Exactly! Plus, if you look up Disney subliminals in children movies...oh my, smh.

Very true, the subliminals are pretty bad with disney.

  4. My eyes are a dark brown. I have always admire hazel brown eyes, but I love my eye color and wouldn't change it even if I could. To everyone that bashes on their brown eye color: please don't, they are beautiful the way they are. It's scientifically proven that the darker your eyes, the more melanin you have in them; and the more melanin, the better your eyes can block harmful rays from the sun. In other words, you don't need sunglasses; your eyes are the sun glasses because of the melanin. I like all eye colors -- don't get me wrong -- but the brown eye color bashing bothers me.
  5. *see hooves* Scream at top of my lungs; pass out. *Wake up* Have Panic attack; pass out. *Wake up again* Panic attack, hyperventilate, gain composure, then... "This is awesome!"
  6. Random question! -- I want to pick your brains, so please volunter if you like, lol. XD If Pinkie Pie broke the third wall and her dialogue interrupted the narration of a story, would you: A: think it was funny B: think it wasn't funny C: think it was annoying or D: have no definitive feelings?

If you think it'll work, it probably will... Considering I have no idea what she is saying or what the narreration is talking about. :P

@The Professor no problem -- that's what the answer D is for :P

  7. "First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win." - Mahatma Gandhi I don't agree with everything he stood for, but I do respect him and his willingness to die for something he believed in. I've liked this quote ever since I heard it.
  8. Wow, thank you all for your advise; I found it really helpful. It is very much appreciated! No, I hadn't considered it before, but that is a very good idea. I have heard of role-playing -- and read some role-play threads on the site -- but I've never participated. Now that you mentioned it, I will definitely think about giving it a try.
  9. I came back from watching the animated film "Home". Don't watch...it's horrible! Rihanna should never voice act...ever! XP

Sounds cool... What is the fanfic about? Not a war or anything like that? If so, don't wanna hear it. :)

    4. Jaxsie (Inactive)

      Jaxsie (Inactive)

No war at all, haha. This is vague, but it's a story about Pinkie and somepony (can't say who X3) she hasn't seen in a long time and the shenanigans they get into in Ponyville. I plan on making it funny, heartwarming, and with a good message to boot. :)

  13. Hi everyone, I have been writing the beginning of my fan-fiction that has Pinkie Pie as one of the main characters. But I have come across a problem: I find that writing Pinkie's dialogue is a little tricky because I don't want to accidentally exaggerate (and consequently shallow) her personality or make her OOC. I was wondering -- for those of you who have written Pinkie Pie -- what advice do you have for keeping Pinkie's dialogue in character but also not sacrificing her depth? Also, are there any fan-fictions already published that have done this well that you would recommend? Thanks in advance!
  14. This is an interesting topic that I'd like to add my "two cents" on. Gender equality can not exist, because gender can never be "equal." Men and women are scientifically different; biologically and physically. Comparing gender is like comparing an apple and an orange; both are a fruit but are different in their own unique way -- so how can one be better than the other? Men and women compliment each other in our strength and weaknesses; what one lacks (or has less of) the other makes up for. For example, men are (generally) physically stronger and less emotional -- in that men express their emotions less. Women, on the other hand, are physically weaker but more emotional. Call me sexist, but If I need to move something heavy but can't -- like furniture -- my first instinct is not to call on women to do the job. Or let's flip this around; If a woman needs a babysitter, her first instinct is not to get a male babysitter. I'm just being honest here. Differences are O.K., and they are beautiful and compliment each other perfectly. Gender can not be compared as being better than the other because they are unique and therefore can't be made equal. This is not to be confused with social equality; which every society should have.

      Jaxsie (Inactive)

Yeah, it really is, Dark Horse! For some odd reason, it's just mentally hard sometimes to align your talk with your walk, haha. Our minds can be our best friends or our worst enemies.

  16. @@Suukorak, I appreciate that you were respectful in your disagreement. Honestly, what else is there for me to say? This is a moral issue. If you think sexualizing characters from a children's show is O.K., my argument will avail nothing; and consequently be a waste of your time and my own. You have every right to exercise your own judgment on the matter, and I won't try to convince you otherwise. ~ Peace
  17. I think brownies are better; but specifically home-made brownies.
  18. The MLP fandom is not perfect; no fandom is. But my main qualms about the MLP fandom are moral ones. So I only have two thing that I would change. - I wish the fandom would stop sexualizing innocent MLP characters! I find this aspect of the fandom highly disturbing. I will not bite my tongue on this; it is disgusting. I can not even search for MLP pictures on Google (with safe search on) without having that crap pop up on my screen. The show is aimed towards little girls! Taking characters from a show for little girls and making them into sexual fetishes is wrong; no matter how you hash it. I don't blame people who see this aspect of the fandom and think bronies are pedophiles, would you? We know that this isn't so, but it's a perfectly logical assumption at first glance. The thought of a child fan searching for MLP and accidentally being exposed to that stuff hurts my heart. - I wish the fandom would stop associating the show with the LGBT movement. Please, oh please, stop taking up a kids show and using it as a means to herald the LGBT agenda; it's wrong. MLP has nothing to do with that. Start a friendship movement if you want, but leave sexual orientation out of it. The LBGT have every right to spread their message but using a children's show to do it is taking it too far. There is nothing sexual about it.

I guess, face your fears as they say. Can't know if you never experience.

    3. Jaxsie (Inactive)

      Jaxsie (Inactive)

True :) I wouldn't do it for bragging rights -- although it's cool to say you've jumped out of a plane, haha. I would mostly do it for a new experience and a chance to face my fear. Plus, you never know; I may even like it. But I don't think I'm ready to take that leap yet (pun intended, har har) :P

      Chip Circuit

I can't blame ya, I'd have a hard time saying yes. I can only say I might do it because I haven't been faced with the chance.

  20. I believe that hypnosis is very much real, but no way -- no how -- am I doing this. The brain is a delicate and malleable machine. I wouldn't tamper with it for my own amusement and fantasy; and consequently, I wouldn't mess with my mental faculties either. During hypnosis, your mind is highly susceptible to suggestion and can be easily manipulated. People who find this scary and are mistrusting of it should stick with their gut feelings. Anyways, I digress. To each his own, I suppose. But I prefer to keep reality and fantasy separate, in this regard.
  21. No, I wouldn't want to be famous for many reasons. 1. You can forget about ever having privacy again. Every time you walk out of your house, you will be bombarded with people who vie for your attention -- whether it be paparazzi or overzealous fans. Everything you post on social media will be scrutinized. 2. People will constantly judge you on the most inane things; such as your hair, clothes, or a vacation you went on. 3. People will hate you for no reason -- not dislike, but outright hate and detest your existence. You're gonna have these people anyways at some point, but its redoubled when you're famous. 4. The pressure to put on a facade all the time. People expect you to smile and be happy all the time. If you wear a frown -- oh my -- hear comes the rash judging and rumors. I don't want to smile all the time but inwardly be miserable and can't tell anyone. 5. You have to worry about back-stabbers and pseudo-friends that only have their own interest at heart. How would you know if people are your friends because they can get something from you or are if they genuinely like you? You can be surrounded by "friends" and still be mistrusting and lonely. These are only a few off the top of my head.
