  1. There are reasons to why i liked it. But i think the story is basically... J-Animation slash Disney and its really just unoriginal and just silly. But i will say when i first tried Kingdom Hearts 2 on PS2 that the gameplay feel of it was pretty sweet in terms of transforming and slashing enemies. But i will consider it as a guilty pleasure. I honestly don't know how the series still are popular?

But you can say what you wish in terms of what you think of it ^^

  2. I don't know if you people are familiar with this, but in anime mostly they tend to be lazy by animating the jaw moving when your face is infront, their mouth move but usually not their jaw. Its only when the character is shown to the side that they tend to animate it in anime. But MLP animate the jaw moving with the mouth aswell, and i guess its because they use a trick line to guideline it, with the thick cartoony line.

    Kinda nice ^^

  3. Seems fine to me. Not personally attacking the Grumps, but criticizing them on their attitude. Arin really can be pretty negative, though I think it's exaggerated a bit by the video.

Note: The video is not saying "LOL GET A LOAD OF THESE LOSERS". It's parodying their sometimes negative attitude.

Alright then. So a bunch of YouTubers make fun of another YouTuber with a slight jokes. Just as they mock game companies.

Ok, then it sounds cool i guess ^ _ ^.

I guess we can agree on that.

Also, to add onto what Banul said, they're not attacking the general audience either, which you were clearly doing in your initial comment.

If i slightly mocked them would that be ok with no personal attack. All in good jokes as one would say.

  4. As Banul said.

There's a difference between making a joke at the expense of something the person has actually done, and just flat out calling them names or accusing them of screwing animals as they did once with a LPer that was a furry.

I don't see the difference to be honest. Ok then, let me pick another example. He makes fun of AVGN sometimes slightly, he's called Taco-Man, he says he doesn't hate him but makes jokes on him. Same with Game Grumps. Is that ok, no personal attack or anything, just plain jokes.

Please, just listen to all of us. It will save us all the trouble of repeatedly explaining everything.

Look up. I answered it  there.

  5. I'm not sure what you intend by this. Your phrasing is confusing and I have a strange feeling that's scathing sarcasm. I could be wrong though.

Well if you search "Mega64: The Pissed Off Rage Nerd Who Plays Games And Gets Pissed Off" on YouTube, you'd get the idea of people mocking the idea of angry reviews.

I'm sorry, NOT HUMAN?! Where do you get off?

It was sarcasm. Look up the earlier comments on it and you'll see the conclusion.

  6. Uh..? So it's fine to criticize certain people but not others?

I am using that argument for people complaining on personal stuff Retsupurae did towards YouTubers for calling out and calling it awful. So i made this argument that was also personal. Should both be banned?

Once again, you're ignoring the death threats and hate-mail their targets have received.

And what if Bioware got death treats because of a uploader?

  7. That's actually a reference to a picture of Jessica Chobot, the voice actor in question, sexually licking a PSP. That's a real thing, by the way. It was the second picture on google for me. (careful though, some nsfw pictures) That photo was one of the things that sparked her popularity for IGN.

Its not like that person is a human or anything.

  8. Yeah Angry Joe is a deliberate caricature of gung-ho masculinity. So anything he says that's not about the actual game is not meant to be taken seriously. Which is good because the actual points he makes are often very good, and I agree with him more than I do Yahtzee.

So then anything saying bad stuff about YouTubers is not ment to be taken seriously. Like making parody jokes how bad angry reviews are. Even though it mocks the idea of it. So i guess its ok :)

You DO realize that, like most youtubers, AVGN and NC put on personas that are intentionally over-the-top. They're going to make jokes that are "childish,"

Go back to page 2 and read the last comment there. It answers your reply basically.

  9. No, I'm not, if the uploader did something questionable, say they made a mistake in a game review or something, and failed the game as a result, then yes, it should be called out, but not by saying, "Wow, this is so bad, you should kill yourself, I can't believe you made it."

So Angry Joe making sexual jokes about a person getting a job as a voice actor in Mass Effect 3 is ok you think? Just wondering?

  10. Just because a big game dev made a shoddy ending to a game, doesn't give people the right to be assholes. So, yes it is the people's fault, but only the ones who acted immature.

So by that you are saying it wasn't the uploader's fault right? Same with Retsupurae. Some take it too far. People in general.

  11.  That is NOT how it works, bud. I don't care how "exposed" they've been to the "evils" of the internet. NOTHING excuses that behavior.

Well people make videos on how much they hate game companies aswell, like popular YouTubers. I bet some followers on a YouTube channel have harassed Bioware for Mass Effect 3. Is that justified? Are you gonna blame the uploader on a popular YouTube channel for that because of ME3 ending? Is that justified too?. Nope. But its the people's fault right.

  12. Oh how I love arrogant and narcissistic pricks like EDiots and SA users that consider themselves some kind of holy defenders of the internet.

it never ceases to amuse me.

