Heh. I can relate. But of course, when life happens, you deal with it for a while and keep living on.

That's nice

Huh. Surprise there's no 28 pranks later

Even though it's under appreciated by the masses, it's still a good film nonetheless. While there are some noticeable flaws, they aren't that much of a bother to make you rip your hair off.
Nice review! I agree all the points you've made

While they all have their ups and downs in their episodes, I still care about them

I have more of a daily life slice of life feel of this episode. And I love it! XD

I'd prefer watching Party of One again, but this episode is meh for me.
-
I'm probably the only one that groans a lot in this episode lol
My enjoyment of this episode is mixed. The only thing that is interesting about this episode for me is the legend part since it's world building and a learning experience of the Southern part of the Equestria.
It's safe to say that I love Honest Apple more now, sure that one has flaws but it's not as boring as Daring Done.

I once did a theory that I thought Pharynx has a purple black changeling look in the beginning is because he was reformed once and realizes he lost his original purpose then became the purple corrupted changeling but in truth, he's just born with it (like Thorax with his light green eyes back in season 6). Now I'm guessing it's because of them being born at the same time having different eye color or they're different cause they're important to the plot.
Whatever the case, It's a decent episode nonetheless. Trixie's awesome, Starlight's cool yet focus-down, Changelings' hilarious and the brothers are parallel to the Royal sisters (What a coincidence)

Couldn't have say it better

I don't know why but the 1st story was fascinating to me. How the vikings are Earth pony legends is pretty symbolism by itself and how they can act tough over logic. I don't really tend to say that ending was a cop out or lazy writing, I think it was some sort of magic that was hidden there on the ground that happened to be released and transfer itself to Rockhoof. Probably just me though since I really like those kinds of details.
Of course, the 2nd story is more interesting than the other two. Probably because of how it was all Asian like and what it represents the Unicorns themselves. Intelligent and empathy. Ms. Mane is complex by her own tale, though I can't tell if the flowing mane means she has all powerful magic or not (A creator of Alicorn perhaps?). Not to mention, THAT ORANGE PONY!
So Torch-like dragon is in this legend. Either they're lazy at making dragons or that's Torch himself. Flash Magus (can't they come up a better name? Something other than Flash?) is RD that is similar to Dash but made the cockiness to the max, but they mix it pretty well i say.
Also, Scootaloo has been adopted by RD's parents off screen lol. No seriously, I have never seen these two saying this 'sister bond' so casually, not to mention act like one two. The hints are too strong for this episode.
Overall, nice world building episode. Not the best way of telling it but it works nonetheless.

It was decent, I gotta say. It's not on par with the good spike episodes from season 6 but at least it has some funny and interesting moments

I never realized a review this powerful would let me to tears once more

Not gonna lie, this review feels like a cozy story to get ready to sleep, it gives me a warm feeling when reading it XD
Of course, this episode is perfect and the most mature MLP episode we have ever had for the longest time now. It goes to show that MLP can handle adult topics like this in a meaningful way and not being dark directly. Nothing will ever beat this episode. It's a personal yet relateable episode that will always be remember.
And guess what? We're in season 7! This series is still going strong! XD

Now that's comforting. A really good sister princess episode.

Why I won't be watching season 9

I kinda understand what you mean. Having to see your favorite show come to an end will always be heartbreaking, especially when it has make an impact on your life and all.
For me, MLP has always been the show that always brighten up my day even when I was at my lowest in life. It has always made me smile whenever there's a new episode coming. Sure, the quality of an episode may vary from person to person, but for a show to air 9 seasons long is definitely an accomplishment in my point of view.
Sure, I may have joined the pony train somewhat late when it's at its popularity, but I can't deny how much the show has done for me with it's unexpectedness and it's characters.
I respect your decision. You do what you think it's best for you
