  2. "Of my friend, I can only say this: of all the souls I have encountered in my travels... his was the most... human." I never watched the original Star Trek, or any other version for that matter. But Nimoy's character will forever be a pop culture icon, and he shall be dearly missed by all his fans. Live long and prosper.

  4. Shame she doesn't get more screen time and a speaking role. Removing her original voice and altering his eyes is surely more offensive?
  5. Wow! I can not thank you enough! It looks fantastic, and I am so happy with this final result! Thank you!

  9. Hey, I'm looking at getting a new profile picture of me as a pony. While I don't have a sketch or anything to provide you with I can describe it for you. So can I have a light blue skin, a black suit with white stripes, a black fedora, black sunglasses, black hair with a fringe, black tail and my cutie mark being a camcorder? Thanks, The Retro Geek
  10. Goodnight from Britain, y'all!

  11. Because I am some geek who likes retro films and TV, and looks at modern stuff too if you're curious!
  12. Yeah. Gets my brain and imagination whirring. Wrote a review you can find in my Retro Geek Reviews thread thanks to the night.
  13. This is where I will be posting reviews of latest movies! My actual show on Blip and YouTube has been delayed for a while, so I thought writing up reviews would help pass the time until all is handy dandy. First review up tomorrow night! Well, out of boredom and the fact I'm not tired, I figured I could do a review now. SPOILER WARNING The Amazing Spider-Man 2 You know, Sony? I was excited for this movie. Back in 2012, the first Amazing Spider-Man was my first exposure to the Webhead and he's now my favourite comic book superhero of all time. The trailer for this movie was great, it had action, it showed Electro, Rhino and oh my god, yes, it's Green Goblin! Seeing the movie the first time was great, although the ending was disappointing and the lack of Rhino really annoyed me. But seeing the movie a second time, what? Is this what I enjoyed back in April last year? My god. The first problem of this movie is how it throws EVERYTHING imaginable at you. Here's a car chase, here's the guy who becomes the bad guy, here's Peter's graduation, soon to be villain is now obsessed with Spider-Man for a whole ten minutes, here's Alistair Smythe, here's a dream sequence, here's Harry Osborn, here's more stuff. Get what I'm saying here? However, I do appreciate the lighter tone this movie has taken. Kids are going to be able to enjoy this movie a hell of a lot more now that all the gritty aspect is gone. Oh, and here's another problem. The death of Gwen Stacy. Was Green Goblin REALLY needed for this? You easily could've had Electro be the one to kill her. That would've put a unique twist on things and show how far Max Dillon is prepared to go to get power. And Smythe literally seemed useless. Couldn't we have waited a little bit to show how damn harsh and intimidating Smythe is? Because the old guy with Green Goblin in some scenes is pretty much a copy and paste of Smythe. Why was he needed? There's also the fact that with Electro killing Gwen, that could've shown Spider-Man going as far as nearly killing his new opponent. And wouldn't it be epic to have Rhino show up in that scene too? Peter Parker is one of the four things I like about this movie. Andrew Garfield did a great job in this role yet again, and I want to see him stay as Spider-Man for the MCU reboot. He's witty as ever, doesn't talk like a character from the Star Wars prequels and reminds me of why I like Spider-Man so much. Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy is yet again brilliantly pulled off. She's interesting, smart and unlike MJ in the original trilogy, actually HELPS Peter Parker stop Electro. Let's put that as a 3.5 now that I think about it. And the third thing I like? The relationship between Peter and Gwen. It's done fantastically yet again, and when she dies at the end, it really is a sad departure. The fourth thing. Spider-Man's costume. Nothing else to say. It's just accurate to the comics and that's what I like. Everything else in this movie is just terrible. The villains are poorly executed, the supporting characters do nothing but try to seem like their doing stuff, and the story is just awful. If you want to show your kid a good Spider-Man movie, show them Spider-Man 2. Or Spectacular Spider-Man The Animated Series. Either one is fine. And yes, I do think Spider-Man 3 is better than Amazing 2. Who doesn't? Story: 3/10 Characters: 4/10 Presentation: 7/10 Overall: 5/10