I think its the opposite. I will rather say NC and AVGN have more of that glory problem than Retsupurae and Somethingawful, i think they are doing the internet a favor by calling out the stuff that people glorify, its not like Retsupurae are glorified, they just exist. And people who are rational don't follow the crowd and think individually.

  13. "Pick on". Those are the keywords. They arent criticizing their work or trying to help the person get better, they are just trying to get rid of that person, by any means necessary. How DARE you try to justify their actions. You are suppose to criticize the CONTENT, not the person.

Good: "This isnt very good, you glossed over very good scenes in the movie in order to make your point. You should have done more research."

Bad: "Oh my god, you dumbass, you are a horrible videomaker just stop making videos and kill yourself."

Well with how much internet stuff they are exposed too i can't blame their vulgar comments to be honest. I mean there are lots of stuff they have to clean up, so i don't blame them in general. And btw you see lots of complainers here complaining on my previous thread, but i am not complaining and saying they are horrible people.

If they wanna say something then let them do it .

  14. Actually, earlier you referenced a reviewer who you said was better than NC....when people told you this reviewer did horrible things, you ignored it, or pretended it didnt matter.

They pick on people who makes bad content on the net and call them out for it, thats it basically. If other regular users sends death threats thats their own fault

Wait wait wait, some posts in this thread reminded me of the whole mentality I hate: The "objective" mentality. You know, people throwing around the word "objectively" at anything they personally don't agree with. So what if people like AVGN and Nostalgia critic. It doesn't make them objectively terrible people.

Also, "focus on things you like." Um, then there wouldn't be any critics who's you know, job is that.

But it honestly is. There are very much wrong with it.

1: I won't even call what they do jokes. They use stuff like "Shit" "Ass" "Penis" Fart". If its target audience is little kids they might score on quality jokes, but thats about it.

2: Like i could put a commentary by Nostalgia Critic over any movie and it would basically have the same effect. And the game commentary when  complaining about something being so hard and cursing and stuff its done for comedic effects and not to be informative. Although some people have called them out for it but they reply with "Well duh, its just for jokes". So i say, well if i make up my own angry character go around and calling every youtuber horrible, is it ok if i say "Well duh its just for jokes". I mean it works the same way. The thing is the game is not so hard as they ham them up to be, as i have tried some myself.

So the humor and content in generally is objectively bad. Its just that the target audience existed since 2007 and it hasn't moved much since then, atleast some.

  15. People have different tastes but just because one doesn't enjoy certain content doesn't mean it's objectively bad by any means. Of course you could talk about the more objective things like quality of video like resolution, lighting, colours, etc. but one form of humour isn't objectively better than another. After all, millions of people can't all be wrong. Same can be said about PewDiePie; I don't personally enjoy his content but I'm not going to claim it's objectively garbage as much as many people would like to believe.

Exactly. Its the lack of quality control which is why it exists on the net. If this was on TV it wouldn't be showned. Its because people there are more professional on what they expose the public too. So you are right in general.

  16. Except that they don't work on green screens and stuff, ok? They're not professionals, they do it for enjoyment and the enjoyment of others. They're not IGN or Gamespot.(Ironically, I find nothing "professional" about those garbage sites anyway.)

I didn't literally mean green screen though. It was more in terms of "Long long time work", and that's when i said... well they can but if it ends up like it does then it wouldn't matter to say the least.

There are some IGN stuff i like. Like the Re dub of FF13 or Street Fighter Re dub.

  17. Not any mention as to how those actions are deplorable, just that the people being attacked somehow "deserve it" or "should have expected it."

You know, I first commented on this thread because I wanted to talk about someone I'm a huge fan of, not get into an argument involving people's suicide!

You can do as you like. I just ment to discuss and talk :)

Have fun and talk about stuff you like to talk about ^^

  18. Yes it should! Critisizing someone's work and criticizing the person is a fine line but it does exists. Are you seriously defending people who, as we've established, DRIVE PEOPLE TO SUICIDE AND ARE PROUD OF IT?!

    How am i defending?

Face it, people like seeing others get batshit crazy at a game well-deserving of the shit it gets. There's nothing objective about what AVGN and Nostalgia Critic do. People can criticize them for doing things the way they do all they want, it's all subjective. I'm sorry people yelling at shitty games makes you mad, but no one's forcing you to watch them. They put a lot of time and effort into their videos, and people like them. That's all there is to it. There's no objectivity to be had.

You can work all day long on a green screen. It doesn't matter if the production conclusion is bad. There are much stuff in it that one can find objectively bad.

  19. I'm not saying things shouldn't be criticized. But driving people to suicide as a badge of honor?

Imagine movie actors. They get it too. Like i saw this Twitter case by Bill Maher a talkshow host, its bad but it exists. Its a risk people take when they go public. To blame it on criticizers should not be the case i feel.
