Stardust Balance

A night for opera. First-class balcony view, a lovely sonnet taking place, two ponies sitting together in comfortable silence enjoying their company. Nothing could possibly disrupt the romantic atmosphere...

Stardust: "...Do you ever hear, of the tragedy, of Darth Plagueis the Wise?"

Twilight: "...Excuse me?"

Stardust: "I thought not. It's not a story Celestia would tell you. It's a Sith Legend."

Twilight: "What are you... What?"

Stardust: "Darth Plagueis, was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise; he could use the Force to influence the magichlorians, to create... Life."

Twilight: "..." *Annoyed stare.*

Stardust: "He had such a knowledge of the Dark Side, he could even keep the friends he cared about... From dying."

Twilight: "Jack."

Stardust: "The Dark Side of magic is a pathway to many abilities, some consider to be unnatural."

Twilight: "You're intentionally ruining the moment."

Stardust: "He became so powerful, that the only thing he was afraid was losing his power. Which, eventually, of course he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew..."

Twilight: "Then his apprentice killed him in his sleep?"

Stardust: "It's ironic... He could save others from death... But not himself."

Twilight: "Right, would it be possible for you to stop making references in favour of appreciating the art of opera with your special somepony?"

Stardust: "...Not for a pony- Heheheheheheheheheheh...!"

Twilight: "..."

Stardust: "Hehe, hehe, heheheheh... Couldn't resist."

Twilight: "Of course you couldn't." *Rolls eyes and keeps watching play below, smiling regardless.*
