  1. So after attending a day of BronyCon, I was inspired by some of the artists and products that I saw in the market. Some of the plushies were absolutely gorgeous. When I was back at the hotel that night, I thought to myself, "Gee, wouldn't it be cool if someday I could make something like that?" It has been a long, long, long time since I have done hands-on activities/crafts, but the Brony community is inspiring me to begin them again. Does anyone know of some good beginner plushie tutorials for someone who has literally no knowledge of sewing? A Bit About Me My inspiration for this interest comes from three things. First, I really would like to posses the ability to make any type of plushie I want. It just seems so cool to have such power and skill to fully express my creativity. Second, I am trying to find a hobby that I can enjoy. I have tried music, commentary, etc., but I just can't seem to get attached to any one hobby. I really want to get into programming, but I do not have that self drive to self-teach myself, and my school does not offer ANY computer science/programming classes, so I guess I'll be waiting until college. Third, and last of all, I really want to make stuff that changes people's lives. I want to make others feel good with something that I make. Just the thought of positively influencing someone's life, whether it be in a large or small way, makes me feel warm and fuzzy on the inside. I want to make others happy.
  2. Welp, there was this one golf course that shut down and it was getting very run down and overgrown. My friend and I decided to explore it because, well, ADVENTURE (This was before they put up the "no trespassing" signs xD). We went into the one small shack, which was open, and found a hatch under the rug that went into some creepy basement. Unfortunately (FORTUNATELY), there was really nothing in the little basement. We decided to take all the random crap that was interesting in the room (A plunger, etc.) and hide it on the stairs of the basement. Then we covered it back up with the rug. Someone then drove a jeep around the area just to look at whatever was happening. We were so scared as they drove by, but I don't think that they saw us. When we tried to leave, somehow we locked ourselves in the shack. Thankfully, we were able to sort of pick the lock (I think we just ended up breaking the doorknob even more than whatever damage was done to it LOL). We proceeded to enter another building because, why the hay not? We actually found a cool golf trophy and plaque that we decided to leave there because they looked important. There was also a random key that we decided to *borrow* and try to find out what it went to. A few months later, we returned to try to find what the key went to. It turned out that it went to one of the sprinkler systems. We found a sprinkler system, which was very mutilated because someone was trying to break into it, and I saw that there was a lock, so we proceeded to use the key. Lo and behold, it opened the thing A few minutes later, we somehow triggered the original alarm system that was in place for the buildings, and we bolted out of there. Whoever owned the real estate couldn't sell the thing, so they built... A cornfield over it. Actually, I think the buildings are still there now, hidden behind the corn. Maybe if we are feeling daring we will go back to it (as long as the no trespassing signs are gone, that is. Be as legal as you can, right?). This stuff was stupid because it was probably borderline illegal, but there were also many other people leisurely walking on the paths at the time, so it wasn't just us there. It's funny because it's just so random, and I like to tell that story :3 I have another story that I will tell after someone else responds!
  3. Even though I had to leave BronyCon after being there for only 1 day, use a chisel and hammer to remove flooring at my mom's dance studio for 2 hours, and then go to work at a restaurant, there were a few things that made me happy today. First of all, someone finally responded to my message about singing an MLP parody! Check out this guy. He is so awesome and deserves plenty more subscribers. Also, I got out of work early.
  4. I keep my hair on the shorter end, but I do occasionally like to gel up the front. However, I use a brush instead of a comb because it gives it more volume
  5. What if Trixie was the one who taught Starlight glimmer her magic spell thingy to remove cutie marks? There was that sort of emphasis by Twilight on "How did you learn such a powerful spell? I can't even do that!"
  6. Eyyy, I used to have those same headphones!

    general media PCs vs. Macs

PCs or Macs? 3... 2... 1... GO! I personally prefer non-Apple computers. They give me more room for customization; I can create a more powerful system catered to my needs. As much as I hate to say it, I do admire the physical aspects of Macs. They are sleek looking, have really nice screen displays, and their operating system is very unique. That aside, PCs still suit me much better as someone who plays video games and likes to render lots of stuff (I have a freaking 6-core processor. SIX CORES, and then it has multi-threading capabilities). Macs are also a bit overpriced for their overall value... A 2.7GHz i5 processor, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, and 128GB of storage for $1,299?? My entire system costs just a few hundred more than that price, and I have a GTX 660 ti graphics card, 8GB of DDR4 RAM, a 6-core i7 processor, and a 1TB HDD as well as a 250GB SSD. This topic has probably been covered before, but I can't find an active one (AKA I can't find one at all), so feel free to express you opinions here
  8. Once there was an ugly barnacle. He was so ugly that everyone died. The end. Get sp00kt. Ooh, I have another, but it involves Shrek...
