The only time there was ever a boat was in Pony Point of View and although they gloss over the fact that pirates are cannon by having AJ act like one - Well that and pinkie told Twi that she looked like a pirate that one time she gave her that eyepatch - I wouldn't call it conclusive evidence.

Edit: Also, the time that one Filly was dressed as a pirate for Nightmare Night, so it is a little closer to being conclusive evidence

No. FiM CAN'T go for as long, due to two linked reasons.

 

The Simpsons has the ability to go on for so long due to the general lack of continuity and character development- rarely do any changes last more than the episode they are made in.

 

FiM, on the other hand, has character development (so much so they needed to bring in Starlight to have a character they can keep developing), and the continuity is kept. FiM also has a static timeline, unlike the Simpson's having a sliding timeline.

 

As it is, I feel FiM has already gone on too long, although it may improve again.

Status-quo. You are trying to say that SImpsons has a status quo for every season whereas MLP breaks the status quo multiple times a season making it incapable of lasting too long. I remember this whole argument when the crusaders got their marks... which is bs because like everyone else has said the main point of MLP is for the toy line - it's starting to feel like the only reason they are exploring new areas and breaking status quo is just to have a bigger toy line to make the bronies buy because we all now the children are not going to remember that background character from one episode but they can't acknowledge the bronies contribution to the fandom because reasons, which is just bs.

I already feel that with six seasons, the show might have already lasted too long.

I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really don't want to see FIM last anywhere near as long as the Simpsons has and become a hollow shell of itself devoid of creativity and originality.

Season 8 and we'll talk.

Season 4 ended and I do not remember people complaining to much - those who were are just... wrong for saying it will go down on a "high note".

Season 5 ended and I think the argument was more about Starlight than anything (I don't remember).

Season 6 just ended, and they actually have something to explore and elaborate on: the Changelings.

I'm just noticing how they took the plot where someone who isn't the mane 7 uses some form of the elements of harmony and becomes evil. Like when Sunset used Twilight's crown and became a demon in the first one. But there is one thing I'm still curious about...where is human Sunset Shimmer? We know that the one hanging out with the mane 6 is from the pony world but where is her human counterpart? 

I barely have to think for this one. There is no "Other Sunset"

Some things are just different in this universe, it's not a perfect mirror copy if they were humans. (HA! Mirror Copy! Get it!?) Sci-Twi goes to a different school, the crusaders may have a different reason for being friends, Filthy Rich is evil, a castle guard is reduced to a high-school-aged student. Not everyone gets a mirror copy of themselves, there were no human world Sirens, no sign of Sombra (I'd like to see them explain that one. Magic existing a thousand years before that school.) No discord, unless you count the plushie, no changelings, no ursa major/minors (Coming to life, I mean). No princesses, just being a high rank in a school does not mean anything - there are other schools, saying the four of their ranks were turned into school ranks would be saying that there are a lot more princesses in Equestria. I don't mean the one or two more like Chrysalis and the other ones from certain episodes (I think it was the episode where spike went back to the crystal empire) - I mean "a lot" as in double that of how many is in Adventure Time and maybe you're close.

I only have four things to Criticize.

1) Filthy Rich: Already mentioned, should not be evil

2) Quality: Honestly the whole thing was not that great. I did not like it as much as I do the other three, let alone the one I liked the least before this one came out. It feels like the writers had something good planned but the greed of those in charge said "Hurry" and the whole thing was rushed.

3) Flash... Okay... a lot to talk about here. I ain't really one of those who ship... so I'm only going to gloss over Timber by saying his name once. However I do think his corny one-liners were a good idea - it's still a show for children; children don't understand the more sophisticated flirting and the science with all the "signals". One-liners is just what they had to settle with so the young-uns aren't left in the dark with the romance.

Now about Flash. In the first film he was a love interest; the second, the weirdo who stopped liking her; the third... well... comic relief.... He left Sunset for unknown reasons, when Twilight came he was in the right place at the right time - he HAD some sort of character, he was not just some background guy, he was not just another weird teen in highschool. When he tried to flirt with Sunset... He was just another pretty face trying to get some, just another background guy. He had potential as a character, now they turned him into exactly what Fan Fiction makes him out to be.

Let me explain. That shirt she wore for the mini fashion show had a small gap on the chest area - again, I don't think I would know  but shouldn't that are be right in between. My point is there should have been a line to give detail to the fact that that is where they separate. I mean, I know it's a kids show, but later when they were all on the ground (no screenshot) there was more detail on them than I would consider "TV-Y7"

(Okay, so I'm posting a month later than the latest post, I just watched the movie yesterday, I'm starting to become a busier person than usual)

I'm also upset they didn't make it into the film. I'm even more upset that I did not notice. But honestly the only thing on my mind is that tent system, only had two people per tent, one of the three would have had to either share the tent with their sister or some other student... then again Flutters did end up with Vinyl, so the latter does not seem completely out of the question.

It has to do with what the bronies call "soccer moms"  thinking the Equestria Girls being "too sexy."  (Why do they always call them "soccer moms", I may never know)

Or maybe something to do with Flash and the flirtyness and the "cock-block" and all that stuff

for me, it was really easy to overlook Midnight in me, Gloriosa's song, and the credits, but I just did not like the movie as much as I expected myself to.

I hated middle school...

In the eight grade, there was this one girl. My memory's a little off, on sec....

She was a new student, she came near the end of the year.

There was this other student, constantly harassed me. Not as a bully - well not as a bully most of the time.

Well she "stood up" for me when I was harassed by the other guy.

And she wanted me to stand up for her when he "harassed" her...

I'm not sure how many of you watch the show on T.V. on the Hub's former channel, but there was a trailer reminding about the hiatus ending on the 30th and during one of the frames Spike was next to a Changling who looked very calm and seemed to be introducing him to other ponies who just screamed a little at it. I couldn't find a video of it on Hasbro's youtube channel to link it here but I think this is the Changling they are referring to not Chrysalis

I reckon this is the episode where Flurry Heart will be stolen to prepare for the finale.

Maybe in the finale, Chrysalis gets dethroned and the new leader is friendly to Equestria. That way the changelings as a whole are 'reformed', but not Chryssi herself.

I would have voted for flash to be her bf that way the pony Flash can date the pony Twilight and the only discontinuance left in the "mirror copy" of Equestria is no double Sunset Shimmers.

Someone on /mlp had a theory that He might be gloriosa's protector and was sent along with Gloriosa to the human world to continue acting as her guardian there;

So he might be interested in her due to being able to detect (Smell like a wolf maybe?) dark magic on twilight and thinks she might be a threat to gloriosa. (That being said, I'd hate that, as I've had enough of the "No real villain" plots like in FG.
