goodnight sleep well and let luna watch over you :)

  2. I'm really glad I decided to include my ADD in my Ponysona. It makes things a little easier, because if I miss something it makes sense that Seamore would too. I can go back and correct things like I just did with the torches and it's just Seamore being Seamore.
  3. @@Denim&Venom @@Blitz Boom @@cwhip9 @@P-Jay Seamore unhooked himself from the cart. He realized he hadn't lit the torches or put out the fire yet. He went over to the box at the side of his cart and reached in. "There they are," he said as he pulled out a couple of torches. Then he lit each of the torches in the fire and attached each to one of the front corners of his cart. Then he put out the fire using the water bucket Crescent had used to clean himself off. "This way nopony will be wasting magic on an illumination spell. Well, I'll lead the way." With that he put the last of his things into the cart, hooked himself to the cart again, and started walking on a path that would lead them deeper into the forest.
  4. @@Denim&Venom @@Blitz Boom @@cwhip9 @@P-Jay Seamore began hooking the now empty cart to himself. A cart that size would usually be pulled by two or four ponies, but Seamore was used to pulling it on his own. "So are you going with us too?" he asked now looking toward Vivid, "What was your name? I don't remember." He thought he might have heard her name before, but he was mistaken.
  5. @@Denim&Venom @@Blitz Boom @@Fire Lily @@cwhip9 @@P-Jay That only leaves two undecided. At least that's what he thought. "How about you Dusk?" he asked as he turned to look in the direction where Dusk had been sitting. She was gone. "Well I guess that's a 'no' then." He was a bit disappointed, but he understood, she was a little timid, afraid that the others would find out that she was a Bat-Pony. Also, with his description of the Diamond Spider, who wouldn't be a little intimidated. In any case he hoped they would meet again. "So..uh...I guess that just leaves you, Excalibur. Are you going to join us? Remember, everypony who helps gets an equal share of what should be about six thousand bits, plus the spider's diamonds." He got Caliber's name wrong again, confusing the mental note he made to remember Caliber's name for his actual name.
  6. I decided I'm not having any more bad days unless someone I know passes away, and then only out of respect for them. Life is to short so I will make all of my days good days.

Again with that crying mustache guy in a dunce cap. But anyway, bad times don't have to cause entire days to be bad, I know bad times will still happen, but I won't ever let it ruin the whole day.

  7. This is an explanation of my drawing process. I don't consider myself a great artist but I do like to draw from time to time. I'm posting this because it can be hard to find the process that works best for you. This is just one example, and I'm not telling you this is the way you should draw, it's just the way that works for me. A couple of these images are turned sideways, I can't seem to figure out how to prevent or predict that, but I post from my phone so that's to be expected. First I start on graph paper to make it easier to create symmetrical shapes without having to use a ruler, and I draw in pencil so I can easily make changes. I draw the part of the basic structure then add some small details to make sure I like the proportions. Then I finish the basic outline, using the grid on one side as a guide to make the other side symetrical. Then I add in the rest of the details. Next I retrace the image starting with the lighter colors, then moving on to darker colors as they cover over the lighter colors better. Then I color in the rest, finishing it. Throughout the entire process I add details and make changes, which is why I prefer pencil. This creature is what I call a Diamond Spider. It spit a venom infused with chaos magic which has random effects on its victims, its webbing has regenerative properties, and its gigantic. I came up with this creature for a Roleplay I'm in. Not only can a Roleplay be a place to use your creativity, but also a place to gain new inspirations.
  8. @@Denim&Venom @@Blitz Boom @@Fire Lily @@cwhip9 @@P-Jay "I understand your concern Briar, there are policies in place to prevent the total uprooting of the trees, and it is required that all seeds be removed from the trees harvested and those seeds are to be planted if viable." He understood the fact that a race of plant creatures would be likely to be concerned about the treatment of other plants, he hadn't had much experience with the Evergrown before, but from what little interaction they had, he had at least picked up on that detail. "I found some information about Diamond Spiders when I did my research, but nothing about where they come from, so bringing it back to its natural habitat isn't an option. But anyway, back to the mission. Who else wants to join? We have a party of four so far." He was a little excited, but also not too happy about the fact that the spider would have to die. It was unavoidable though, it was dominating the area and creating a serious risk for travelers.
  9. I thought I'd show you all an picture of what I retraced so far, I like the way the diamonds show the shape of the spider without it having been drawn in yet. Outline: Done: I like the way it came out.

