      They sent robots onto the sun with special sun proof material on the robots and they never melted and north Korea was all like "AW HEELLL NAAHH!" And they nuked the sun and right before the robot died it told the earth how hot the sun was.

      hmm, but isn't that a theory, though? I mean, wouldn't you theoretically have to go to sun and measure the surface to know for fact how hot it is?

      well with experimentation they can determine that it is a proven fact that it works by measuring objects the same way here on earth.

      No matter what a light wave's frequency doesn't shorten or lengthen unless it passes by a black hole, so the wavelength is a constant even after the trip from the sun to the earth
