She has just had a operation on her spine, and cannot walk and in bed, and her mom hit her with something across the back, and i cant do anything because she lives in the US

That is very troubling and if the right steps aren't carefully pursued, it can lead to tantamount legal issues. I'm afraid I can't be of much assistance, but perhaps you should post in the life advice thread and I'll standby to see if I can provide anything useful. There is legal help here in the U.S. for her, that either another family member, or friend maybe able to get her, but ultimately she would need to take some kind of initiative to make contact with legal aid.

I rather not make a thread about this, and she doesn't have anyone else, she lives with her mom, and her sister and father passed away, but thank you Dizzy
