@Randimaxis That definetly wasn't the reaction that Mist was expecting. He couldn't believe it. Luna had gond through all the trouble of setting up a fake search party just to spare him emarasment. But of course he had to go and ruin it by overthinking things. He wondered why Luna hadn't told him about this plan in his dream. That couldn't have stopped this whole thing from happening. Then again she was probably having to much fun to remember. "I'm sorry Sir," Mist said, disappointed in himself for ruining such a well thought out plan, "I guess I just feared that if the guards searches they might find evidence to suggest that Luna might be involved. And even though me eating the cake is the lasted gossip, it'd be much worse if they found out about Luna helping me."

@@crispy fries "Sir understood sir," he said respectfully as he headed towards Jaded's office. As he walked he could hear some of the other guards mumbling amoungst themselves. Several were shocked at what Mist had done while others simply prayed that his death would be merciful. Mist didn't blame them. He knew the tone that Jaded had used. Mist used to call it the calm before the storm. It was something his dad used to do when he was younger. If Mist misbehaved in public then his father would talk to him in same tone as Jaded, but as soon as he got home his father exploaded with anger. Mist got to Jaded's office and stood at his desk while he waited for Jaded and whatever punishment he would bring. But at least they wouldnt know Luna had anything to do with it.

The hall was pack with at least a hundred or more ponies, all eager to laugh themselves silly at tonights show. Meanwhile back stage the comedians were preparing to go on. "Show is starting in five minutes," said a stage hand holding a clip board, "the order will be; Dapper Charmer, Randi Maxis, Flamestreak, Laugh Track, Priestess and finally Dapper Charmer again." The stage hand then left the stage and left the comedians to finish preparing.

A bright purple Bentley R-type continental parked outside the recently build cider bar known as Calypso's. The car door opened and a masked unicorn stepped out. His name was Hooligan and he had come to Calypso's for the same reason every other Unicorn had come here. But unlike every other unicorn he had come by invatation. Hooligan grinned widely as he walked past the hundreds of other unicorns who were trying to get inside. He got to the front of the line and showed the doorman his invite as he smugly walked inside. As soon as he was inside he felt the magic flow back in him. It was intoxicating. He looked down at his ticket. Hooligan hadn't really read it properly, all he could remember was that he needed to come here with a car and that there was a wish offered to the winner. Hooligan knew exactly what he was going to wish for. He was going to get all the powers of Discord. Ever since he was a child he loved the stories of Discord. But when he reformed Hooligans heart broke. That's why he was going to win this contest and become the next lord of caos.

@@Randimaxis, Mist's heart sank slightly once Jaded was finished talking. He had a very strong suspicion as to excactly what 'Property of Celestia's' was damaged. And as such he knew exactly who the the culprits were. Him and Princess Luna. He looked around at his fellow guards it's clear that they were very much on edge. Half looked as though the were worried they might get blamed and the other half looked determined to find the culprit. Mist sighed. He knew that after everyone began searching sooner or later they would find proof that it was him, or even worse they would find proof that Luna was involved. He couldnt let that happen. "Sir I have a question Sir," said Mist as he stepped foward, "Sir am i to assume the the item that was ruiend last night was the cake i was suppose to be guardeing? Because if that is the case there is no need for the man hunt." he took a deep breath. "I'm the onw who ruined the cake Sir."

@@crispy fries Mist groaned as his body adjusted to the sudden state of being awake. He looked up at Jaded Moonstone and sighed. Why did he always have to wake up before the good part? "Could you not have waited like five more minutes? I was having this dream where I was dancing with the most beautiful mare in the world," he said, leaving out the fact that the made was Luna, "and we were just about to...." Mist stopped, it was clear from Jaded's expression that he wasn't interested. He got up and headed to the courtyard. No doubt he was going to be punished for the whole 'cake eating' incident with Luna. He would probably be kicked out of the guards. Mist got to the courtyard and stood at attention. As he waited for his punishment he sighed. It seemed his courtship with Luna was over before it had began.

Mist touched the water and pulled it out imediatly when he felt the pain. "That's definatly poison death water," Mist said spreading his wings, "no choice but to go over it." Mist flew over the water and landed just outside the deku palace. If anyone knew what was up it was probably the deku king.

"Now call me crazy Sparkle but I think the smell might be coming from the swamp," Mist said with a chuckle, "but then again I have been holding a fart I'm since Clocktown." Mist began lagging. Soon he couldn't control his laughter and he found himself on the ground.

