  1. I have a year old basset hound/Australian cattle dog mix. She definitely favors the basset genetics in her apperance. Her name is Scout
  2. No, I wanted to join the airforce but due to my already existing PTSD they turned me away. I don't agree with war either, but as someone who has friends and family as veterans and friends entering or already in active duty military I do support our troops. War is awful, dirty, bloody, and the emotional scars it leaves never go away. People join the military because they want to serve their nation, protect their familes or need a way to better their lives. *gets off soapbox and apologizes* but yes I know bronies in the military and a friend of mine says humming the songs through basic really helped him through it
  3. Thank you for the friend add! Look foreword to seeing you around the forums :)

    1. Applejack's Wonder

      Applejack's Wonder

Your welcome! I look forward to seeing you around the forums too!

  4. I love Korra from Legend of Korra so far, she is hard headed and a very strong character
  5. My younger sister who was 12 at the time got me hooked on MLP G4. I grew up with G1 and let me tell you there was not that much to miss, I didn't care much for it when I was a little girl, Power Rangers got my attention more. But when I saw the drawings and watched an episode with my little sister I was very surprised how well written it was and what a total removal (besides certain character concepts) it was from G1. My little sister's friends all think it's fantastic I am such a huge fan of G4. So I guess I experience some overlap because I am like a parent to my younger sister.
  6. Pony inception. Princess Luna disguising herself as the Changelling Queen who disguised herself as Princess Cadence. A pony in a pony in a pony. It's a regular turkducken of a mess going on there...
  7. She is a mystery and like Eric said I do hope season 3 gives some explanation. I also hope in season 3 we get to see a bit of Shining Armor and Princess Cadence as guest appearances or a part of one episode. They have interesting concepts and are important ponies, I would hate to see them just used for a one time event and then never seen or heard of again. Especially after the whole BBBFF music number.
  8. procrastinating a paper on the etymology of a select curse word. 2 pages down, 3 to go and 6 hours till I have to be in class! Wooo linguistics...
  9. I love the lullabye song in the episode (Ahh I forgot the name of the episode) when the cutie crusaders have a slumber party at Fluttershy's cottage. Sweetie Bell is so cute belting out the lullaby.
  10. I saw part one the other day and it was amazing!!
  11. Visiting my boyfriend's family. They only do netflix so I figured I would spread the love. His mom loves it now and goes around humming the songs.
  12. I seem to be the minority here. I am a pagan. I respect a religions though, as everyone has a right to choose their own path and believe in whatever they wish.
  13. Thank y'all so much for the warm welcome! I really appreciate it!! Makes me want to sing the smile song!
  14. It is a tie between Applejack and Fluttershy. The cutie mark crusaders are pretty awesome too!
  15. Thank you for the kind welcome!
  16. Party of one did it for me, seeing Pinkie's meltdown like that is NOTHING G1 would have done. She isn't just an upset pony that thinks her friends have abandoned her, but you see this sort of fragile psyche Pinkie can have. Especially since she reacted in such a drastic and dark way. It went towards a dark way showing the tea party, not just Pinkie's dialogue and tone, but the complete change in her appearance, she wasn't the Pinkie Pie we all know and love in that moment. Overall the show in general is nothing like G1, the story telling is fun and creative, and appeals to an adult audience as well. Watching the first two episodes of season one did it for me, I remember being blown away by Nightmare Moon, the character in general was nothing that appeared in the G1 I grew up on or remember.
  17. I'm new here too! Nice to meet you and look foreword to reading some of your stuff
  18. Hi there! I am glad to see a place to share my pony love I grew up with re-runs of the first my little pony and while I enjoyed it (as most girls my age at the time did) I didn't love it. I was sick a three weeks ago and everyone has been telling me how good MLP: Friendship is Magic was. I wanted to see it but didn't have a way to access it, seeing as I don't partake in the cable or satellite. Lo and behold to my sniffing sneezing self browsing through netflix on the computer, there appeared the ENTIRE first season of MLP. I fell in love with all the characters, the animation, the story as well. I watched the entire first season in two days while getting over my sinus infection. Right now is a really difficult time for me loosing a very close family member the other night, I didn't want to get up or do anything today, my boyfriend went and turned on MLP hoping to cheer me up. It did, it gave me a reason to laugh, to smile, to remember that even though I am hurting and things aren't looking up that life goes on and it's okay to smile and laugh and that the sun will shine again. So live on MLP and a big hoove five to all the fellow pega-sisters and bronies out there! I look foreword to getting to know everyone and making some awesome friends! -Sugarcube
