  1. Wow, never once in this article mention Plant Abuse and repetitive WINKs.:lostit:

Anyway, this ep is a nice conclusion of Starlight story arc but one more thing has to be done. Starlight vs Chrysalis need to be settled, it will be Starlight last bang before the show ends forever, I hope writers wont forget Chrysalis vowed her revenge to Starlight personally in S6 finale. Promised but never devivered is a sin.:yeahno:

  2. About early-aired episodes,

    Spoiler

Episode 15 has some very few problems may put some people off but it's just very fun to watch. I watched it more than 3 times yesterday:ticking:

Episode 18 is a bit boring but it's cute so it's alright. Giving a snake a jar of cookie is one of the dumbest scene ever since Cockatrice scene in episode 11, I cringed everytime I rewatch it. Shipping fuel is overflowed in this ep, I approved.:umad::fluttershy:

Episode 20 is great. You haven't watched it yet so all I can say is it had my favorite characters.

    Still haven't watched the rest.

So yeah, they are cool, i'm happy.:P

Needless to say, this episode sucks. Today, it's the worst of the season and yet another Dash-centric flop.

Dash always get the short end of the stick out of the mane 6. She's supposed to be the coolest mane 6 character but she's always get the worst episodes, i'm glad i'm not Rainbow Dash fan...

  3. I think both pro-life and pro-choice should find some common grounds.

Bring a baby to an awful environment without any consideration, you will get more poverty /criminal that will cost your tax than your abortion cost. On the other hand, being absolute pro-choice can teach young people being more irresponsible like 'you can do whatever you want without consequence because Abortion will be your only answer'. My points are shitty, I don't know how to explain better. I just don't think you should go 100% pro-life or 100% pro-choice.

It's all about choice vs control, you should balance between them if you want to run a country...

What the hell am I talking about...……. :worry:

  4. Royal Sisters acting zany is a bit weird to me. I will never see them the same after this ep. :oI think anyone who like their persona in the comics will love this characterization. I'm still trying to get used to Celestia's post-S7 characterizations, especially this ep. Celestia lost her majestic vine in this ep to me. Well, the Royal Sisters can act like normal sisters after thousand years, I should cheer for them.:lie:

My favorite scene in this ep is Celestia used Canterlot Voice on Luna. It's cool to see Celestia used her authority voice to talk down to Luna. (which is not the right thing to do but it's cool. That's just majestic:proud:

  5. That Silver Stream last line left a little of bitterness in my mouth. (It didnt ruin the episode or anything but it still bother me)

The cockatrices outside the sister castle is dumb but not that dumb to be consider the flaw of the episode. The Trixie leads everyone montage in Act 3 should be the negative, it's too long and it's not funny.

Sunburst is another problem. Remember this guy used to be one of the most important things of Starlight? That character is just there for exposition now. He didnt develop as a character, he's just there. Trixie and Maud, which are Starlight's friend have more development and chemistry than him. Cut him off and i will notice no difference. To think he used to be an important part of Starlight's life, a part of her 'controversial' backstory that people had to take 2 seasons to get used to it, not worth it.

Trixie & Starlight friendship is still one of best things that the show has ever done for me in post-S5 era.

  6. The decision to make Garble 'redeemable' in this ep is already a risk, the writer just take it and make it works. I cant believe this ep and Non-Compete Clause were written by the same person, it just like Neal Deseau just wrote a good episode or something.:sealed:

Beyer-Johnson and Garble are similar in this situation. They're both messed up but they redeemed themselves somehow.:o

Thank God these people are villains: Had she not be evil, her insult towards his family would be considered a low point of the show. *cough* FS bashing Rarity's and Pinkie's lives *cough*

The benefit of villain characters is that they can do whatever they want, kick a dog, steal a candy from a child and we can still love them.:please:

Chrysalis feels so powerless and out of her league that she talks to what remains of Snarkle to keep her composure. Oh, how the mighty fell, indeed.

Wait, Is it Miss Snarkle? I didn't realize that.:o You mean Chrysalis talking to someone's corpse (Miss Snarkle remains).:wacko:Holy shit.

that feeling when a villain episode teaches the qualities of teamwork objectively better than one with long-established protagonists like Complete Crap Clause

Actually, this ep can make a lot of regular episodes feel jealous.:mlp_wat:

FIM's villain crown belongs to Cozy, whose manipulation of everyone cleverly hid her ability to doubt friendships, cause friction, and sway ponies.

Yeah, Cozy is becoming the best villain of the show, she's much more entertaining than villain Starlight and more superior intelligent level. I hope Cozy and Starlight will meet again and have some battle of wits, just to have an ex-villain teachs a young villain a lesson (which may not happen because Starlight will settle thing up with Chrysalis).:lie:

  8. Beside some cringe-worthy scenes (not very funny) and ultimate destruction of my QuibblexDash ship:blush:, this episode is good and very mature.:pout: Quibble is the worst Earth Pony ever:yeahno:, gods must trade all his strength for his silver tongue and a golden heart.:o A man (or Stallion) who try to love children of someone else is amazing to me.:LunaMCM:

