"If you're learning how to fly, I might be able to help. They let me help teach the special needs foals how to fly sometimes." Derpy knew not to ask about why she were learning how to fly so late, some weren't too comfortable talking about their disabilities. It was also easier to create a training breeze if you had two Pegasi involved. It also didn't help that she hadn't discussed the true technique of flapping, if done wrong she might just push herself back down toward the ground with a misflap, which could do more damage than just falling.

Quill followed the trail with Last, not wasting any time. "Ponyville, my brother and I were just leaving Sugarcube Corner, if that helps." He was precise in his answer, starting with the most important detail first, then elaborating in case more specificity were required. At times like this it were important to get to the point first, if the rest wasn't needed he could be cut off mid sentence to save time without losing information.

As Vivid pulled the arm she had grabbed, The Forgotten One tried to pull back. Vivid was strong enough to keep him from pulling it back through the layers of the world, so he tore off his own limb to escape her grasp. With this, the arm was pulled all the way through to the realm of the living, where the others could see it. It shriveled before their eyes, but there was an odor coming from the blood, which looked more like tree sap with a small amount of pink food coloring in it. In fact, it smelled like tree sap, mixed with strawberries.
Sylar acted quickly, as he had planned, shooting his webbing onto a large rock sticking out of the ground. Now tethered to the ground he used the webbing to readjust his trajectory, slingshoting himself toward Vivid even faster than before. His two blades were still drawn and when he landed, his blades would pierce through Vivid wherever he could land them.
Ink didn't think his rescue attempt through at all. He caught the peanut butter colored Unicorn but his trajectory (which was already headed toward a wall) was directed downward through an open window. The two of them landed against a pile of sacks of flour, covering them both in white powder.
"What was that?" the unicorn said, as she got back onto her hooves.
