      It just depends on the community. I've seen this with Smash Brothers repeatedly, but there are those who play for the fun of it still.

      I don't deny that. But the fighting games community has really become this elitist group, which i thought you can only find with fans of FPS's COD especially. Street Fighter V came out recently and it really shows.