  9. It's a decent episode overall but only if I forget this is the final season. I like the student 6, but I think they shouldn't belong to this ep. This is an episode just like Castle Sweet Castle, an episode that make a tribute for something important that has been gone (like Twilight's Library) and you tell me the mane 6, Pillars, Royal Sisters who had long history with the Elements give zero buck about it? The student 6's faces when they heard about the news look more genuine than Mane 6 when they saw the tree destroyed before their eyes, it looks like Student 6 have more emotional investment because they treat the Tree as a sentinel being, unlike Mane 6, who just lost their best tool and now they have their internal friendship power so the tool can just belong to museum now. The Tree spirit actually didn't die, that's good to hear, but it just make the premiere less impactful because nothing is really lost anyway. I teared up a bit during Castle Sweet Castle because it made me feel for the something that was LOST FOREVER and the ending is just so emotional, but Uprooted is just... empty because nothing is lost and the ponies I expected to care about it, didn't care. Season 5 is still the best season about feels afterall, it made me care about character Loss and Achievement.

This is the final season, I realized that I have no luxury time left to invest too much for the new characters, I just want to spend more time with the established characters like the Mane 8, Royal Sisters, CMC, Reformed 4, and old characters that should be explored like Diamond Tiara, Babs etc

Next episode is about Twilight, good, good, I missed Twilight episodes.

Bonus: When the last time Pinkie got her best episodes and RD&AJ duo episodes can be good for ONCE this time!????? Give me some miracle!:mlp_wat:

  10. Some people says this ep is boring, I don't know what they are talking about but ok, humor is subjective.:mlp_huh:

Some people says this ep is dull because they don't care about Rockhoof character so his struggles make him look like some whining jobless old man who didn't even try something new then choose the most cowardice way to solve his problem, :mlp_wat:I don't know what they are talking about. When I heard Rockhoof want Twilight turn him into stone, I teared up a little bit for no reason, maybe stories about old adult lived in regret and suffering always get me. :maud: If Twilight didn't come up with that "Keeper of tales" jobs for Rockhoof out of her butts, Rockhoof still want to turn into stone even all the students try so hard to cheer him up.:awed:

Season 8 is just too ambitious, even more ambitious than Season 5.

I have no idea why starlight even tried to banish discord, who is literally god tier, we've seen her learn the lesson "Words over magic" MANY times before, (Every little thing she does, The Cutie Map, No second prances etc.) why has she allowed herself to fall into the same pit AGAIN?

You don't know how far you could go when you are pissed or desperate to doing something right. Starlight can take the lessons to heart but she wont follow it blindly, even the Princess of Friendship herself didn't follow her learned lesson just to make people happy. Why did she try to banish Discord even she knows he's a God of Chaos? When Starlight Glimmer pissed or desperate, she is willing to do ANYTHING, even lead a rampaging monster to the hive, switch cutie marks of two powerful ruler of Equestria, challenge Princess of Friendship, mind control just to avoid the test... Banish the God of Chaos is just another Starlight's Monday, you can add to her records.

The episode would have ended much better if it was more like the Baby Cakes resolution, starlight being traumatized at the sight of discord's actions and breaking into tears, whilst discord emphasized for her and reversed the chaos he has conjured while apologizing and telling her the reason of his actions.

Yes, I think this idea will make the episode much better. I hate Discord in this ep and what I hate the most is how he's rewarded for whatever he has done. Starlight has to apologize that guy just because he's unstoppable force of nature so she has to make him feel better so he wont ruin anything.

    Quote
Spike: How? No offense, but I don't think magic is the answer against Discord.
Starlight Glimmer: This time, I'm not using magic.

Look at her face when she said it.

  12. Another wall of texts from our beloved buffalo.:fluttershy: Your review make me appreciate this episode more.:proud: This ep is just great if you doesnt get overhyped by Hasbro's advertising, similar to Equestria Games which is the decent one.

You already covered most of this episode so i just share my highlight moments from TM6:

    - I love the scene Chrysalis threatened to kill (or destroy, whatever) Twilight Snarkle but she didnt even flinch and talk back Chrysalis, and the best part is Chrysalis ENJOYED this. Chrysalis hate disobedience but yet she still find miss Snarkle amusing. Best villain vs villain scene.

    - Pinkie conform Fluttershy and stand up to Twilight is one of her best moments since the movie. The writers love to use Pinkie character to question Twilight's princess of Friendship status. In addition, Pinkie finally redeemed herself for whatever she did to Fluttershy in Filly Vanilli.

    - I shouldnt forget to mention how horrifying the death of the Mean 6 is. The reason this scene is one of the darkest moment of the show to me, because, in my unpopular opinion, the mean 6 members (maybe except Snarkle or Flutterbitch) didnt deserve that horrific death. They are awful people but the episode display their awfulness in comedic fashion. Some bad ponies like Sven, Suri Polomare or Spoiled Rich make you want to strangle them because the episodes in particular, portray them in more realistic/serious tone, they are made to be hated. The mean 6 is more like villains in the comedic setting, they are kind of villains who are destined to fail no matter what, you just cant take them seriously (maybe not with miss Snarkle case), they are kind of villain that you love to see their asses kicked in the most slapstick ways possible, :onot BRUTALLY MURDER. That scene is just hardcore, no rainbow beam or anything, just creepy white life-sucking tentacles. Shock value!

This ep is really great in the second watch after the expectations dies down, i didnt like it that much in my first watch because of the hype.
