Dear Princess Celestia.. I'm writing to you today because there's something that I've been wondering for a while now, and today it's been running through my head all day so i thought i might ask.. I'm curious of what kind of pony you were before you became an Alicorn.. Were you born a pegasus and gained the gift of magic? Or perhaps you were a unicorn and gained the gift of flight? Could you have possibly even been just an earth pony and gained both..?
