  1. Oliver swallowed, not entirely sure if he wanted to see what kind of destruction Jenna could cause if she was angry. It would have been cool to see, but it also sounded just as scary. "I'll stay on your good side then," he joked.
  2. Jade didn't have the strength to stop Draco from hoisting her onto his back. She wanted to squirm off and argue that she didn't want help, but she simply didn't have the strength. So she simply fought the urge to rudely slump against his shoulder. "Thank you," she could only mutter.
  3. "Protected?" Jade could barely murmur, so exhausted that just talking was using up the last of her strength. "Then...?" Master Tricis... is alive? Her hoof felt like like a ton-heavy weight as she lifted it and her muscles screamed as she took the vial. She began slowly limping toward the medical area, stumbling and almost collapsing on the way.
  4. Oliver watched as the city became more visible from the field as he listened to Jenna talk. "So dragons are able to tell types of metal apart? Like if a bit of gold is real or fake or something like that?"
  5. Oliver sat down on the bench beside Jenna, smiling at her. "You seem to control them pretty well though. I never thought music would make such an impact like that, but the way you do it is really cool."
  6. "I wouldn't bother trying to think too much into it," Oliver said, shrugging. "Humans are weird like that. Some things are more valuable than others, but I can't explain most of them." He smiled at her. "Though, I'd imagine a dragon has a good eye for value."
  7. "Wow, that was pretty awesome," Oliver said, grinning and walking over to Jenna. "I can see that being really useful. Like maybe in a fight or something." He saw she was out of breath and was ready to help her if she needed it.
  8. Oliver watched as the piller moved around while Jenna sat listening to music. He noticed how the movements got more intense and aggressive as the music got louder and faster. His eyes were wide with wonder.
  9. "Well, who doesn't like shiny things?" Oliver half-joked, smiling at Jenna. "But yeah, it shouldn't matter who made it. If you like it then take it. It can't be worth spending a fortune just on fancy stuff."
  10. "I think it sounds cool," Oliver said, grinning at Jenna. "If you wanna show me, I'd love to see it. I've never seen powers that react that much to music before." He was clearly eager to see what she meant.
  11. "Yeah, I dunno why," Oliver said, shrugging. "I don't see what the big deal is. Just wear something comfy instead of trying to look trendy or whatever you're trying to do. It can't be that worth looking rich."
  12. "I never bought into brand culture, really," Oliver said with a shrug. "I just buy what fits, what's comfy and what's cheap. I just wanna be comfortable walking around, I don't care whose name is on the label."
  13. "You seem to have a lot of control already," Oliver pointed out, trying to make Jenna feel better. Though he was curious about how her powers were affected by music. "Really? What kind of music does what? Can I see?"
  14. Oliver tilted his head, surprised to hear Jenna's parents didn't have powers, or at least not the same ones as hers. He always figured they were hereditary. "They were?" he asked. "How bad were they?"
  15. "Yeah, that's pretty weird," Oliver agreed, following Jenna through the trees. "I kinda get ripped jeans and all, but everything else just looks kinda excessive. Why buy expensive clothes if you're just going to tear them up?"
  16. "That's pretty rough," Oliver said, and realised what Jenna said. "Wait, your parents don't know about your powers?" he asked, looking rather surprised. "Don't they have their own? I thought you would've inherited them or something."
  17. "Now that I really don't know," Oliver admitted, looking at Jenna's pants. "It must be some weird style choice or something. Doesn't make any sense to me either." He looked around. "Which way should we go from here?"
  18. "Clohing is just the norm by now, I guess," Oliver said, looking down at himself. "Some people just feel more comfortable being covered up. Plus, we're not built to handle the cold as well as a fire-breathing dragon is." he joked.
  19. "Yeah, I guess that makes sense," Oliver agreed, shrugging. "I just dunno how it would be like to live away from my parents like that. We've always stuck close together, especially before we moved here.
  20. Jade almost collapsed when the call was made, but she noticed Rail approaching her. Whatever he was going to say, apparently it was too important to wait. So she fought to keep herself standing. Her legs were shaking and her head felt a ton heavier, but she kept eye contact. As well as she could while her vision blurred in and out, at least.
  21. Oliver frowned as he listened to Jenna talk about her parents. He was surprised to learn that they didn't talk much aside from the occasional phone call. "So you're not all that close with them?" he asked. "I mean, if you don't talk all that often."
  22. "I guess you're trying to learn all you can about how being a human feels like," Oliver suggested, shrugging. "I can help you with that if you want. I'm not exactly an expert, but I was born a human so maybe I can help you learn a few things?"
  23. "Maybe it's because it's so cramped with all the trees around here," Oliver suggested. "I'm sure it'd get pretty uncomfortable for a big dragon. Or maybe you're getting used to your human form by now?"
  24. "I hope so," Oliver said, "I'd be worried too if they were going somewhere whil this was going on." He looked at Jenna quizzically. "Speaking of which, you've never mentioned your parents. What're they like?"
