It hit them dead-on, resulting in a fair amount being blasted away. For a moment, it rained bits and pieces of the wisps...The ones who weren't hit seemed to stop, and stare at the ground.
Turning, slowly, towards Redwood, who was surrounded by parts of murdered wisps. The normal blue electrical aura that had been surrounding them thus far was turning a malicious red, crackling outwards. Their buzzing was replaced by what seemed to be a continuous, steady growl...Before a charged was passed between them at an alarming rate--finishing in a mere second, before being fired at Redwood with deadly accuracy...Curiously enough, the wisp that let loose the charge, exploded upon firing it.
The wisps had entered a state of do or die. An off evolution trait, to say the least. Triggered by extreme amounts of anger, and fear, they start to hyper-charge themselves, forgetting all safety regulations that they might follow. A last ditch effort to kill the predator--before they all perish.
The wisps that were above Gale, getting ready to fire their attack, were about to shoot before the one wisp handling the charge was expertly killed out by Shadow's thrown knife...Disabling the attack altogether. They seemed confused why the dragoness wasn't yowling in pain, before focusing their gaze on Shadow...But only for a moment, as their sight was fixated on the battlefield--ridden with wisp corpses.
Just like with Redwood's swarm, they too began to emit a violent red aura, turning back at Gale, building up a charge to fire--once again, the wisp who fired the bolt exploded, sending the hyper-charged attack at Gale...Strong enough to tear apart steel.
The wisps that had scattered from the fight either hid behind Copper, or zipped around aimlessly. The ones zipping about were visibly screeching to a halt to stare at a fallen cousin, backing up ever so slightly, and shooting off in a different direction.
...However, a single, lone wisp remained. A specially colored one, much like the one accompanying Copper. It stared defiantly up at Blitz, crackling with it's purple aura. As if judging him. Questioning him.
One single demand, unsaid, left hanging in the air.
'Why?'
The buzzing steadily grew, as around twenty wisps were now hiding behind Copper. A different defense mechanism in effect--they were smaller then they were at the start. Their aura almost the same color as the air around them, faded. Completely docile. Completely overcome with fear. Complexly...And utterly...
Defeated.
The specially colored one by now, was nestled in Copper's mane, still shivering frantically.
