  1. I agree, she's very pretty. I've never heard of her until now. I can definitely imagine her and Rarity being friends.
  2. My dog got a haircut today. His face looks like a fluffy teddy bear, haha :3

  3. All of the contestant's art are beautiful, but I personally found Lucky Lass' work to be quite gorgeous. I really like the art style
  4. Sorry for having to get back so late. すみません!^~^ 殺せない(korosenai) doesn't mean unkillable nor is it an adjective. 殺せない is a conjugation of the verb 殺す(korosu), which means to kill. What 殺せない meaning is "Can not kill." However, verbs can modify nouns much like adjectives. If you modified a noun -- say 人(hito; person) -- with the verb 殺せない it would mean "Person that can not kill. (殺せない人)" Which isn't what you're aiming for. To say something along the line of unkillable, I would just use an adjective like ふじみ(な) (fugimi na; immortal) to convey the same meaning. For example, ふじみな人, "Immortal person." The reason I feel this is better is because of this: 殺されることができない人(korosareru koto ga dekinai hito)! That's just plain clunky, lol. I kind of opened a pandora's box of grammar with this, haha. I hope I didn't go overboard. Anywho, I hope this helped. ^-^
  5. Welp, it's time for me to get going now. See you all tomorrow night! ^-^

  6. Just a heads up ^-^ A Japanese word of the day may or may not be posted on Saturdays -- if it is, it's going to have to be a lot later. Which also means I have to get back to any comments or questions later as well.
  7. I would say that there has been a lot more crying this season. Or perhaps it's more noticeable coupled with the more mature themes in this seasons episodes. I don't like seeing characters cry, because I want them to be happy. But it does add more depth to the them because many of us can feel their pain on a personal level -- especially Moon Dancer from "Amending Fences." And in turn, it makes you love and relate to them even more.
  8. The power within...The power within...THE POWERWI-- Ohai! こんにちは、皆さん!^-^ The Japanese word for the day is...*drum roll* 葛藤、(かっとう)、Kattou いみ(meaning): Conflict, complication, troubles, and... れいぶん(example sentence):私は学校でこどもと一緒に葛藤があります。 Watashi wa gakkou de kodomo to isshoni kattou ga arimasu. ほんやく(translation): I have a conflict with a kid at school. Conflict is a part of life -- thus why this is an important word to know...unfortunately, haha. But we all love Discord, so he can stay; so long as he's being good, of course. I see you cooking up a scheme over there, mister... >.> Oh and if you got that reference above, you deserve a brownie, haha. ^-^ Any and all questions are welcomed in the comments section or through PM! じゃあ、また明日ね!^~^
  9. Yes, indeed it does! ^-^ くろ (Kuro) and しろ(Shiro). But wait, there's more! haha As these two words stand right now, they are simply nouns. If, though, you tack on an い (I) at the end of くろ and しろ, it will become an adjective. Making them くろい (Kuroi) and しろい (Shiroi). Now you can place either word in front of any noun to modify it. すごいね!For example,しろい車 (Shiroi Kurama), "White car." As for Akabane, you almost had me stumped. But Akabane is actually a Surname and (what seems to be) a prefecture -- or at least an actual location -- in Japan. Hope this helped! ^-^
  10. Thanks, Jokuc-San! ^-^ Yes, you are correct. し(Shi) and a small よ(Yo) -- like this ょ-- makes しょ(Sho). If, however, you write しよ, it will be pronounced as "Shiyo." This will change the word completely -- So, be careful! If you want to learn hiragana and katakana, there are plenty of free resources online. Just type in "Hiragana and katakana learning sheets" and that should suffice! Then print them out and practice on a sheet of paper. Hope this helped! ^-^
  11. Don't you love it when you look back on your own post or status and notice huge grammatical errors -- like how the heck did I miss that?! Lol xD

Sometimes I write too fast and I don't spell check so I end up with "it's so hot stinkin' outside." LOL I have to laugh at myself on that one. I bet people were so confused. xD

  12. Hey, don't hesitate! ^-^ I can't say exactly when, but I may offer Japanese tutoring lessons in the near future -- so keep a mental note on that, haha. And that's awesome -- I hope to go to Japan in the next couple of years myself. Let us cross our fingers together, shall we?
  13. こんにちは、皆さん!^~^ The Japanese word of the day is... *Drum roll...* 食品店、(しょくひんてん)、Shokuhinten いみ(meaning):Grocery store れいぶん(example sentence):私は食品店に行きたくない。Watashi wa shokuhinten ni ikitakunai. ほんやく(translation):I don't want to go to the grocery store. I know -- it's kind of a "boring" word. But it's an important and relevant word to know; especially if you plan to go to Japan for longer than a tourist stay. Any and all questions about the language are welcome in the comment section or through PM! じゃあ、また明日ね!^-^

  16. Welp, I think it's time for me to hop offline and catch some Z's, haha ^-^ Good night to all and to all a good night!

  17. Yes, Indeedy -- there are ^-^ This is from my personal experience, of course. First and foremost, the best free online source that I can recommend is Tae Kim's Guide to Learning Japanese. This site is absolutely free; no strings attached. It's actually almost too good to be true, but it is. It covers basic Japanese all the way to advance. And there is an app for Itunes. The next site that I used was Learn-Japanese. Aesthetically, it's not as nice nor as extensive as Tae Kim, but it's a great start. It teaches hiragana, katakana, kanji, beginner grammar, and vocabulary, among other things. I studied this site to death, before I moved on. Another site is Maggie Sensei. This site focuses mainly on grammar, but it's really helpful. Albeit, the format can be a little hard on the eyes, but once you get past it, it's great. Another source is not a site specifically for Japanese, per se; but it has everything. That's YouTube. You have to do a little searching, but once you come across the right person, you can learn a whole lot. Unfortunately, I can't remember who I used at the moment. Lastly, I've heard that a site called Memrise is helpful as well. Although it is free, there are extra perks for having a premium account. Nevertheless, it seems like a great site. I just recently got an account myself and it looks very promising. I hope this helps! ^-^
  18. Hello everyone! ^-^ As some of you may know, I have been studying Japanese for several years now. I haven't, however, been studying much this year; which has resulted in loss of vocabulary. For this reason, I created this blog to learn and keep track of new (and relevant) words on a daily basis; as well as to share them with you all! It's a win win! If you're studying Japanese as well -- or have a remote interest in the language -- I hope this helps in your language journey or ignites your interest in it! So without further ado... If you have any questions about the language -- be it, grammar, studying tips, Kanji etc. -- feel free to ask down in the comments section or through PM. I'll be glad to help however I can! じゃあ、またね!^-^
  19. I don't drink soda at all. You couldn't pay me to drink it. I used to have a cup almost everyday a year ago, but I stopped cold turkey when I learned just how unhealthy soft drinks are. I became even more resolute about not drinking it, after I learned that many soda companies put human fetal protein in their drinks. Yes, you read correctly -- and Pepsi is one of them.
  20. I don't have a fear of needles; I do get a little uneasy, however, at the thought of an incompetent nurse wielding said needle. That's because one time, a nurse couldn't find my vein and kept sticking me over an over in the same arm and lifting the needle a little under my skin...that was a painful and uncomfortable experience. She eventually found my vein, but still... So, needles, no; incompetent nurses, yes! And there's no way to tell if they are or not until they stick you -_-' lol
