    Hey, quick question for any computer savy ponys on the forums; In the future, if I bought a PC with Windows 8, could I somehow transfer all my data on my laptop, including my windows 7 onto the PC?

      Yes, switching the hard drives should be enough. Don't forget to re-install all necessary drivers, though - chances are, your new computer is going to have a different sound card, graphics card, etc. that may not work properly immediately upon the switch. Windows Update is usually pretty good about finding missing drivers, but you may need to scour the hardware vendors' sites for them.

      You might not even have to switch hard drives, if its not a laptop or one of those gimmicky 'all in one' computer things, you might be able to have two hard drives at the same time! (assuming you have the correct cables and the Motherboard supports it)

      Just an FYI, windows 8 ain't looking so good. I would stick with Windows 7 for now.
