The designs could work, but you need to make it a stage thing. Since they're both musicians, there are actual reasons that they might dye their coats and wings like that.

I think you're too hard on yourself. There are some mixing issues, but they're minor in comparison to the overall quality of the track. The genre is most like complextro, which is essentially dubstep with house beats.

I makes me incredibly happy to know there are other people on this site writing music with gnu/linux! You might try adding a kick drum (or a second kick if there already is one) since this is house music. Try a sample from the open path sample library with some distortion, add a sine in the 20-60 hertz range, bounce to audio so you can use an adsr filter, and finally, cut the 60-150 hertz range with an eq. If you follow my method of producing a kick, you should cut <60 hertz and boost 60-150 hertz on the bass.

Obesity is even worse than smoking! Dying because you were too fat... thats just... why!? Stop eating so much! Go excercise! Whenever I get to about 180, I start clamping down on what I eat, and being more active, and I go back to 160 or so. There are nearly 4000 games for linux on steam. Windows only programs can run on linux with wine. You can optimize your system more easily than in windows for whatever you need (i.e. low latency audio). There is some linux exclusive software as well.

That being said, windows still has more software.

How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: I became a fan of MLP through my sister, eventually deciding to watch the show on my own 3-4 years ago. Since then, I've been in and out of the fandom.

After originally joining MLP Forums, I made a number of friends. I vanished from these friends and the fandom a little under a year ago because I worried they'd find my parents' contacts and tell them I'm trans. It was irrational and stupid, which is why I'm joining the various Poniverse platforms again. I'd like to do what I can to be friends with those who need it, and assure myself I leave an overall positive impact on this community.

I love the artistic side of fashion, but I feel deeply conflicted towards sexist beauty standards. I think fashion should be a tool for expression; a beautiful (or handsome) person should be one who is healthy and happy. I suppose I am fascinated by the artistic side of fashion, but disgusted by the injustice and sexism of the beauty industry.

Firstly, nice job :3 I like your melodies!

You could try some sort of saturation on your drums bus if you like. It might make the track sound a bit more powerful. Besides this, you might try to balance your distribution of pitches a bit; give each instrument it's own range (i.e. the bass takes c1-g2).

There are two mane things that might help you write dubstep, and those are having dubstep drum samples, and having/understanding an fm synthesizer. Because beats tend towards minimalism in dubstep, sometimes having extra powerful samples helps to make your tracks hit a bit harder. As for fm synthesis, this is how I design almost all dubstep sounds from the "yoi" to the "monster" bass. You may find another method that works better for you, but it could be worth trying if you're interested :3

You could try blending in some acoustic elements if you like, and heavy delays can be used in some really creative ways. A simple beat and some medium-heavy sidechaining can work nicely too ^^

As with any sort of electronica, it may worth having a pack of samples (drums in particular are nice) that are specifically designed for the genre.

I have a lot (ALOT ) of friends who produce music, and 3 years of experience in music production. In the past, we haven't been too fast to recommend fl studio (as seems highly common), and I've rather liked reason due to the oh so high quality soft synths, but since fl studio 12, we'd recommend fl studio wholeheartedly, and if you can afford the signature bundle, it'll be especially worth it. However, finding a pair of production headphones is equally important in my opinion. If you had to choose between more features in fl studio and a pair of production headphones, I'd recommend the headphones :3

fl studio 12 producer edition > headphones (ath m50x recommended) > signature bundle ^~^

P.S. Since you're using logic, your computer is probably an apple. Fl studio doesn't run so well on my non-windows machines, so maybe try reason if you're not going to use windows. Besides this, you might want to look into getting new plugins or perhaps new samples instead of a new daw. It might be that you just need new sounds and not a new interface.

Pretty much a closet brony, save for a couple friends irl that know my horrible secret of liking a kids show. Other than that, Im sure my parents know, but they wont talk about it to me, and visa versa 

My parents wanted to check my SAT scores maybe a year or so back. Unfortunately, they were sent to my email, and my email was glitching and freezing a bit. Lo and behold, my entire inbox was EQD. I basically sat there for 30ish seconds in horror. Later, my mom wanted to use my computer for some reason or other. I had learned my lesson from the email thing, but of course mlpforums was my top site on firefox. I'm basically certain my family knows about my like of mlp, but no one says anything.
