    I really question the term "herd" as being a part of the fandom. If I'm in a part of a herd, whose herding? It brings to mind a herd-mentality. Just a thought I had.

      I suppose it could taken that way. But I'm just focusing on the idea of a "herd." It just doesn't sit well with me. If you're in a herd, you become the herd and the herd becomes you. You don't think or do anything individually but as a group and for the group. In other words a herd-mentality or herd-mindedness
