I don't think I've ever been as in love with anything as I am with MLP. I want the merchandise, I want to watch the parodies, and, tbh, watching anything pales heavily in comparison to the canon show these days.

MLP is the first show I've been this involved with. I'm pretty sure my family knows, but they never made anything of it. *shrugs*
I agree with The Pink One. As long as you don't go overboard, they shouldn't mind too much.
