      They are and i played them all. Birth by sleep is my favorite game out of all the spinoffs, as it takes place 10 years before the events of the first kingdom hearts.

      The only one that was totally pointless was Re:coded on the DS.

      I still need to finish Birth By Sleep (Only did Ventus's story so far...) and play Dream Drop Distance before I'm fully caught up. 

      That or just watch all the cutscenes online. That works too...
