that'd just ruin the surprise. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) sadly, this post is a prime example of god-modding--a general no-no, when it comes to roleplaying. a much more acceptable post would've included the words 'attempted' or 'aiming to' in a way that would allow me to have my character react accordingly. i understand you want your character to be in control, but... ...c'mon. at least give me a chance. XD please edit your post. -

The pony within, had a meek laser pistol aimed at her head, when she had kicked in the door. He was shivering, although, a smile was stretched over his face. He looked almost...Excited. He wore a pip-boy...That had blood-stains on it. "Well, um, uh, that'd, uh, be nice, and all, and stuff, but truth is, see, firing a buckshot in my home..." He said, without taking a breath. He nodded his head, at the room. Explosives lines the walls, looking both foreign, and home-made. Bottlecap mines, EMP's, classic, grenades, mini-nukes, and more that probably didn't even seem like Redwood would even know what kind they were. There were even boxes of spare parts, and a chest that looked as if it were filled to the brim with gunpowder. In fact...The only thing that wasn't explosive-related, was the laser pistol. "...I would really rather you didn't...Um...Detonate my collection. It's taken me years to get this much explosive power..." He said, still aiming the gun at her, although in comparison, Redwood seemed much more in control of the situation. "...And I would hate if you accidentally blew me up...And yourself...And my property...And everything in a mile radius..." He offered a wider grin. "Why don't we just all chill...Take it nice...And easy..." A sharp eye would see that he was holding a remote with his other hoof, behind his back... -

Curiously enough, only a few of the mines exploded. Many of them looked altered, and didn't explode upon being triggered--it seemed as if many of the mines were only for show. But still, the few that did explode, made a rather loud noise...Understandably. The sounds, within the house stopped... It was a few minutes, before someone poked his head out, from within the shack. An earth pony, with hair that looked outgrown, and spiked in some places, matted in others. Goggles, were placed above his sleep-deprived eyes...He wore a lap coat, that was more soot-stained then white. He glanced around curiously...Before locking his sight on the pony sprawled out halfway to his house. He yelped, ducking his head back in, slamming the door. Various locking noises would be heard, as he reinforced the door. -
Zenru beamed. "One moment." He said, leaving to pick up a few brochures from the front desk, the few that would prove informal to new-comers. As he gathered them, Yrel had approached Diamond cautiously... "...You're wearing a costume of my uncle, right? A lot of ponies do that." She stated, looking over his armor, and badge, "Uncle Zenny has a lot of fans, and a few of them have dressed up like him. He doesn't like it, but I think its funny!" Zenru had started to come back, handing (hoofing?) the brochures to Diamond. "Now, now, Yrel...This is a fellow Captain, just like me." He explained quietly. Yrel's eyes lit up. "Ooooooohhh!" She exclaimed, starting to examine Diamond with more interest. "Really? What town? How longs he been Captain? Does he fight like you, Zenny? Is he related to the Swiftwings?" She started asking rapidly.

Either way is fine. -
Zenru frowned. "...Well, it is ideal to remain in Bangcolt, as to better learn about the city, and react quicker once a match had been prepared...But it is by no means, necessary. It just might be viewed, as rather rude, once your opponent is informed he must wait for you to come." "...But your from Canterlot, which isn't that far away from Bangcolt...So in this case, I suppose it would be acceptable. As long as you don't take weeks, to finish business, here in Bangcolt." He offered that same friendly smile, gesturing to the administration desk, while a small filly that seemed to share his own colors, save for a lighter shaded pelt, bounced up from the chairs. "Zennyyyyyyy..." She pouted, "I'm hungry..." Zenru looked from her, to Diamond. "...Apologies, friend, but I must ask if you need anything else, before I go. Maybe a map of the city...?"
-
Zenru raised an eyebrow, at him, as the small smile stretched into a grin. He moved, to clap a hoof on Diamond's shoulder. "Of course you can, friend! This entire city was built, for that very reason!" He said, with a slight sense of relief underlining his words. "We'll go register your name, and then you will be free to challenge anyone you'd like--does this seem fair?" He asked, starting to lead him back towards the registration office. --- Meanwhile, at the outskirts of Bangcolt, a shrouded pony would be seen making steady progress towards the city. The guards at the gate beginning to launch into their rehearsed speeches about what kind of city Bangcolt is, before being silenced by a cold stare. "Jeez...Another weirdo..." One of them muttered, opening the gates to let the pony pass in. The pony in question showed no outwards sign of recognizing the insult...And merely began to make his way inwards, directly towards the main Arena...

