  1. oh, uh, yo. whats up....mystery person. XD

  2. (YO-KAY, I AM FINALLY BACK AT MY HOUSE, I WILL BE POSTING REGULARLY, SORRY FOR THE DELAYS. XD) "Ah, of course. Well, it's nice to see another captain. I am Zenru Swiftwing, the high captain of the guard, here in Bangcolt. Well...To be fair, I'm the only guard here. Besides the two at the gates. But I manage to keep crime to a minimum." His attention seemed to drift for a moment, muttering something along the lines of '...I wonder if Jake is doing okay...', before redirecting his focus back on Diamond. "As for the ponies being injured--we have some of the highest-quality, healing-magic specialists here in Bangcolt, to heal the damaged once their fights are over. As long as the combatants inside the Arena don't go overboard, and continue fighting once a winner has been declared, then odds of a casualty are astronomical. The ponies going into the Arena, are fully aware of the consequences, of combat, so they each sign a waver. No permanete injuries have been documented, since near the time when the city was first founded. Even the Princesses themselves have approved the efficiency of the hospitable, here. I do appreciate your concern, but unless the pony in question is torn beyond recognition, then odds are he or she wont die." He offered a smile, "do you have other business, here?" (this is going off the headcanon that each town has it's own system of guards, and ranks. Canterlot being the most famous, but every town thats under the protection of the princesses, likely has their own set of guards, to go with a Captain, to look over it. Assuming the town is big enough, then sections of the town will have their own individual Captain, who in turn report to a 'High Captain'. who in turn report to the princesses, every half-year or so. Zenru is the high-captain/captain, for Bangcolt--is this acceptable?) She studied it for a long moment, before looking at him with an extremely intrigued expression. Upon hearing the material, it seemed to confirm something... "...Can I take the hilt off, Mr.?" She asked, already absentmindedly taking apart the handle of the blade. "I'm curious, about something..."
  3. Yo, mask-dude, would you mind if I took some liberty as to who crafted Raze's sword? I'm planning mini-arc, but I didn't think that taking control of your dude's sword would be very cool. XD so I'm jus' askin' permission Fair warning: im gonna take a LOOOOOOT of liberty, as to who made it, it's capabilities, ect. XD
  4. @, Her eyes flashed with interest, when his sword was brought out. Examining it closely, her gaze remained focused on the sheathed sword, once he put it away. She seemed more naturally drawn towards it, then the gun...Who's mini-story didn't seem that intriguing to her. "...Damascus steel, or stainless?" She asked, after a moment's hesitation, once he was finished. She raised herself onto her hind legs, in her seat, to try to get a better look, at it. "And I didn't see if it was folded steel..."
  5. She hesitated, looking reluctant to say 'yes.' After all, she did just basically say she had a second school, in which her uncle told her nothing BUT history on various weapons... But she didn't want to seem rude. "Um...Sure!" She said, sitting up straight to beam at him, "can we start with the sword...?"
  6. Heyo, sorry for disappearing. Randomly got dragged across a few states. XD I'll reply to Raze shortly.
  7. uh, question, do you want me to reply? or, was that reply purely made to try an' cheer me up?
  8. "Um..." She continued observing him with curious eyes, "my name is Yrel. I'm visiting from Rainbow Falls, to live with my Uncle for a while. He's teaching my about my family history..." She frowned. "...They're really boring. But the stuff he has is cool! There's a heart made of ice, and a shield-badge, and a short staff that has all these cool carvings, and--" She broke off, as if only now considering if she should be explaining these things, "um..."
  9. The small, light blue filly blinked, looking up at the stallion. Her eyes noticeably trailed, to his weapons... "Hi! Um...The nice mare at the desk is on lunch break, so...Yup!" She beamed at him, finally dismissing his weapons, "until Uncle Zenny gets back, anyways."
