@Astralshy It was definitely a fun one! As were the CMCs' episodes.

I forgot to mention, but I've finally did it! After all these years I've caught up with MLP! That's right, all 6 seasons, and wow, Season 6 was amazing. Probably my favourite one so far. There's only two or three episodes I disliked, but the rest were great. Where to begin? Oh yeah, Spike... he was the MVP here. Showing nothing but courage and determination. He risked his pride and fame to do what's right. Honestly, how is he not an Element of Harmony? He was my favourite character this season.
This new Starlight Glimmer however... She's awesome! Usually when shows introduce new main characters it's a sign of a creative decline, but here, they used her quite sparingly and it works. Having her be best friends with Trixie was great and powerful.
Other characters I loved seeing was Maud, Vinyl, Discord and Big Mac of all characters! He had some fun moments, especially when he was so talkative in the past. Vinyl showed up a lot being cute as ever. Discord breaking the fouthwall and reality it's self, while trying so little, but still succeeding, to be a good friend. Maud gives her most emotional performance yet. I think she even smiled once. That dragon, Ember, wow! That was one of the few episodes I actually watched years ago, but rewatched it anyway. Cool design and nice charecter.
Now the Mane 6. Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy and Applejack were standouts here. Things I dislike about these characters usually are the flanderization moments, like Pinkie being over the top for a cheap laugh, Fluttershy suddenly being scared of something she normally isn't and Applejack just being the cowgirl and nothing more. This is rare in this season. Pinkie's being overly caring, Fluttershy is helping others no matter how it effects her and Applejack is really good here, like, I don't find her boring now. The other characters were good, but these three stole the show for me, right behind Spike.
Some great pair ups too. Fluttershy and Applejack going to Las Pegasus together and both hating it. Pinkie and Fluttershy enjoying buckball together, solely for the fun of it and not the pressure of needing to win. Rarity and Pinkie hanging out with Maud, Applejack and Rarity trying to enjoy a spa session together. Rainbow and Fluttershy helping with her brother, Zephyr Breeze, another great new character! The CMC had some nice moments also.
This season had such a unique finale, starring only the supporting characters, as Discord states. Him, Starlight, Trixie and Thorax. I unusually had the story spoiled for me by the MLP mobile game, but oh well. It was fun to see these characters interact with each other. It reminded me of the 100th episode, but a more focused story. I wish we got more of these kind of episodes. We don't need the Mane 6 all the time.
Anyway, this was an incredible season for me. Why I stopped watching at such a point, I'll never know... well, not having easy access to the show was probably the main thing. I guess up next is Forgotten Friendship, unless a Season 7 magically materialises, along with a MLP Movie. We can only hope.

That's right, all 6 seasons
I'm glad you enjoyed season 6! It's not my absolute favorite in the series, but a good one anyway like all the others. Great to see some appreciation for the finale – I know it's a bit divisive for some reason, but I loved it.
But I think you should check out the rest of the series too – despite some weaker episodes, they also have some of the best episodes of the whole series.

@Tacodidra I'm surprised to learn that. I thought this was a very refreshing and fun finale. It gave charecters we rarely see have an important role. Lots a clever jokes and world building. It had good morales too, like having trust in your abilities to use for good, even though you once used them for bad, and having faith in others that most dislike, such as Trixie who Twilight doesn't approve, yet ultimately helps save the day.
In fact, I remember people criticising most of the episodes back then. It put me off, but finally seeing them, they're great! I've found myself enjoying the show a lot more now, not having to worry about catching up and being part of the conversation, that was mostly people nitpicking. I enjoy the little things the show has to offer, like the callbacks to older episodes, the pop culture references and the subtle jokes the characters make. So many movies references in particular. I'm not much of a song person, but there was some nice ones here.
I'll definitely check out Season 7 at least and see where that takes me. I've always found trying to complete a whole series daunting. It's around 10 hours of content per season. Watching a few episodes at a time has helped. It took me a week to watch Season 6 as a whole without getting burnt out.

I always enjoyed the episodes where characters other than the Mane 6 got the spotlight, so I was bound to enjoy that one! And the chemistry between the characters was brilliant.
I guess when people watch the series for years, they tend to get burned out on it and enjoy it less. I watched it all in a couple of years, so I managed to avoid that.
When I first started watching and enjoyed it so much I decided to watch the rest of the series, I was a bit shocked when I saw there were almost 200 episodes at that point. But as I kept watching, I liked it so much it didn't feel like a lot. There's no need to rush, I usually watched just two or three episodes a day to not run out of episodes so fast.

It's amazing what good sleep can do. I've been having less than four hours sleep for the past week and I've been getting ALL the symptoms that come with sleep deprivation. One good night's sleep and I feel... normal. Come to think of it, I've never been a good sleeper, which explains a lot. I typically go to sleep around 3 and 4 in the morning.

What's your favourite ship, Fluttershy?
I'd rather not say.
C'mon, Fluttershy! Just show us!
Okay then...
SpoilerUhh... Fluttershy, we were specifically talking about watercraft.
Ships on the water, sugarcube.
Oh...

I've finally been catching up with MLP! Well, Equestria Girls. I don't think I'll ever finish the pony show. Equestria Girls has to be one of the most confusing shows to navigate. After four movies and some shorts, you have a special, which is actually three normal episodes. It could have just been a movie. Well, we get to see the Shadowbolts return, but no Indigo Zap sadly, since her voice actor wasn't available. Oh well, at least we got to see Starlight Glimmer make an appearance, who has the same voice actor as Indigo Zap... wait, why was she absent again?
Then there's the Summertime shorts, followed by two seasons! Imagine my disappointment finding out the seasons are also shorts and not full length episodes. They're still great however. The Choose Your Own Ending shorts are too, although they seem to be missing from YouTube because of legal issues, so you just have to find random uploads where there's long awkward pauses. Speaking of which, the official MLP YouTube has uploaded some, mixed in with other shorts, but they're even more strange; you'll get the original video, followed by a few shorts, then eventually get the choices, or sometimes you don't even get any.
Regardless, this is an awesome show. I think I prefer it to the pony show in all honesty. The concept alone is interesting, but the characters are so much more likable. Pinkie is less annoying, Rainbow isn't as rude, Fluttershy is braver, Twilight isn't the main focus and feels more part of a group, Rarity is Rarity, Applejack stands out more and Sunset is an awesome addition.
I might take a break for now before watching the rest of the specials. I've heard that the show doesn't have a true conclusion, but I've also heard that the pony show has a bad, or at least, a mixed ending, so, is it not better to keep it open ended? The original human Sunset could be trapped in a paradox and needs to be set free with pony Sunset finally leaving her friends to forever live in the pony universe and taking all the magic with her... or human Sunset is totally fine, living a nice life without even knowing of the situation and everyone is happy. The sky's the limit! I'm just happy this show exists at all.
MLP is already such a niche show for us older watchers, so a spin-off of that is super exclusive, especially with how awkward it is to navigate, as stated earlier. Equestria Girls could have been such a disaster, but it's something so special. It's a shame many people didn't give it a chance after the first movie. There's so much to like and I'm grateful for all the fans that still create art, stories and mods for such a show.

@Silly Druid Thank you!
The fact we need to read such a list just to follow a kids show is funny.