  9. I generally don't wear embarrassing things in public because I am very self-conscious of myself. However, there was this one time that I wore a Discord shirt to the boardwalk at the beach. We were in this store that sold shirts, and while the guy at the register was talking to my mom and sister, he just stopped, looked at my shirt, and said, "Symphony of Catastrophe. Oh, that's from that one... Show." To this day, I am not sure if he knew it was My Little Pony or not. I also have a pretty cool Pikachu shirt and Lucario shirt, but they look so awesome that I am not embarrassed to wear them in public.
  10. I know that left shift wins by a landslide. I have noticed this with my friends. I surprisingly only use right shift. Maybe is has to do with whether you are a lefty or a righty? I know that I most likely use right shift because I use a mouse with my left hand, so when I am trying to do something while using a mouse, it is easier for my right hand to reach right shift (Weirdly enough, though, when I game, I use left shift and WASD with my right hand while continuing to use my left for the mouse. It's just the way I started playing and now I'm so used to it ).
  11. Oh, I have many. I will post them as I remember some of them. In one dream, I was at a field day event for my school, and everyone turned into Yoshis... There isn't much to that one. Ah, it's been so long since I have had some good dreams, and I can't remember my good ones off of the top of my head. Just yesterday I had a dream that I didn't finish my prereq for the first day of school, and then I was late to class 0.0
  12. When I got into the MLP fandom, I tried to coin the name Joseph Stallion for my MLP accounts as soon as I could
  13. That part made me laugh out loud I would totally eat that candy as long as it was NOT cats.
  14. Here is the evolution of my subway sandwich. When I was little, I liked ham and cheese on Italian bread. Yes, I was very boring and did not like to try new things. Then it evolved into ham, cheese, lettuce, and onions on Italian bread. As you can see, there is now more substance. I decided to try to make a healthier sub. My new sandwich consisted of ham, cheese, spinach, onions, oil and vinegar, and wheat bread. Then I found out that I had Celiac disease, so now I don't really eat at Subway anymore
  15. I have a horrible fear of WASPS. I don't like bees, but when I see a wasp, I want to jump out of a window. I also have a fear of public speaking. As you can imagine, the public speaking class that I was forced into last year was not very fun (I did, however, get an A+!)
  16. This is the most thought-provoking question that I have read today. "10/10, would read again." - IGN By the way, potatoes by a long shot. I LOVE oranges, but potatoes have so much more diversity in terms of preparation methods.
  17. No. From what I have experienced, no. It is mostly up to the individual, but I have a teenage sister and there is always so much drama between her and her friends. My mom always says that raising a boy had very little drama in comparison to my sister, but then again, I'm more of a reserved person who obeys rules and standards set forth by my parents, This makes a huge difference, even if my parents aren't that strict
  18. In the U.S., I wear an 8.5 men's. I have pretty small feet, but then again, Stalin was only 5 ft 4 in (168 cm). LOL I'M STILL TALLER THAN STALIN.
  19. I was watching Jack Bauer land a drone carrying a nuclear bomb on an industrial site in San Francisco.
  20. @@GuyNamedEarl, Anyway, on a more serious note... Scientifically speaking, we wouldn't be here today. As my teacher would always say, diversity=survival. There's a reason sexual reproduction evolved, and there's a reason why it is still around today In terms of society, that would fix many of our problems. There would be no more of these radical "feminists." I do support anyone fighting for a real cause, such as ACTUAL feminists... Not this propaganda crap we see from those who just don't get what they want. Anyway, the entire issue with feminism/gender equality would cease to exist. Also, there would be no problems with gay marriage. However, society wouldn't be the same... Just think of what would be changed. From a human perspective... Sex.
  21. Meanwhile, I'm still in Windows 7... Huehuehue And I do not plan on changing that. Although we are going to be at that point soon when we will basically have to switch over... It's just a matter of time
  22. As much as I hate to admit it, you are right. I have seen some cringe-worthy bronies throughout my time on the internet, but a lot of us do have issues, many of which we cannot control. I, for one, am very awkward socially with people I don't know well. I can talk to them and stuff, but I just feel like I say the wrong stuff and become very conscious of my body movements. Then I feel as if I say something really random and emotionless... Yet I am HIGHLY aware of what I am doing, which kind of makes it worse. Stuff like this is a common trend in the fandom and people take advantage of it to make fun of the fandom. Also, I used to utterly hate cosplay and view it as cringe-worthy. Despite that, it is starting to grow on me. Even though something inside me still says it is weird for a full-grown man dress up as Fluttershy, I think that this entire fandom has begun to change my perspective of things. I stop focusing on what it is, but rather the art that is there: the true beauty of what was created rather than the nitty-gritty facts of whatever is going on behind the scenes.