  11. @@Blitz Boom The spider does have chaos magic, and is quite large. That doesn't have to mean that a female wouldn't be larger. If someone wants to make a comment along the lines of "and the females are supposed to be larger?" go right ahead. Also, the comment about needing bifocals is quite funny because actually, in real life I do wear glasses. @myself I'm posting this as a reminder to myself because I check here before every post. I have an idea for Seamore's response to Briar, he will talk about how that's protocol as well as collecting and planting the seeds. @@Denim&Venom The double quotation marks kind of confused me as well. Italics without quotation marks should help distinguish thoughts from quotes. Also, OOC issues should be discussed here, the site staff takes notice of it apparently. I would recommend deleting the OOC post and reposting it here. @@cwhip9 I'm sure you will probably be fixing your post to correct this issue, so I will hold off posting a response until you have had time to fix it. @everyone else Please don't respond to what Crescent said about the shadow, due to communication errors it may end up being edited.
  12. @@Denim&Venom @@Blitz Boom @@Fire Lily @@cwhip9 @@P-Jay "As far as I know there's no offspring to be concerned about. I've done my research since seeing the thing, and it appears to be a male, and I doubt it found a mate out here. What I meant by it being an invasive species is that it is not from around here and it's making a major impact on the ecosystem. It's dominating the food chain and needs to be dealt with. As far as compensation for injuries, we can cover the medical expenses before calculating shares, if everyone agrees to it, that is." He shrugged off seeing the cat fly, he's seen stranger, especially when Discord was first released. Seamore and Last got the cart emptied fairly quickly, "Thanks for the help." Moving back to the fire now that the cart was ready, "So who's in?"
  13. @@Blitz Boom Keep in mind the trees will be covered in webbing, it may be more convenient for the rainbow colored leaves to be carried in a bag made from that webbing. As far as the offspring thing goes with the spider, if it has offspring it's not likely they'll be able to eliminate the threat. I think making the spider male can solve this problem. When Seamore does sell the logs, he will need a member of the Royal Guard present to oversee the sale and sign the document as a witness. The Everwood trees are highly controlled due to their magical potential.
  14. Looks pretty good, you just need to clear away the lines you used as a guide.
  15. @ everyone Finally. It's done. Just need to trace it over in color. I'm not adding patches of crystal to the first and last segments of legs, or to the center segment of the body the legs are connected to. I will do the color version Tuesday, probably.
  16. @@Denim&Venom I did look up Anansi to see what you were talking about, I appreciate the tie in to mythology. The spider itself is just a wild creature acting on instinct. If you have an idea of where it could have come from though, go ahead with that story. I do like the idea that it may be protecting something for them, it could even be the Everwood trees themselves that it's protecting. @everyone Another slight redesign, adding the extra body section in the back to make it more anatomically correct. Adding the final details before I trace it over in colored pencil on tracing paper. One question, should I get rid of some of the crystals in the patch on the back or should I add more?
  17. @everyone Diamond Spider update. I added the rest of the legs in and slimmed the body a little. The spider needs to be able to move quickly, so the body to leg proportions had to be altered. This is why I draw in pencil then retrace it onto tracing paper.
  18. @everyone I didn't give a very good description of the cart initially. It's a very large four wheeled cart which I forgot to mention had several logs in it. The Everwood trees are going to be a lot wider than the pine so they will probably just barely fit in the cart. The cart is going to be empty, so the others may be able to ride in it on the way there.
  19. @@Denim&Venom @@Blitz Boom @@Fire Lily @@cwhip9 @ "Really? Let me see," he said as he got up and went over to take a look at the permit. He took a closer look at the part she was pointing to and it quite clearly said three where it would usually say one, he was in total shock. "In that case it'll be about a 6,000 bit profit to split evenly between those who go, more if we can find some good size trees. Well, it looks like I'll have to make room in my cart." He went over to his cart and started moving the pine logs out to where the other one was, climbing up into the cart and pushing them out fairly quick for their size. "As soon as I finish with this we should get going, so if anypony wants one last s'more, now's the time." The deal had been changed significantly. Who wouldn't want a share of such a large profit? Well if anypony was unsure before, they now had a serious decision to make, so he decided not to ask who was going just yet.
  20. @@cwhip9 @@Denim&Venom Also important, would Crescent be able to tell that her pony form is just an illusion? I was using the full version of the site on my phone and "an error occurred with the webpage so it was reloaded" and I lost everything I had just typed. I think I got it all though, I had to retype it all by memory. @ everyone I've started drawing the Diamond Spider, but I still have a lot of work to do. At least you can get an idea of the concept. I'll be adding more patches of crystal all over it (and the rest of the legs). I will probably do a color version when I'm done. I'm not working tomorrow so I might have time to get this done. So far this has taken over an hour just getting the structure how I want it. For some reason my images get turned sideways when I post them from my phone.
  21. @everypony @@cwhip9 Seamore was unsure of what Crescent meant, being unaware that his permit allowed for three Everwood logs, and not having heard Last Stand's comment about the permit. "One Everwood log is worth 2,000 bits on average. Divided between the seven of us, if everypony decides to go that is, would be 285 bits each. That isn't even taking into account the Spider's Diamonds." He was of course referring to Last Stand, Caliber, Dusk, Crescent, Syo, Briar, and himself, not knowing who the bat pony left out. After a short pause while trying to remember the question he continued, "And the Diamond Spider has laid claim to an area where many Everwood trees grow. Why do you ask?"
  22. Here's a new song, it's a bit short, I may add more. Edit: Made it longer and changed the name. Neverfree Welcome to the Everfree Where the clouds move on their own, And the animals care for themselves So you had best leave them alone. They'll hunt you down and eat you 'Cause to them you are but prey. Oh, did I say you're welcome here? 'Cause I really meant stay away. Stay away from the cragadiles. Timberwolves chase as you run for miles. Now you're full of fear and you want to leave, But you'll never be free from the Everfree. You are never free From the Everfree It'll haunt you as you dream All the things you see In the Everfree Are never quite as they seem. It's never quite as it seems, you see, And you can't stay anymore, All that's left to do is flee, So your hooves better hit the floor. Your hooves better hit the floor, Go on, Now hurry on your way, You're welcome to return to the Everfree, So come back some other day.
  23. @@cwhip9 I agree with the idea that Crescent would be the one most likely to notice due to the fact that bat ponies have better hearing, aside from Briar but Blitz won't be on until tomorrow. Upon closer inspection the permit is revealed to allow for three Everwood trees to be sold. Seamore can't be the one to notice because of his ADD and the fact that she says it quietly. I don't want to do the "did you say something?" thing again.
