    Why do I have the compulsion to create? Why do I continue to write and make music, despite mine being the only ears it reaches? I do not do it for recognition... something deep inside compels me to do it... but what?

      that's quite the motivational drive. kinda jealous because my motivation is stale as fuck. actually, it seems to go in phases: last Autumn, i created a ton of mixes in Audacity; now i barely have the will-power to do a new one.

      Meh, I stopped using Audacity. I do all my music in FL Studio now. Simple as Audacity. Pick a VSTi, record, and play.

       

      Interestingly, I found my creativity is not affected by lack of visual stimuli. I have played several songs with my eyes closed the whole time.

      maybe i should move onto FL Studio for mash-ups and the like. honestly i would have done that long ago had i not scared myself away from it last summer when i tried to get into it and failed. ever since then, i've stayed from FL Studio because of bad experiences frightening me. i really should end this cycle at some point, though.
