As a Wii U owner, I'd just like to tell you that you can't really appreciate the Wii U (or its gamepad) until you've tried it. So if there's a demo somewhere in your area, or if a friend has one, I'd highly suggest you play it for a decent amount of time, to get a feel for it. However, if you think the price is too high, there isn't much I can do for you... I like to get physical copies of my games, so there's rarely a reason to download something as huge as a "AAA game". You can always hook up external storage... As far as an ethernet port, you can buy a USB to ethernet adapter for it. Awkward controls? If you haven't tried it, you really should. And if you have, and it's impossible to play like that, there are some third party "Pro Controllers" that move the control sticks to be more like Xbox. Yeah, Mario Kart 8 is pretty punishing to players in first, too. Seeing as it's more of a family/party game, though, I can see why they wouldn't want one person to always be in first. The blue shell is much rarer now, though, and there's a new item that can block it and other projectiles, as well as spinning out players that are next to you. So I guess it all comes down to taste. If you like Nintendo games a lot, it's silly (at least in my opinion) to let these few problems (almost all of which can be solved) steer you off. I think it's a great console; the only problem I have with it right now is the lack of games, which, with Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros., a new Legend of Zelda game and more around the corner, won't be a problem for long.

How I not seen dis sooner? And y u gotta b so gud? :L But seriously, it looks awesome! Sounds really cool bringing together a bunch of great minds to polish the idea... I've never really been a part of something like that... It always baffles me (and interests me) all this technical stuff in design... I just throw together random stuff, and I'm too lazy to do teh geomitreez. xD Ah well, maybe some day... Anyways, I hope to see more awesome design from you and the others in the future!

Over time, I've noticed a few possible references, but most likely just coincidental similarities to other TV shows and movies. Tirek's (by the way, his name totally sounds like t-rex, and that's kinda eh...) final form during the battle looks kinda like Jafar in genie form from Disney's Aladdin. Especially at this one part where he looks upward and raises his fists. GOOSE TO THE BUMPS, MAN. Also, the final battle reminded me greatly of the final battle between Aang and Ozai from The Last Airbender. Especially when Twilight is crushed into a mountainside and Tirek smashes her right through it. So yeah, I just though these were kinda interesting, and I thought I'd share. :3 EDIT: Oh, one more thing... Tirek befriended Starswirl, we know that from the exposition dump section of the episodes. And it seems like Discord and Tirek have had some sort of friendship or interaction before... I couldn't help but think of the Discord=Starswirl fan-canon that was started so long ago... Oh, so that was Scorpan... Nvm, then.

Wow... I went in not expecting much, but that ended up being one of the goosebumpiest, epicest finales ever. Tirek was pretty cool (though I was hoping his name would be pronounced differently), and there wasn't very much in the episode that felt contrived. It made sense, and that's really impressive, considering there wasn't any setup for it before season 4. Really good job, MLP staff. Can't wait to see what you do with season 5. A note... I was a little worried that the mane 6 would keep their "rainbow power" designs. They weren't bad, but it would've been really weird seeing Rainbow's spiky hair in every episode. xD

I see a decent amount of people totally harping on this episode, and I don't quite see why... I see people talking about all this "hype" leading up to it... Am I insane? Did I miss something? I don't remember any promise from the MLP staff that it would be a super amazingly epic episode about sports (which, honestly, I really don't care about, so that might help)... But maybe I'm wrong. Anyways, this was another episode, like "Trade Ya!", that had me smiling most of the way through. It was pretty funny, and the antics were just overall fun to watch. The only parts that bugged me were: 1) Ms. Harshwhinny's voice... Am I the only one that feels that her voice is just... Really forced? I think the VA was going for the right feel and accent, but it sounded like they were trying just a little too hard. Of course, a nitpick, but it bugged me. 2) Spike's intentionally awkward performance of the Cloudsdale national anthem was a little too long and awkward, IMO. It got unfunny a ways in, and I just wished it would "End... Now...". xD But yeah, other than that, I enjoyed it a lot, hence the "Loved it!" rating. :3 I also noticed that the animation was really super good for the most part in this episode. Was I just not noticing it before, or is this episode's animation just better? It looked really smooth. Great work, DHX!

Yup, Aonuma (the current director of the franchise) was even going to unveil it at last year's E3, but decided against it for some reason. He was also going to reveal it at some comic con last year, but he decided to talk about ALBW instead. On topic: To be honest, even just a new Zelda will probably satisfy me (I've only played Skyward Sword and Wind Waker, as far as the series goes, and they were two of the best games I've ever played), but a new Metroid would be really nice. I'm a rather casual gamer, at least probably in most "hardcore" gamers' eyes, so I'm not familiar with a lot of the franchises everyone is raging for.

I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OF RAINMETER. So yeah... I was looking around for cool Rainmeter stuff, and I saw a configuration where the clock was behind part of the wallpaper. My Metroid wallpaper already had a nice, distinct foreground, so I separated it out, made it into a simple image meter, and then positioned it and the clock to my liking. It's definitely got room for improvement, but it looks pretty cool, IMO, and I'm a complete coding n00b, so even though this is the simplest of Rainmeter skins, I'm happy with it.

I don't think anybody really thinks that being a brony makes them manlier in some way. And if they do, they're delusional. xD However, the general non-brony populous tends to think the opposite: that watching a TV show obviously meant for little girls (though the writers have always had the enjoyment of everybody in mind) somehow makes us less manly than we once were. And this just simply isn't the case. I think that, when bronies say things like, "MLP IS THE MANLIEST THING EVER", that's just an overreactive and sarcastic response to the wrong opinion of non-bronies. But if they just say something like, "I'm a brony, but that doesn't make me any less of a man", then yeah, that's completely true. Watching a show meant for little gir no, for everyone to enjoy... That doesn't make you less masculine.
