  1. Oliver nodded. "Yeah, you could definitely take that teacher on some day soon." He smiled at Jenna and finished another slice. He blinked and tilted his head at her next comment. "You think so? How come?"
  2. "I wouldn't have noticed," said Oliver, smiling at Jenna. "You looked really strong to me, with how you fought in the dojo." (Oh, I meant he didn't want to offend her by implying she looked weak)
  3. "Yeah, though I'm sure you can tell them apart," Oliver pointed out, smiling at Jenna. "I think you have some good instincts for telling who to trust or not." He looked ahead. "You're far more in tune with dragons after all."
  4. "You're still pretty strong," Oliver insisted, smiling widely at Jenna. "Especially at the dojo, and from training earlier." He looked around her. "You don't have that much muscle either," he said innocently.
  5. "So if there was another dragon nearby," Oliver guessed, "then you'd be able to tell. That might be useful if we're looking for allies out here." He smiled at Jenna. "It'll help knowing we're not alone."
  6. Oliver nodded slowly and kept eating. "So you outskilled him then? That's still awesome." He smiled at Jenna. "I bet you're still stronger than him anyway. You're really tough, especially from today."
  7. Oliver nodded. "Yeah, it's a lot easier to tell them apart because of that, I'm sure." He shrugged. "Well, I suppose not for normal people, but I'm guessing dragons have heightened senses for that kinda thing."
  8. Oliver nodded slowly. "Well it's good that you're starting to open up about your feelings." He smiled at Jenna. "Like I said, maybe learning how to be human won't be as hard as you thought at first."
  9. Oliver tilted his head, finding something Jenna said rather interesting. "So you mean he's tougher than he looked when you deal with him?" He blinked. "Or is he just like that no matter what he does?"
  10. Oliver smiled at Jenna. "I'd love to try. I dunno why, but I think some of it is already coming out, if you're starting to miss people you used to hang out with." He looked ahead at the road. "It might not take as long as you think."
  11. Oliver blinked, surprised at hearing that Jenna barely hit the guy. Was he really that weak, or just that overconfident? "Wow, if that's all it took to deal with him, he mustn't be that impressive in general."
  12. "Well, hopefully we can get that out of you somehow," Oliver said, and put a hand on Jenna's shoulder. "You don't have to hide anything from me, just be totally honest and real about yourself." He grinned. "Except maybe growing wings and breathing fire."
  13. Oliver nodded, finishing another slice and taking another. He grinned at the thought of a big guy like that taking on Jenna and losing. "But you totally beat him," he said, not hiding his excitement.
  14. Oliver nodded. "That's normal. You spend enough time with someone, you start to get attached to them." Though something she said made him curious. "A different Jenna? I hope this is the real one then."
  15. Oliver grinned and ate more of his half. "That's good. Glad people are smart enough to get the hint the first time." He wondered what this guy looked like. He hoped he wasn't too much bigger than him.
  16. "Wow," Oliver muttered, eyes widened with wonder as he ate another slice. "That's so awesome!" He pictured this guy being much bigger than her, yet she dealt with him so easily. "I bet no one's tried that with you since, huh?"
  17. Oliver looked at Jenna, a little surprised at her question. He didn't think she'd be worried about something like that. "I'm sure at least some of them do," he said. "You're pretty likeable, after all."
  18. "Well it looks like it worked," Oliver pointed out, "for the most part, at least. No one seems to be following us now." He checked his mirrors, just in case he was wrong, but so far all seemed quiet.
  19. Oliver perked up, guessing at what Jenna was implying. "Ooh, you've already beaten him before?" He grinned and leaned forward. If he could, his tail would be wagging with excitement. "What happened? How'd you do it?"
  20. Jade clenched her legs, trapping Draco's hoof between them, and performed a backflip to throw him into the air and toward the ground. "Yes, I suggest you do that."
  21. "I will," said Oliver, unable to stop himself from smiling. He liked the thought of Jenna standing up to someone, even an ex. He knew it was in her character, but it was still good to think about. "I'd like to see him try taking you on."
  22. "I guess, since you had others to do it for you," Oliver guessed, shrugging as he drove. "I guess we'll have to figure out this next one together then." He smiled at Jenna. "But I won't abandon you there or anything."
  23. With her own speed, Jade crossed her hooves to block Draco's kick, and just as swiftly returned to a flurry of calculated swings. "It is not my destiny," she said, "but I will not let Tricis leave this world with only regrets."
  24. Oliver frowned. He hadn't thought about a confrontation with Jenna's ex, and he'd much rather avoid one. "Alright, I'll keep away from him," he said with a nod, "but I hope he isn't looking for a fight or something."
  25. Oliver nodded and kept on driving. "Just relax your leg, I'll get us there." He looked around as he drove. It was much easier in the daylight, which he was thankful for. "How many times have you had to do this?"
