The world-building in this new episode was probably the only part I enjoyed. Honestly I'm so use to Pinkie's behaviour I don't react with a chuckle at her lines or actions, though the window was faintly humourous.

Pinkie wasn't the problem here. The problem was the part where they were saving Dash.
First they were standing in the middle of the street. Anybody could see them capturing a pony. If I would see that and I reconize the pony who said Daring Do was evil I would guestion his arguments.
There are more things like this, but because it would take forever to write I just leave it to you to figure it out.

Aside from the Harry Potter series? My personal favourite novel is Darth Plagueis, a Star Wars novel. Masterfully written in story, character, detail and setting. -

Jesus Christ was an atrocious piece of writing! Awfully contrived and easily solvable with the simplest bit of logic. I had a headache by the character motivation and actions. Definitely a downgrade from yesterday's.

It sucks.
...That's it. It just sucks. Hated it. Another mess that could easily been resolved with the simplest common sense. Christ was a train wreck.

The thought and mental process of maturity between dragons and ponies might be different. We can only speculate. I just don't think Spike need necessarily mature as much as the others because the dragon aging process could work differently.

Again, unlike the mares, Spike's a kid with a child's mind. Evidently he's not gonna mentally develop as much like the others.

...Aging and mental process may vary on different species. Also 24? After Equestria Girls? Kinda of a- Oh Christ I'm using Equestria Girls to argue my point?!

Spike's a unique case, development wise. His episodes are reserved mostly around making difficult decisions or acting out of childish reactions. We don't really see that much change in him because... Well I don't think we simply need to. He's still only a kid, acting just like one.

Yeah Trixie's inclusion was probably the least entertaining part of the episode.

I... What? I'm just pointing to episodes where Spike had significant character development outside of season one. Also, something to humourously point out, all the reformed Changelings sound like they have cold's.