  10. well, i havent really updated his profile, so ill explain here. Zenru is part of the Swiftwing family, one thats been around since the Tribe days. back then, the Swiftwing line was the same as the other pegasi--just as fast, just as strong, just as skilled. but somewhere along the line early on, they started to react more...feverishly, to threats that presented themselves to the pegasus Tribe. they started to be the first on the scene of danger, the first ones to jump into battle....and even among the first ponies that pioneered the use of bladed weapons. now, as the family itself started to overwork themselves to be able to react to dangers, as a result, evolution started to take it's effect. they started out, as an utterly mundane pegasus line. but through dedication (and lots of battles with threats), they started to get faster...the battles got easier, as time went on. their skill at using weapons increased, exponentially. they rose in respect, and admiration, so much so that by time the Alicorns came along to rule the by-then-united ponies, the Swiftwings were prized for their speed. almost every descendant from the line joined the royal guard--and in turn, rose through the ranks exceptionally fast. it would be hard to name a single Swiftwing that didnt excel in combat. And even through all this, they only continued to evolve, almost constantly, to present day. Zenru, who has inherited the gift the Swiftwings have worked so hard to create themselves more then anyone else in his line, has proven himself to be the fastest, of all. ... TL; DR he's basically pony-pacifist-sonic-the-hedgehog
  11. Zenru had been heading towards the front desk, to document the number of fights that had been fought, today. He was writing down the results of the last two fights, as well as noting the challenges that have been issued, today. He raised an eyebrow. Three new combatants, in one day...One of which was Copper, the fellow he met today. Placing the papers in his bag, he heard the mission bell ring. Odd. Recalling a few rules about that bell in particular, he decided to go pay whoever rung it a visit...But not before telling Yrel to wait at the arena's office. Making his way over to the room (which I'm assuming is like, maybe one or two floors higher then ground level in the arena-building's structure, idk), he blinked at Diamond. "...Excuse me, sir, but the bell is meant for decoration, not for show..." He said quietly, "and I don't think I've seen you around before; new combatant...?"
  12. *kinda just looks around this thread* ...damn, its been almost a full year, huh? ... f*ck, its hard to think so much happened, in only a year. ill reply, in a minute, jus' give me a little time to get my bearings, aight?
  13. Hello, my name is P-Jay, nice to meet you. And thanks for applying for Bangcolt. It's always nice to see new faces, which seems to be increasing, here. Which is good; we needed new players, anyways. Now, having read your characters, I cant help but notice that a few of them aren't exactly combat-orientated. Of course, this is by all means 'acceptable', in Bangcolt, however, I would have trouble envisioning some of these ponies fitting in here. Take Starflash Twinkler, for example. I doubt that someone who 'doesn't tolerate fighting, at all,' would go out of her way to visit Bangcolt, which is known everywhere as the 'fighting capital'. You are still welcome, however. After all, slice-of-life interaction would be welcomed. Thinking more on it, it would be interesting to see what business a pacifist has. Perhaps she'd be there to maybe try to get a petition signed, to stop fighting? Oooh, I can just feel the potential. But I suppose what I'm trying to say, is that maybe try to consider your characters' personalities more closely, before entering them into the actual roleplay. Because truth be told, some of them don't seem like they would enjoy it here. I look forward to seeing what you have, to add to the plot of the story. @snow ey--quick thing, uh, no-one's really established a mayor in this RP. XD dunno who your expecting to post, but odds are, they wont. xD
  14. Caliber had strolled in, nonchalantly, as if he was only heading towards the local connivance store. Whistling as he walked, taking in the sight of the arena, he marveled as the mass number of different elements. Even some...Purplish-black...Stuff he couldn't identify. Truly a beautiful place...Too bad they had to possibly destroy it. Starting a rather routine stretching exercise, he started getting ready to fight... ...Glancing at Lektra, who had already made a steel platform at this point, he frowned. Rising in the air like that...That would be a problem to him. He narrowed his eyes further, at the shrapnel swirling around her. Additional problem. Not something a melee fighter like himself looked forward to, but... He shrugged. he was sure he could manage. but noting her molding the electricity did seem to really put a damper on his mood. "Electricity...Ugh, I hate the stuff..." He muttered, unsheathing his sword, beginning a slow walk towards Lektra, "my sword always ends up like a lightning rod..." But it was at this point, did he show a positive reaction. Walking confidently towards the platform, as the swords came at him...It was clear the lust for battle had started to burn in his eyes, with his snarky grin seeming to reach all the way across the arena, to look at Lektra dead in the eyes. An unspoken promise, to land at least one hit... The swords began swift attacks, slashing this way and that, but through the same pace as he had been demonstrating thus far, surprisingly, he began to dodge the electrified weapons with ease. Weaving in, and out, as he advanced towards Lektra. 'What, did she think that I cant handle some rookie swordplay?' He vaguely wondered to himself, shifting to the right to avoid another attack, 'doesn't matter how fast the attacks are--if I can predict it, dodging it becomes even easier...' --- 'Interesting magic...' Rune remarked to himself, 'the way she infused her signature energy into the steel just now...That's not something you see every day. Something that would prove...' He started to write notes, in his book. '...Useful to learn, myself. If I can crack exactly how it works, that is...'