In the path from Fairway to the Everglades, a small shack would be seen, almost hidden by the ruined environment, off-course from the beaten road. The house itself was small, barely a two-room. It looked as if it had been rebuilt, many times over...Crudely painted red, and black. Mines, of all shapes and sizes, decorated the area around it. Along with signs that read 'please don't take my mines,' and 'imminent death is imminent.' One sign just had a face with horns on it. Tinkering, and buzz-saws whirring, were heard within, as a fine, steady plume of smoke escaped the modified chimney...Obviously, whoever was inside, didn't wish to be bothered. Then again, seeing as whoever was in there, lived in-between Fairway and the Everglades...He might know a thing or two, about the Gator Teeth... -

Zenru listened with that same blissful expression. "Active guards? There's only twelve or so, under my command. Jake and Jerry, they guard the gates. As for...The interior of the city, there aren't many guards. They have to be...Exceptional." His smile turned rather mournful. "...Um...'Normal' guards, per say, don't really last long in here. As for suspicious ponies...Well, a few, really. But there isn't any definitive proof of them doing wrong, so...Can't really do anything, for now. Salaries have been distributed, Jake and Jerry are rather happy with it, as are the rest of the guard. I would like to remain Captain, yes, I'm quite content with my position." He looked out the window, blinking as the intercom sounded. "...It's truly a wonderful town, for the most part."
-
Zenru nodded, with a small, kind smile. "Go on, I'm listening." He said, with the same patient voice, sitting down to somewhat close his eyes a little... --- Yrel blinked, as Raze shot off, frowning a little upon his small explanation. Looking at the book, she shrugged a little, putting it back into her backpack. "Well...I'll tell him about how the swords in stone are believed to be in Bangcolt, some other time..." She muttered to herself, going back to waiting glumly on the seat.

She frowned. "Um...My memory is getting fuzzy, but...Oh, wait! Zenny gave me a book, on it, to read!" She beamed at him, as if the fact that she had brought along that book was pure, unbridled genius. Pulling her backpack out, in front (which happened to be teddybear shaped) of her, she rustled through it, before pulling out what looked like an ancient book. She handed it to him, to read the chapter on the blades. Inside the book, the following text would be seen: "Farrier, the blacksmith of ages, created many blades during his lifetime. Along with various renowned equipment. Aegis, and Anaklusmos, being a few to name. But his prized creations, were three blades of legend. Helios, the blade of the day, Eos, the blade of the twilight, and Selene, the blade of the night..." "Farrier was quoted, to creating these blades, out of fear that the ponies would not be able to protect themselves from threats, without it. He entrusted one blade each, to the Tribes. The Pegasi obtained Helios. The Earth Ponies obtained Eos. And...The Unicorns, obtained Selene. The Tribes, in turn, each produced a hero, to weild the swords. A pegasus named Apollo, used Helios. An earth pony named Abel, used Eos. A unicorn named Hiero, used Selene." "For a long while, the ponies lived in safety, for the three hero's were called to deal with any major threats. With the power that Farrier had given them, they remained so strong, that some began to suspect that they were demigods..." "...Until one day, Apollo disappeared, leaving behind his blade. This in turn, brought disharmony amongst the pegasi, who began to quarrel over who should get to inherit Helios. All year long, the scuffling began to grow into fighting. And in turn, bloodshed. Hiero, acting with Farrier, stole the blade from the pegasi, as to prevent further fighting over the sword." "Hiero claimed that either a new pegasus must inherit the blade, or the blade itself must become mundane, to stop quarrels over it. Farrier agreed, and decided to seal the power Helios held, inside itself. The blade Helios, was the first to fall from grace...To ensure that no-one would find a way to unlock it's power, Farrier encased the sword in stone, to hide from the pegasi..." "Hiero disagreed with Farrier's wisdom, claiming that one must inherit the blade, to keep protecting ponykind. But Farrier had foreseen saviors, coming to unite the ponies, to lead them into a new age of prosperity. And as a result, refused...And then asked Hiero, for his blade." "Abel had trusted Farrier enough, to forfeit his blade, to be rendered mundane, alongside Helios. Eos joined it's sibling, in stone. Hiero, outraged, turned his back on those he had called his friends. Too concerned with the protection of ponykind, he refused to give his blade, claiming to continue his duties to the world. Farrier, although greatly saddened, chose to let him go. He had faith, that Hiero would use the blade for good. And when the time came, to pass the blade along, Hiero would make the right choice." "After that, the blades faded from legend, as the Alicorn Princesses came to be. Farrier passed on, along with Abel, both of which who were also nearly forgotten. No-one knows of what became of Hiero, however. Some claim he died, and Selene was buried with him. Some claim he returned to Farrier, and returned the blade. While a few...Think that he is still traveling the world, looking for the one to inherit his blade." "While Helios, and Eos, remain hidden in stone, somewhere in the world..." Yrel smiled. "I was just...Excited, to see if you had...Well...One of the swords." She said, with a faint air of disappointment. "But it's still amazing to see that Farrier was real, he actually made your sword!"
-
"...Yeah...Farrier was with the Tribes, I think..." She said, letting the blade be taken from her. "He was a really good blacksmith, and--" She broke off, at that last bit. "...You don't know about Eos, Selene, and Helios?" She asked, looking actually surprised. "The three swords Farrier considered his masterpieces?"
-
"...Oh, um...Zenny taught me a lot about Farrier..." She explained, pointing at a small symbol inscribed in the thicker part of the metal. It looked like an F, that had a circle around it. "He told me lots of stories, about what Farrier's made...I thought this sword might've been one of the three, but...Guess not." She smiled at him, "but it's still amazing to see one of his blades, present-day."
-
She beamed, before taking the cap off the bottom, and unscrewing the nut holding the hilt there. She worked fast, with experience most fillies didn't have...Before the rest of the blade was revealed. The sword ran from the blade itself, all the way into the hilt, where it thickened for balance. Yrel was examining this piece of the alloy, before her wings flexed. "...This is Farrier's work, isn't it...?" She muttered, more so to herself, then to Raze.