@@Randimaxis If Mist was unsure about whether or not Luna knew that he was talking about his own desire to date her before, then the sly look on her face made him sure that she knew. But even though Luna knew Mist decided he'd still play along anyway, "well you're so majestic and wise. You're simply the most beautiful pony in Equestria. You're not uptight, you're fun loving and free spirited. You're the most amazing mare i've ever met." Mist blushed.

"Ok, it is true that you almost died twice on that adventure but look on the bright side...." Mist stopped for a moment as he tried to think of a bright side, "at least you...uh...didn't die twice." Mist chuckled awkwardly, "besides, you don't have to come with me if you don't want to."

"Come on where's your sense of adventure?" Mist asked Sparkle with a smile, "sure saving Hyrule was tough but it was pretty fun wasn't it." Mist chuckled as he remembered the amazing adventure he had had with Sparkle back in Hyrule. And now he'd get to have a whole new amazing adventure.

Mist looked at the salesman with determination in his eyes. " Don't worry me and Sparkle will find those ponies, get your mask back and stop the moon from crashing down, " said Mist confidently. He turned to Sparkle, "come on let's get going, we have a world to save."

@@Randimaxis "Of course they do," Mist answered, believing what he was saying and not just saying it because it is what Luna wanted to hear, "everypony deserves at least one day where they can just do as they please, not having to worry about pleasing anyone else but themselves." Mist looked into Luna's beautiful luminescent eyes and smiled. She had probably seen through his ruse and knew that the friend he was talking about was him. But he was glad that she had not shot down his advances but instead gone along with it. "Okay so, hypothetically, how would you respond if, for example, this friend of mine was to invite you to join him for dinner and a movie?"

@@Randimaxis At this moment in time Mist felt the happiest he had in his entire life. His heart was simply a flutter as he danced with Luna in the night sky. He blushed as he could feel the softness and warmth of Luna's coat. Mist wanted so bad to tell Luna how he felt. He knew he would more likely then not have his affection dismissed. But right here and now he felt so comfortable around her that he couldn't just say nothing. "Princess if I might ask something," Mist said looking up at Luna, "hypothetically if I had a friend who wished to court you how would they go about it?" Mist's blush deepened.

"Holy crap!" Mist said as he realised that the imp was using that mask to bring the moon crashing down. He turned to Sparkle, "we have to get that mask back. If we don't then that imp is gonna destroy everything using that giant creepy ass moon," Mist said panicing slightly

Mist smiled happily when he saw that Sparkle had been turned back to a pony. He ran up and hugged her tight. "Oh Sparkle, its so good to see you back to your old beautiful self." He looked at her and then at the mask, "so this mask really can take you back in time."

Mist looked around and was more confused then ever. He looked up to see the moon back up where it had been when they had first come here. He turned to Sparkle, "what in Hyrule did you just do?" he asked, "why didn't the moon kill us all? I'm not complaining but what?

Mist nodded to the salesman and lept for the mask but the imp dodged. Mist tried again and again and again, each time failing. He looked up at the moons which would kill them soon. There was only time for Mist to do one thing before he died. "Sparkle, since we're probably not gonna make it I wanted to just say. I love you. I always have"

Mist found Sparkle trying to climb to clock tower but she wasn't getting far. Mist picked her up and flew her up to the top of the tower where the IMO seemed to be waiting for them. Mist put Sparkle down and stared at the imp. It was time to get those masks back. Now or never

Mist almost fell over as the ground shook. He didn't like this, every moment he and Sparkle, as well as the rest of the people here, were getting closer and closer to death. Mist tried to help Sparkle find another way up the tower but he couldnt find a way to get to the imp. "Guess we have to wait,"

"Don't worry," said Mist assuredly to the mask sales pony, "we don't have your mask yet but we're close. We'll have it by the time you leave tomorrow." Mist knew Sparkle was probably worried about all the citizens here but Mist also knew that the two of them couldn't stop an entire moon.

Despite Mist entire body telling him not to, he decided to look up. When he saw the moon he practically crapped himself. If that moon was scary before it was straight up nightmare inducing now. He needed to get out of this town as soon as Sparkle was back to normal.

Mist was worried, the moon was getting closer and closer. If they didn't hurry and get those masks back they be crushed along with the rest of where ever they were. Mist stood up, "okay the clock tower won't open up till midnight." he stated, "so what do we do till then?"
