice magic she will use too when things get sticky, but she prefers the vines and the thorny ones are her favorite. Her draconic eyes can see almost everything, constantly scanning the battlefield for danger. Novel has great power but does not want to show all of it at once

Novel sighed and stared at the others. She managed to conjure 30 second shields around everypony (except herself) and summoned thorny vines to wrap and rip her opponent. Once the shield would drop she would heal everypony to the best of her powers, not straining herself one bit. Nopony noticed the spell book that hovered next to her, her crystal blue eyes now turning draconic in nature. The book had a moon on it and stars that danced around the cover.

Novel gulps. Well there's not much for her to train for, since it's all distance for her. But she should learn the other's styles too so she can form protective magic around them. She summons her staff (it amplifies her magic) and walks to the training grounds.

Novel nods "um I think it would be best for me to stay here. I lose track of time on my own. Is that alright Celestia?" She looks at the princess and tries to keep good posture. Novel knows that if she goes home she will be alone and read forever. But she needed to get some things from home, but is too afraid to go alone. She does not want to be late again.

Novel smiles at Chronos and nods "thank you" she sees Steel and notes his shift back to normal. Novel nods when asked if she sensed it and looks in surprise at the pony. A curse? Fascinating! She will desire to learn more about this but pushes it to the side. It will have to wait till we are not busy or when the war is over.

Novel glanced at Chronos and nods "Y-yeah this is new to me is all" She didn't move an inch. Novel still is unsure as to who she could trust and had to be ready if things get ugly. Her magic could separate the fight if it was really needed, and it won't be easy to do. But she has to be ready just in case.
