Hey hey, welcome from another ex-Yugoslavenian. Ex-ex, maybe, since I've since moved, I guess? -

From what I can tell, you seem to be focusing on Rarity's flaws in specific episodes, while you do seem to ignore that she acknowledged and apologized for those flaws by the end of the selfsame episode. She realizes she was hogging the spotlight at Sonic Rainboom. She realizes {even though Twilight didn't} that she neglected her friend's present in favor for attention in Sweet and Elite, likewise risking her newfound popularity in favor of standing up for her friends. And as for Applejack's Day Off, the initial setup is to drag her friend away from work before she breaks down, while ensuring that somepony else is there to take over that workload, which I, frankly, consider to be an act of compassion rather than selfishness. As others have pointed out, while Rarity does not engage in as much physical labor as Applejack, that's balanced out by designing, detail work and social effort. She is a self-made mare, what we've seen of her parents, they seem to be run-of-the-mill middle class ponies, which implies her business was built from the ground up. She also has a younger sister to take care of, and even in such an early episode like Suited for Success, fitting the element of generosity, she put in a great deal of time and effort into making dresses for her friends, even ignoring her own better judgement in favor of their wishes. These are some of my reasons why I consider Rarity the most admirable of the mane six ponies.

I'm a bad person. Also I hope this hotlink works.

As long as justice doesn't get conflated with vengeance. -- As for me, I wouldn't mind seeing Chrysalis redeemed - eventually. Right now, she seems far too set in her ways for a single-episode turnaround. What I'm hoping to see is more of her, being foiled for a couple of times {and learning a lesson out of it} before coming to an epiphany - a Trixie-like arc, of sorts.

Why don't the ponies look for more Changeling hives?
Quinch replied to KillerKingBakudan's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
It bears remembering that "safeguarding" the changelings under her authority {has she birthed them all? Are there female changelings? There's a lot of open questions} was something she did in the first place, in this case raising them to be selfish and care only for themselves, apart from her, and that kind of control still broke easily once a different way was shown. But that's not even what you're suggesting in the first place - you would recommend tracking down all possible Changeling hives, whether Chrysalis' or not, and effectively destroying them, implying that this course of action has less to do with Chrysalis, and more about the Changeling species as a whole. Am I correct in making that assumption so far? -

In all honesty, I find the idea.... really frigging disturbing, to be honest. I mean, we're not looking at genocide, exactly, but you're proposing a decimation of an entire sentient species on the grounds that they might not conform to ponies' standards - doubly so since they have shown that they are more than capable of rising above being raised to animalistic urges. Posts like this make me worry sometimes. -
Hi there, welcome to the forums! I have no idea what any of those abbreviations mean, but you seem like a pretty cool person. As for asking stuff.... hmmmm, if you could wallpaper your bedroom in any kind of design at all, what would it be?

Honestly, it's a bit of a tricky question. Chrysalis, as a character, has mainly been an enigma until now, and there's been only a handful of insights into what drives her. From what I can tell from the last episode {and I may need to rewatch it}, her primary driver seems to be her hive - and the question is whether she considers her hive as a platform for power and authority, or if she sees the hive more literally as her children, and felt that their transformation against her command was a betrayal of her "mother knows best" worldview. I suspect that, long before Chrysalis is slated for recurring villainy or redemption, we'll end up seeing a lot more of what makes her tick.

general Names for fictional planets

If I could name one, it would be Atlas 33. Yeah, still bitter. -
Frankly, I tend to see her as the gloomy Pinkie - one where the sad and lonely days get to her, and she is not able to cheer herself up. As for Cupcakes, well, I do find it interesting how "depressed" and "homicidal" seem to have conflated themselves in the eyes of a large part of the fandom, but am not sure what to really make of it.

What, no Run CMC DMC? Worst? Hmmmm.... I can't answer that one. There's way too many contenders.

Hi there, welcome to the forums. I hope find plenty of like-minded and interestingly different-minded individuals here. As for your question, I think the primary reason would be the positive messages. I could elaborate if need be, but that's about the short of it.

I'm... guessing around 1985? It was a then-new Commodore-64, and I'm going by the release date of the first game I played on it, Gridder.

Hmmm. I'd say Frontier: First Encounters, X-COM series {though openXcom is awesomesauce}, Avernum and Simcity 2000, off the top of my head.

Well, if you want, I wouldn't mind starting up a casual RP with you - my own RP record is less than stellar, so what's to lose?
