      I see her point, and I agree of one of my friends from school or relatives who didn't know what a brony was saw it, I would be at a little of a loss for words. The merch isn't make or break for me, or else I probably could talk her into letting me have some. I think it's probably just a better plan to wait 2 years and be able to display it proudly when I have my own place.