  15. nah man, you could do it yourselves, if you really want to. XD oh, and Rune may or may not be watching your fight
  16. woah, didnt know i still held power in here. but whatever. interacting with ponies doesnt strictly mean only me or J.R., or the other co-DM's, ya know. i personally think it'd be neato if you and Copper started interacting.
  17. Caliber shrugged, walking out alongside her, noting her words. "Crazy? Nah, I don't think so...After all, ghosts are real..." He muttered casually, walking towards the exit of the warehouse. He vaguely wondered if this job was going to go smoothly, but for now, he'd just do as told, as he stepped out into the light, heading across town to the designated area, reading the file as he went. It was simple enough. Break in, find out what's going on, and leave, preferably without leaving any evidence he was there in the first place...
  18. For a moment, relief flashed in his eyes. "Oh...Well, that's a commendable strength." He dipped his head, and Yrel blinked, mimicking his movements. "I have a feeling you'll fit in just fine here...Try not to cause trouble. I'd hate to have to confront you." Yrel grinned again. "Yeah, my uncle is super-strong!"
  19. Her eyes sparkled, imagining the sight. Zenru, meanwhile, narrowed his own. 'Alicorn? Aura? The only other pony I know who really has a buff that makes him glow is Caliber, but he doesn't sprout wings from it...' He thought, with his outwards expression remaining the same. "...Exactly...How strong are you, if I may ask?"
  20. He raised an eyebrow at the subtle warning. But he showed no other outwards reaction to the statement, before answering the question. "It's tiring, I'll admit. Having to be in two places at once, solving all the problems, more then often stopping trigger-happy ponies...It's taxing. But its for the sake of peace, which is good enough for me." Yrel had ventured forward, examining Copper with more interest at this point. "Are you strong?" She asked, looking him over, "because everyone else is super-strong!" Caliber snickered at her indecisiveness--something about it was funny. Deciding that Mage's Paradise would indeed be fair, after all, it'd be better then an iron field. Not to mention how it'd be a reasonable amount of steel to work with. He walked over to the pony who was currently putting in digits. "Mage's Paradise, give a few extra orbs of steel." He muttered. The pony nodded, and went back to programming the arena. Looking back at Lektra, he tightened his sheath's strap, with a small grin. "There'll be enough metal for you to work with, don't worry. Oh, and try not to go easy on me..." The doors opened...
  21. His smile widened ever so slightly, when the filly was addressed. "Ah, yes, this is little Yrel. Say hi, Yrel..." She gave a small wave, with a toothy grin. "Aye!" The stallion turned to address Copper again. "My name is Zenru, the local law-enforcer around here. I make sure the...Fighters don't get out of hoof. It's nice to meet you--and I do hope your a rational pony." He extended his hoof. "Can I have your name?"
  22. The city seemed somewhat dead, seeing as only a few ponies were walking along the sidewalk. Most of them kept their heads down, save for the few that looked battle-scarred...The strutted almost as if they owned the place. It was a few minutes of walking, before someone would actually approach him. He had a kind smile, to go with a rather dangerous looking duel short-swords holstered at his side. A dark blue coat, with a red-and-light-blue mane and tail. Styled formally, he was obviously high-class... "...Well, hello there. How are you today?" He asked simply, with a smaller filly trailing behind him.
  23. They exchanged more uneasy looks. "Kid...No-one ever follows rules in here." One said glumly, "there's a reason why this place has the lowest population count of any other settlement in Equestria." "Ponies die. Often. Most of the time, because they tried to bite off more then they can chew. And us guards...We've learned to not try and uphold the law in here. You'd need to be some kind of freak to tame these...Things, inside." They hesitated for a second. "...I don't know why you would wanna go into this town, but I will say this: anything goes, in this place. Laws are a joke. We try to arrest someone, we end up in the E.R. If we're lucky."
  24. Outside the gates, only a few guards were stationed beside the gates. They looked at the pony humming to himself, exchanging worried looks. After all, considering this town, this new guy probably has enough strength to murder both of them in the blink of an eye. Why did they always get stuck with gate duty? ...Oh yeah, because anything inside the town is far more dangerous. One of them hesitantly started to open the gates. "Ah...Welcome to Bangcolt." One of them said, gesturing inside the bustling town, "where you can fight to your heart's content, and watch battles." "Rule one to surviving this place...Don't try to be a hero." The other cautioned.
