This episode would be controversial. I need a popcorn to watch the whole "fandom civil war" because a lot of people already dislike this ep before they watch this episode, everyone will argue, that the nature of fandom . Can M.A Larson create another controversial 22-minuted episode that tear fandom apart? Cant wait for "Slice of life"

I agree your point about DT's presence just to force the plot moving but I'm fine with it , Flight to Finish still my best episode of ss4 . Hope this issue didnt stop you from enjoy it ...uh... are you DT fan? *running away*

Rainbow Fall: the main problem of that episode is how they portray Splitfire as villain. They just need to make Splitfire a sympathic leader who want their hometown win not some typical competitive assholes. I think DT and Silver's presence is needed to move the plot forward (just like they always do), DT in my head always a spoiled filly without any remorse (hell, in Ponyville Confidental, she even said she didnt care about feelings ) so this ep portrayed her exactly what I expected from her... The only one problem in this ep..... maybe some punishment for DT Inspiration Manifestation: They need to make Rarity aware what she did not to be totally controlled by the book (like enhancing her creative to extreme but not control her) so that Rarity can face her mistakes and learn (cuz the only one learned in that episode is Spike not Rarity)

Filly Vanilli is a great episode but the scene Pinkie makes Fluttershy cry ruined it. This scene should be replaced or toned down.

Everypony is nicer after 4 seasons . Haaahhh, i miss ss 1-2 where everyone is asshole, mental breakdown... . Anyway, you are right, we NEED "Fall weather friend" Dash back (not Maredowell Dash ). Haizzzz, My little ponies are growing up but sometime i want them to be "little" longer (Character development is always nice but you know wat i mean )

Some viewers have high standard when enjoy any tv productions. I call them veteran viewers (enjoy finding hidden depths, analyzing stuff, bashing etc ). As an average viewer, I follow MST3K Mantra advices, stop over-analyzing everything and I really enjoy about 90% of episodes of FIM (including 100th episodes cuz I love fan pandering episodes ). The less expections you have, the more episodes you can enjoy... maybe I'm easy to be satisfied

My least favorite pony is Diamond Tiara. But if she fell in love with me, I will never accept that... But wait... her father is FREAKING RICH... Tiara will have everything after her father pass away... if I marry her, I will... muahahahahahha XD

Whether this ep is good or bad, it will my favorite episode nonetheless because this is a love letter to the fandom :3. I have some visions... fanboy screams everywhere, the river of tear, the flame of the haters, battles of reviewers and the cracking sound of shattered fanon... It will be more exciting tto see than the episode itself. Mua ha aha ahahaha XD

I Nah, i didnt call him Mary Sue but he certainly has Sue-liked power. He just likes some "ban or use it" card to solve problems that make any threats in the future less thrilling. Even they try to write him out just like Spike in Cutie Map doesnt help... Our Ponies have Cutie Map, Element of Harmony, 4 Allicorns and Discord.... I agree with OP. Discord is too powerful. He can defeat any future threats in equestria by a snap of finger, and it wwould be boring There 3 ways to solve: - Nerf him or ban him completely (stone him, put him on the bus...) - More powerful villain (control time/fate powers, Starwirl-like or even something can compete element of harmony..) - Weaker villain but gain higher advantage (some unlucky situation, nasty villain with crazy-prepared...) Solution 2 and 3 are more awesome than stone him ) Maybe i watch too much anime...

In Make new friend but keep Discord, the scene with discord coming out the bed is reference to The Grudge horror movie

I'm fine with ss5 fluttershy. She isnt that timid pony that we saw in ss1 anymore, good job writers. However, i still love the old fluttershy ; ( . Hope her shyness is still there cuz that make i like her in 1st place. To me," Character over-developing " results losing character's charm...

cutey is right! Pinkie's snap decision saves rainbow. If some non-magic ponies face this situation, they will be stunned and let rainbow meets her demise. Remember when pinkie was going to be crushed by the rock, Maud is the one who came to rescue pinkie IN TIME while the mane five just move ONE step... Pie sisters are always my favorite (hope its awesomeness run from their family)

I expected this ep will be more about "finding treasure" ... but it's ok, we have Gilda... :3

People hate KC for its forced plot and Fluttershy's manipulate. To me, ss3 episodes have a lot of interested concept with some fatal flaws but i still love it (my guilty pleasure)

Mane 6 has changed over time, their weaknesses are diminishing after they learned new things. the writer can not reuse the moral they will have to find new lessons. I think, the more developed character = less topic to tap on the character. Twilight was perfectly developed = less focus on her, Rainbow Dash still can exploit ..., more potential in SS5 Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie still has many aspects can be exploited (Her sentiment is still much mystery ),Applejack = back ground pony , rarity is nicer now = less focus. Season 5 now need the undeveloped characters much like Discord, Luna, Celestia, CMC, Trixie, Diamond Tiara, Gilda and so on. Bring more mature, dark subjects, some twists, to keep the show fresh... maybe some villain episodes too =]].
